Novotel Newcastle Beach Hotel

Quite a nice hotel but lots of small issues, none of which bothered me massively but given I paid almost 3 times the normal rate because of a concert locally, they probably rankled a bit more afterwards. If I'd stayed any longer than two nights I would have reported all the issues locally but as it was, I didn't spend much time in the room so the comfy bed was the most important thing. Pros - Big room with large and comfortable bed. Nice location. Very helpful staff. Room service was decent quality. Cons - Window didn't seal fully so noise outside was more of an issue than it should be. Net curtains inexplicably on the wrong side of the curtains. Minibar isn't stocked, you have to order up individual items which is not at all convenient. Rooms are very drab - lots of brown and mocha with no pictures to brighten it up. Security hangers - bugbear of mine, if somebody steals a hanger, charge them for it but having to fiddle about with those things is a pain. Multi-gym in fitness centre was broken.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation and made our stay really enjoyable. The staff, the venue and the atmosphere make this perfect whether family, friends, business or pleasure. Looking forward to a return stay.

The Novetelle Newcastle Beach is a fine hotel, providing beautiful rooms in a great location. Immaculate and spacious. The staff is personable and efficient. Highly recommend. Underground parking is provided for a fee.

We are repeat customers at this hotel, staff are exceptional the rooms are spacious and equipped with everything. Great position close to pubs and hunter street. Highly recommended. The resturant is very good for both dinner and breakfast

Beautiful location. We enjoyed the stay. Surprised that there is no bedroom slippers! The room was clean every time we returned. Should have asked for a change in pillows. Your front desk staff are very good.

Nice hotel A little expensive Don't know why Internet and parking are so expensive Great location tho the view wasn't that marvellous Prob better up a few floors On the 3rd Would come again But not the week beforeaster when it's more expensive

Great location, close to beach, restaurants and other Newcastle attractions. No noise at night. The room was clean, king size bed very comfortable with good shower. Overall, a very enjoyable one night stay.

Great CBD location, quick walk to the beach and some great restaurants. Friendly helpful staff, the room was nice and I had a balcony with views of the beach (I even saw dolphins from my balcony in the morning). The food was great, both the buffet breakfast and room service.

I was in Newcastle for business for 4 days. The Novotel was recommended by a colleague as being convenient to the office but also close to the beach for walks and restaurants. It was all that and more than comfortable. The restaurant and bar in the hotel were fine and a colleague and I had a lovely meal. A very comfortable stay

Room was upgraded to a higher floor with a nice view of the area which was greatly appreciated. Room size and amenities were excellent. Hotel was excellent overall and it would certainly be my intention to stay there again.

the hotel was very good, but the helpful staff made our stay excellent the young lady on the desk was so very helpful with our luggage including helping us settle down after an unpleasant trip to get to the hotel. The male front desk operator, the next day organised a cab for us and helped re parking of my car. they could not do enough for us. Turned a good stay into a great stay.

Room was available on arrival,nice birthday gift, friendly prompt service, nice room but there is construction next door that is impacting on the view this didnt produce any noticable noise.Will definately be back

Good customer service and food, large quiet rooms. Close to City centre Very good quality food in restaurant. Parking handy to lift. Plenty of pre arrival contact. No waiting on arrival Close to beach and large ocean swimming pool

Fabulous location in Newcastle city's east end being able to easily walk to the beach and surrounding cafes. Lovely views up to Stockton Bite from our room. Staff are excellent. Beds are sensational allowing for a great nights sleep.

We stayed here as we had Surfing Australia Hall of Fame awards night on Saturday. The staff were very attentive. Th room 316 was very good with the bed being firm as I like it. What I did find though, it didn't have a Nespresso machine that I was hoping would be there as I am a Platinum member.
