My husband and I stayed together with our daughter and granddaughter from the US for 1 night. It was really good to have a separate bedroom and also a bedsofa. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

« WE loved staying there it was the perfect room and the perfect location for us. »

Our overall experience from check in to concierge was brilliant, the room was perfect for my daughter and myself. The only fault I have is with Breakfast. As I am an accor member I booked through Accor and on the phone was told that i could you my Accor card for half price breakfast. Our first morning arriving at breakfast I showed my card and was rudely told this hotel doesn't accept accor cards. Well I didn't make a fuss so we ordered just poached eggs on toast for 2 and 1 cup of tea. Well 25 minutes later I asked how our breakfast was going and was told "sorry we are busy" well that is not my problem but yours and I only ordered eggs. I was not impressed. About 5 minutes later we got out eggs and cup of tea. I was also disappointed that there was no tea station so I had to pay for a cup of tea. Next day for breakfast was much quicker. So this is my only complaint re the hotel. Everything else was what you would expect service way from a hotel. Thanks

We had a fantastic stay in the penthouse (2903). A great room, air conditioning in the second bedroom was not warming but other than that a great room. Breakfast was good and staff did their very best to make you feel welcome.

« Very disappointed with our room »

Paid $100 extra for a harbour view room which was located on the 9th floor which was one level above the minimum level. As we were staying there for the vivid experience we thought we would be able to see the vivid experience at Lunar Park as well as the Sydney Hatbour but not at that level. Breakfast was also very disappointing.

As always, all of the staff we encountered made us feel looked after. What I do like is that, unlike many commercial establishments, the staff related to us as human beings, sometimes with very good senses of humour, as opposed to being the hyper-efficient artificial happy-bots whom corporations seem to think are what customers want to interact with, performing their tasks satisfactorily but without much if anything in the way of genuine human warmth. This was a strong factor in our decision to return to Quay West the last several times, and will be so again. We also appreciated being in '07' room this time, looking directly across to my childhood suburbs, Balmain and Rozelle. It's great to be able to come back to Sydney and have this view from my apartment window. We normally seem to be allocated an '08' when booking, which isn't quite as special, so this was a nice surprise this time around (I don't care about seeing the Opera House etc, being from Sydney), so the 07 room is definitely my preference.

We have requested a harbour view and that was kindly put in place and that was our highlight of our stay. The hotel room itself was a bit old and dated but didn’t bother us. The lady at reception who served us needs to be more lively. The only experience was very disappointing for us was breakfast all in all. Very small area, not enough seating Dark and dingy Staff needs to be more organised Food was awful

« I have stayed quite a few times and this stay was not as satisfactory as usual. »

I always request a quiet room on a high level away from elevators when I book. This time the reservations team saw fit to ignore this request and allocated me a suite that was not on a particularly high level (level 7), overlooked the Cahill Expressway and shared a wall with the elevators. I could hear every elevator going up and down the building - and they all sounded as if they needed a good service. The reception team managed to find me a quiet room on level 14, for which I was most grateful, but it meant me taking a downgrade (king deluxe city view instead of harbour view).

« Great stay in a clean apartment in a great area »

We loved our 3 days in Sydney staying in Quay West Suites. The apartment was clean (my wife is quite pedantic in this regard so I was surprised that other reviews said otherwise). The apartment was a good size for our family of 4 and the hotel is so convenient to Circular Quay (we walked there with luggage and a 6 & 2 year old) from the train station. The Hotel is extremely convenient to the ferries and the swimming pool/sauna area is spectacular with views over the Harbour Bridge and Opera house. The gym is small but functional. The staff here are so friendly - reception, concierge and cleaning staff were all so polite and friendly. They even provided activity packs for the kids which my 6 year old daughter loved. Cold filtered water in the lobby and gym areas. Some great cafes nearby for breakfast (we loved Motown for breakfast). We will definitely stay here again on the next trip to Sydney.

Excellent room , everything we needed...disappointed we could not get a harbour view room...I feel city view not the best description as all you can see is tall buildings. This is the most sensational place to stay. View is right in the middle of the Sydney Harbour and Opera House. One take 3 minutes to walk to Circular Quay. If you only do it once - Do it. They have some great little packages available too. We even had a $1 full breakfast each day which I could not fault. We stayed from 12.6.2018 until 15.6.2018 for the Vivid light festival and have done so for the past 6 years. We don't stay anywhere else.
