« Excellent except for one major service breakdown »

A major service breakdown occurred in the restaurant, where we were refused our request to eat a snack from the room service menu in the bar at 9.10 pm -we were told. At least the property manager fronted up the next morning and offered an genuine apology.

Dear Malcolm, Thanks for taking the time to complete the survey and provide me with feedback on your stay. I'm sorry and disappointed that we missed the mark and would genuinely appreciate understanding more of specifics of where we failed. As small business owners, my wife and I are always trying to improve the property. You mentioned the room was noisy - was this from the Post Office clock, street noise, an adjacent room or something else? You also mentioned the room was dirty and smelly. I have asked our Head Housekeeping to inspect but wanted to clarify if this was room 211 or 216 as your reservation contains two rooms. I would be genuinely grateful for any further details as this is a big concern for me if the room was not adequately cleaned by housekeeping before your arrival on the 7 April. « A very enjoyable stay. »

The first thing you notice is the smiles on the faces of the staff. Very pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was very nice. We had a continental breakfast and it was more than adequate. The young lady who brought our coffee was very friendly and also directed us to a place we wanted to go to in Launceston, so helpful as well. We will definitely return to Sebel. The new Reno of the dining room is great.

Pleasant. We had to leave at 6:40 in the morning but the restaurant does not open till 7:00. We would have loved a warm breakfast.

Have stayed with you several times, but on this occasion room was not up to normal standards. There were hairclips in the shower floor, windows looked like they had not been cleaned for ages. Toilet paper looked like it had just been used before we walked into the room.

« Quite disappointed with this stay. »

Quite disappointed with our latest experience. We generally receive a gift as Accor members in hotels we stay at, we previously have here, but not this time. A small but welcomed gesture. We booked two rooms over two nights, received a call the first morning asking if when we were checking out. I had booked the second room only on the Thursday but initial room was booked well ahead. Our room was not restocked with towels, milk, mini bar. Ryan, as always, was an absolute delight and is a highlight of staying at the hotel. Tho the overall dining experience was down on previous visits. The ladies on the floor were very polite, welcoming and lovely, but our plates were left until we left. We always look forward to the king island steak and unfortunately it was quite grissly this time. I definitely don’t want to go over the top, we still enjoyed our stay and would never think to change where we stay, however there were a few small things that on there own are no issue at all, but gathered over the few days, it was a little disappointing. The Easter eggs on the handles were fantastic, well done. A lovely surprise. We will see you again next month. Many thanks.

Dear Chelsea, Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and provide me with feedback on your recent stay. My apologies our team missed the action to place a welcome gift in your room as a Gold Accor member. Traces are put on reservations by our Night Auditor so I have asked our Operations Manager to investigate how this was missed. I've also asked our Restaurant Manager to remind her team of the importance of clearing tables in a timely manner. With regards to room servicing, please call our front desk at any time by dialing 9 if ever you need amenities and I'm sorry if Housekeeping missed servicing your room during your recent stay. One thing to note is that they are instructed not to enter a room which has the privacy sign displayed but if this wasn't up the room should have been serviced. One thing that helps the Housekeeping team is to display the "Please Service My Room" sign which is on the reverse side of the Privacy sign when you go out. They don't like to knock on a room door too early for fear of waking a guest but if the Please Service My Room sign is up they can service the room as they are doing all of the full cleans. I've placed a note on your profile regarding these issues so we have a record. Please contact me before your next stay so I can personally check on arrangements for your arrival. Facilities were great. Experience was satisfactory. There was a rubbish truck collecting large skip bins at half past 7 on Sunday morning. Was extremely unimpressed with the amount of noise this produced after being woken.

We had a very pleasant three night stay. We received a very friendly welcome at check in and were given help with parking and luggage, which we appreciated. The room was spacious and well-appointed and the triple glazing in the bedroom was effective and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff in the hotel and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is airy with a relaxed atmosphere and comprehensive menu for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is well situated to walk to many of Launceston's attractions. We'll stay there again.

Great location close to bars, restaurants and shops Fantastic view over the estuary Room was spacious with good facilities The only issue was cleanliness. It was obvious that things had been dusted around instead of being lifted and dusted underneath, which is minor I know, but there was faecal splashes on the toilet seat
