THE STAY WAS VERY NICE HOWEVER THE SINK IN MY BATHROOM WAS DAMAGED - THE ENAMEL WAS PEALING IN MULTIPLE PLACES - I INFORMED THE FRONT DESK TWICE TO ENSURE MANAGEMENT WAS AWARE - USING THE SINK IN THAT CONDITION POSED POSSIBLE FURTHER MORE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE VANITY. - IT DIDN'T OTHERWISE SIGNIFICANTLY BOTHER ME AND I ENJOYED THE APARTMENT.

« Good location, spacious room and clean hotel. »

Our stay is pleasant. Online check in was very convenient and quick. Housekeeping is always on time and very tidy. We are pleased with the cleanliness. On our 2nd day, the staff who is in charge of checking the mini bar came in our room without knocking. We were very surprised that checking an expire bag of chip is more important than knocking on the door. Besides this incident, we enjoy our stay overall.

« Nothing short of amazing! »

From the minute I stepped foot in the lobby, all staff were extremely attentative, professional and friendly. We stayed there for a weekend away celebrating my daughters 18th birthday and your staff and hotel made it a truly memorable occassion. The upgrade to the penthouse suite did add to that, but all your staff were amazing as well.

« Pleasant stay but expected more »

We had a one bedroom apartment with 3 adults and 2 young children. There was plenty of space which was great. The room was ready on arrival and a late checkout was provided although somewhat reluctantly (despite being Accor plus members). Breakfast was delicious although buffet items not well attended (no knife for cheese platter, dripping water jug). Room service was very slow (took over an hour to arrive which gave us 10 minutes to eat before the in room massage was due to start). We had to call twice to follow up. We specifically requested crispy skin on duck but it arrived over cooked with soft skin and a little cold like it was the first item finished being prepared. We were offered a glass of sparkling wine as an apology which we appreciated but it was still disappointing. The pool was magnificent although it would have been good if sufficient pool towels for our registered room guests were provided in room. It would also have been handy to have somewhere to hang clothes and towels in the pool area. We were disappointed on the third day to find that by 2pm when returning to the room after being out since 9am with the refresh the room sign on display the whole time that the room had not been made up. Due to our 1 year old needing a nap we put the do not disturb sign on for two hours and then called at 4pm to have the room done. It took three phone calls and almost 2 hours later before the room was refreshed (and middle of dinner time for the kids so we just had bare minimum done). In future it would be good to check families with children about when the best time might be to fix the room to take into account nap times.

« Very enjoyable stay »

Great location in the Rocks and close to Circular Quay for the ferries. Super views. The apartment was cleaned every day and the reception staff were always very helpful. However wi-fi was not free. I had to join a club and even then could only have access for three devices. We had a 2 bedroom apartment four four adults and it was not easy to switch from a mobile phone. In 2017 free wi fi access for all guests should be a minimum. I thought the fact it was not was petty and the only negative in what was a very enjoyable stay.

Quay West suites are very comfortable, in a convenient location, and have everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay in Sydney. I had a lovely suite with a view of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was a total delight.all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

« Great room in a perfect location »

The view from out room of the Opera House, harbor and bridge was magnificent. The suite was spacious and comfortable. It was so nice it was better to get take away and eat in with the view then go out. Very few restaurants could beat the ambiance of the room! Kitchen and dinning room table made it very comfortable to do this. Bed was comfy so overall great experience. Easy walk to the major sights and ferry and train.

« Increasingly Disappointing »

I've been staying at the Quay West for about ten years for business and have found the service and standard overall is really going downhill. I had a lot of difficulty booking over the phone earlier this year on several occasions and found the phone rarely answered. The staff during the visit seem friendly enough but many of them uneducated and no one seems to do enough to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Breakfast was disappointing. I ordered poached eggs with my avocado on toast and the meal came without the eggs. The young girl serving said she didn't know how to make coffee which caused a delay waiting for another staff member. Room service was expensive and just ok (though the scotch fillet was very good). My room wasn't perfectly clean with black hair and red wine stains/ drips in the bath tub. I spoke to several people about trying to get the smart tv to work and nobody seemed to know. When I first asked tne man at reception even told me "look I've really got no idea". After speaking to two other people I eventually had a call to say the functions were disabled - which I found disappointing considering there were no in room movies available (which seems unusual for a five star hotel). Location is very good however. And the concierge is always very friendly (though my last three visits he hasn't met me at my car like previously and I've had to bring in my own luggage - unlike other hotels I've stayed at in Sydney). Overall, based especially on my last three visits, I feel the experience is just ok. More of a 4 star experience than a 5. I will likely try and book elsewhere next time around.

We had an amazing stay in our two-bed apartment with harbour view. The accommodation was perfect and the room was incredibly well equipped. The central location was perfect for sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

« What a great stay.. »

What superb views from our room overlooking the Opera House and Bridge. We arrived early from our overnight flight and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. Reception and Concierge were really helpful, booked us a day trip trip to the Blue Mountains and Taxi to the Airport. Walking distance to the quay's and most places. Room was clean and had plenty of amenities. We went in one of the two pools while here (one being refurbished). The only problem we had was a bit of a wait for some food one evening from room service.

The enamel in sink majorly cracked and cut my daughters finger, but it was late at night and my other daughter was sleeping so i just made the bathroom off limits. The doona had no cover which was surprising as it had multiple yellow stains that i surely would have tried to cover if i was going to make guests use it. Breakfast was to be included in our stay. When we went for breakfast i asked about the eggs available. The waitress told me our breakfast was just the buffet and there was a solitary hard boiled egg the four of us could share :) 20 minutes after sitting down we were advised we could in fact order anything. We did order however our children werent keen on allowing us to enjoy our meal as we had already been there for 40 minutes when it arrived. We were going to luna park afterwards which they were protesting would be more fun than watching us eat our eggs :( So far not so good but unfortunately it gets worse. Back home today we check our account before heading out to get my daughters arm xrayed. A couple of hundred in the account so i take the car to work and my husband sets off to catch public transport to dr than xray. When trying to top up his opal card to get from dr to xray he is declined. He goes online to find Quay west suites has a pending transaction holding $424 on the 6/8 of my money and debit for $328.21. This leaves my husbands account in the negative. He rang and spoke with John from Quay West who should be on the wall of shame this week for his lack of empathy and unwillingness even offer an apology. Even thpugh David explained the scenario he had been put in John response of it will be done quick in 24hrs showed he hadnt listened to what David was saying. My husband than had to walk with my 3yr old to get the xray done and i had to leave work early to pick them up.

We had a lovely time staying with Quay West until we got the account by email. I was given a figure when checking out only to be charged an extra $100 plus for no apparent reason, totally unforgivable after the staff who we had direct contact with were well up to their task & more at times.

« Poor support for loyal Accor members »

Am a Gold member. Stayed 5 nights. The only welcome gift was a bottle of water, an apple and a piece of cake. I've been staying at this hotel for several years and the welcome benefits for being a loyal member of the chain has gone downhill. No room upgrade was offered (had to ask) but advised that no room was available (same reason as always). Only 2 drink vouchers were provided for 5 nights of stay. Room A/C had no adjustments (was too cold for my liking) and the bathroom had the odour of a leaking sewer main. The lifts to Harrington Street were also "being upgraded" for the majority of my stay. No express checkout paperwork was provided. Based on this visit compared to all the other times I've stayed at this hotel, I'd rate this very poorly.
