I was a little disappointed with the condition of the hotel, carpets dirty walls need washing a painting, u rate your hotel as a 4.5 star so I expect more. You can not shower when someone else is showering in the next room, you either have no water or very little pressure. Out air conditioning wasn't cold and found it hard to get a good nights sleep as the room was warm. Your personnel did not go through the Accor card benefits and it wasn't until the day before we went home that Telia at breakfast told us it was free and then benifits of it, therefore we signed up and used your facilities for breakfast. I really expected more for our money and would seriously think twice before staying in your hotel again, your location is the only only benefit I would reconsider.

Very good apart from noise from the room above. You need to put rubber feet on the legs of chairs as we were kept awake by people upstairs dragging chaits across the floor. We spoke to reception and they weren't overly helpful. It would also have been better if the swimmi g pool was slightly heated. The food at the restaurant was sensational!

« We had a lovely time. Faboulous location. Magnificent lobby! »

Things we loved: The lobby, the singer in the lobby, breakfast, housekeeping, the pool deck. Things that frustrated us: A beautiful bathroom with a inadequate shower curtain, a wonderful breakfast but we had to wait a while to be seated. A lovely room with a tv that needed to be zoomed out and couldn't be. A wonderful pool deck but on many occasions there were no towels available and the water was absolutely freezing. The gym also lacked towels on a couple of mornings but great equipment. My husband was also incredibly frustrated with his card-he had to reactivate it over ten times. The service all round was very good and staff were friendly. I found the attention to detail at the convention excellent, I have been to many and this was wonderful.

I was booked on to the 14th floor and colleagues/ friends were booked on to the 16th floor. Immediately on entering the room I could smell a mouldy odour and mentioned this to the porter who agreed that the room did not smell fresh. Approximately a half an hour later I was suffering with sinusitis and had to call house keeping to see if anything could be done. They sprayed the room with a disinfectant but the only hid the problem for a short time. I asked if we could be shifted to a different room which was done but the room we were moved to had been used by a family prior to us and still had a baby's cot in it. I asked for the cot to be removed and was told they were very busy but it would be done some time that day. I had to ask again for the cot to be removed the next morning but this time I spoke directly to one of the room cleaners at my door who assured me it would be done before I returned. I was told after I left that the top three floors tend to leak through the walls, hence the mouldy odour, yet my colleagues on the 16th floor did not have a problem with their room.The look of the balcony and the problem with my room gave me the impression that the room had not been used in a while but I was the unlucky one to be booked into it. We hadn't eaten at the downstairs restaurant before and decided to try it with our colleagues but I cannot eat seafood and the choice of fair offered beyond the seafood was limited to say the least. We were all of the belief that the dinner was overpriced for what was offered and would have had a better experience had we gone out and dined ala carte.

My room was spacious, comfortable 'n' with a fantastic views from the 10th floor. I would graciously recommended anyone 2 stay @ ur hotel! Wh@ a great location 4 a National AA Convention! Only the 27th July I will turn 21 yrs sober through AA 'n' I am nearly 43yo! It was an absolute, amazing blast!

« Great people - but inflexible middle management »

First of all: The staff was excellent and all, the reception, the house keeping and the breakfast serving people did an excellent job in making my stay fantasic. This would earn you a 10 on the scale above! But I had a very unpleasant encounter and am really upset on how inflexible an issue was treated by the hotel. I had a reservation in the hotel from Saturday to Thursday for a conference where the Pullmans was the prefered hotel on the conference list. A colleague of mine also had a reservation from Saturday to Saturday. It happens that my collegue could not attend the conference but was to late to cancel the reservation. Since the room was already paid he offered the room to me which I gladly accepted. So I asked at the reception that I'd like to take the room instead of him and this was also validated via email from my colleague. Unfortunately there were some problems and the hotel staff told me that they cannot use the already paid funds of my colleague for my stay such that I need to pay that on my own. This was such a bad Customer Experience for me that I could not believe it! You already got the payment from my colleague (as well as mine since I neither could cancel my reservation) but you made me pay the extra days which were not covered by my reservation. That means to earned twice on the same room. Honestly, as a customer I do not care how you internaly book the money. But I had to suffer from the fact that somehow you were not able to allocate the room budget for me. Really? I'm working in a field related to User Experience and I really must say that my user experience on my stay is that bad because of this incapability of handling an issue by your side. This was NOT great service to a customer. I could understand it if you would have lost money in the end. No discussion here. But in the end you earned more than originally. Originally it were the two reservations. Now it were the two reservations + the extra days I had to pay. If I had just checked in using the name of my colleague there would have been no questions and I'd get the reservation. I can totally understand that you are a company that has to make profit. And by no means I want you to pay for my stay. That is out of question! But in inflexibility somewhere "in the middle management" (I do not know who did this decision) left my speechless. I would have been an absolute believer in your hotel if you had made arrangements to suit my needs. And since I believe in viral marketing I always tell people if things were great for me. Now I only can say that it is a great place but I'd never book again with you because of this bad experience. And I'm sorry so say so. I apologize for the long and negative report but I need to tell it like it is. I'd really like to stress that all the people I talked to were attentative and tried to comfort me best (especially the room service and breakfast waiters are the unsung heros of your hotel since they did such a great job in making me feel home!). There is a great book from Ken Blanchard named "Raving Fans" where they describe how to turn customers into raving fans for your business. I'd be such a raving fan for you if you had shown the flexibility and did arrangements to address my need. But it was a waisted chance. That is sad.
