The view was outstanding. the size of the room was good. The furnishings & fitout was a little dated, but clean and functional. The location was perfect for my needs (conference near the Quay). I had issues connecting to the wifi which should have been included with my Husband's accor membership which was a real pain. The reason we booked here was because it was accor and i'd get wifi (as it was a work trip).

« Breathtaking view of the harbour. »

The service was first class. We originally booked a normal room but on checking in we were delighted to be given an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite with a harbour view. When we got to our room we then saw our view. Words could not describe it. 19th floor perfect position. Harbour Bridge and Opera house in all its glory. I did ask reception if they could ring the Lord Mayor and organise fireworks for that night. Incredibly to the right of the Opera House fireworks did go off which made that night more special. Thank you. Best place we have ever stayed at.

Very happy with the room and the location of the apartment. Staff were attentive and helpful. I didn't stay fur breakfast, as it looked unappealing and the room service meal I had on the Saturday was very poor, in the time of food delivery services, if meals like this are served may as well give up and tell customers to use a delivery service.

Your desk staff and bellman on duty answered every question and made excellent suggestions regarding off property restaurants and nearby activities. Everything was super clean. The view was appreciated. The hot breakfast the next morning was fabulous.

Room was great. Room 1404 view was amazing and made the stay very enjoyable. Desk staff very helpful. Pool was great. But the stay would better if the following was fixed:... * mould removed from the bathroom before arrival; * shower door fixed so that it would stay closed and not allow bathroom floor to flood during a shower; * seal shower screen so that it doesn't slowly leak water out all around the base of the toilet during the night... makes for a very distressing bathroom break when your pants suddenly and unexpectedly become saturated around your ankles when you sit down; * blinds/ceiling plaster is falling off in living room; * breakfast in restaurant was a dreadful experience, the two staff members were run off their feet/forgot orders, took 40 mins to get a hot breakfast, and 50 mins to get a first cup of coffee (after reminding them), ran out of plates and butter for the continental buffet, had to ask them to replenish supplies but initially resorted to feeding our hungry kids toast in bowl (have you ever tried buttering toast in a cereal bowl!?); * one staff member decided it was ok to walk into our apartment one morning to empty the bins and dishwasher while we were still there in our pajamas, and when politely asked to leave and come back later she said "oh, but I knocked!" (seriously!!)... she's due for some re-training in customer needs and courtesy.

« This rating was based on a safety issue. »

There was a false fire alarm on our last morning. We (and about 30 other people) descended over 21 floors but when we got to the first floor in the stairwell, we could not exit as the door was locked. We had to go down 3 or 4 more floors to finally be able to exit in the car park level. There were no signs to explain exit strategy (remember, we didn’t know that this was a false alarm). Once in the car park, we wandered around until we saw a door close, knocked on it and we were led to an exit. Why wasn’t someone waiting to let us out at the first floor, knowing that there would be many of us descending due to the false alarm? It was very scary and all we got were apologies. I would like to be contacted. Kn… The hotel location was fantastic but the room was very tired with rumpled carpet, warped and chipped doors and lots of missing grout. For the price, the rooms need a renovation.

The room was great, and the service of all staff I interacted with was very good. We ordered room service and the food was cold and of really quite awful. Only 2 lifts were operational and the wait for lifts was very long each time.

Reception staff were excellent. Room was well appointed and in overall good condition, although the carpet was worn and was probably due for replacement. Great views over the harbour and we spent many hours relaxing and just taking in these view.

« Thought it would be better »

Lifts were extremely slow. One morning I waited 10 minutes. Vanity basin was losing its enamel . Apartment looked a bit tired . Breakfast was slow and on our last morning we could not get a table, so went out for breakfast. If I had known that it was going to be slow and busy, I wouldn’t have paid for breakfast in my booking.

« The overall experience was more than I expected. »

The experience was good despite the elevators failing twice in 4 days. In a building such as this it is highly unacceptable. We were staying on the 19th floor and the stairs were not an option.

Very enjoyable. Room was tidy and well kept. Rooms are starting to show their age a little. Only minor negatives were the fire evacuation due to a malfunction and the wait for a lift when only 1 lift was in action during Friday / weekend at times.

Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. They made us feel comfortable. They acknowledged & recognised us when in the hotel, which made us feel extremely welcome. Intimate feel in the bar &restaurant which was great in such a large complex. Was a haven when returning after a day out in a busy city.

Very small room, noisy, Next door kept us awake till 4am. The lift broke down, not problem but the smell was hideous spreading out into the hall. When we made comment we were told it wasnt a problem and would soon be gone. Im allergic and struggle with paint type fumes so felt ill. the restaurant was another dissapointment, staff couldnt explain the menu indeed could pronounce the name of the restaurant even. Food was of poor standard and i actually sent back my main which i have never done ever before. At the end of the meal we asked for a diguestive as per the menu and was asked oh you want coffee, no pointed to the menu and the waitress didnt have a clue what to offer. A terrible end to an amazing bday trip.

The Quay West Suites are conveniently located a small walk away from Circular Quay. The staff were without exception friendly, efficient and diligent. The rooms themselves were quiet and designed to capture most of the day's sun. I love the fact this is a small hotel in a big city!

« Best location for a Sydney visit »

The valet parking was an absolute dream, so make sure you go to the FRONT door and not the parking garage in the back. The view from the room was amazing and you could actually sit in the hot tub on level 22 and see the Harbour Bridge. The "gym" is tiny and not very well equipped, and the Le actors are soooo slow. At one stage, only one was working... that's a lot of waiting over 22 floors.
