First time staying and I will be back. Excellent restaurant and small gym that did the trick. Helpful staff who were very professional. Location excellent able to walk to business meetings and social gatherings.

« Family weekend in Sydney »

We (me, hubby and 9 yr old son) went to Sydney for the weekend. This location is great for all the sights around the city. Pros - GREAT FOOD - we were able to get a great internet promotion for $1 breakfast (kids eat free) and it was wonderful food! We ordered room service for dinner one night and it was very tasty as well (kids spaghetti, grilled chicken, and a salad). The bed was very comfortable and the pull out couch was perfect for our son. We stayed in the queen suite and it was more than enough room for all of us. I like the convenience of a kitchen and a dining table so we prefer suites. Air conditioning was cold so we slept really well at night. The indoor pool is great and the view out by the patio of the pool is AMAZING. Staff is friendly and helpful Cons - Parking is very expensive so don't rent a car if you don't need one. We went to the blue mountains but we would think twice about renting for the whole weekend vs the one day.

Great location with easy access to to the harbour and the cbd. Large, comfortable one bedroom apartment. Stunning views of the bridge and the opera house. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again

Very spacious apartment with fantastic views, great location, wonderful pool and spa area. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of wine glasses and other crockery etc for dinner guests. Only disappointment was the mouldy grout in main en-suite shower, but a good scrub and some bleach would fix this. Also my son said the sofa bed was not very comfortable in the library. But these did not stop us from thoroughly enjoying our two night stay.

We chose Quay West apartments because the apartments have balconies unlike many of the other upmarket hotels in The Rocks area. It is such a delight to sit on the balcony and overlook the breathtaking sight of Sydney Harbor, the bridge and Opera House. Must be the best view in Australia! The apartment was also generously sized, well appointed and very comfortable. Our only complaint was that one of our meals in the restaurant wasn't up to scratch - very dry chicken, with a pile of chips and no vegetables at all. We were not charged for this after complaining though.

The reception staff were amazing the young lady who checked us in was friendly and very helpful with local information. Loved the $1 breakfast for summer very much appreciated and what a wonderful promotion. The breakfast staff were attentive and the breakfast was delicious. We loved staying at quay west. What a great experience. It’s spacious, has all the amenities one could need. It was so nice to have a kitchenette, and laundry machine/dryer available in our unit. The pool was awesome and the perfect temperature. The location of it was awesome, and the staff that worked there were helpful and friendly. The only thing that could be better would be the interior was a bit dated. Besides that everything about our stay was perfect. We loved quay west suites.

We were made to feel very welcome right from our check in. Our room was ready for us although we were a little early and the view of the harbour and harbour bridge from our room was beautiful. When we returned home in the evening we were delighted to see a plate of sweets waiting for us in our room - a lovely gesture. Our only recommendation for improvement is around the use of our Accor card for dining. This did not appear to be understood by all restaurant staff making communication rather embarrassing. Perhaps the benefit of the Accor card could be advertised at the entry of the restaurant.

Cayla at reception was slow and difficult. Made check in stressful as she couldn’t fin my details, even though I have been a platinum Accor member for long time. A more experience staff was available next to her and kept saying “all fine, just process, ...” she still kept asking the same questions and being abrupt. Did not ask for assistance with luggage or any sort of warmth with check in. Kept apologising with no real genuine behaviour. No smile which was adding awkwardness to the interaction. 14mn process even though I’ve checked in online. As usual room was great, clean and good temperature on arrival.

We had a great time, the only draw back was we weren’t advised when checking in if there was an easier way to get to Harrington instead of pushing a pram up the side street, we only found out on the last day about the Harrington lift.

« Clean and Fully Equipped »

My wife and I was down in Sydney on a short trip to celebrate our 10 years anniversary. Due to cyclone Oma, however part of the trip was met with lots of rain while out on the streets. Apart from the clean room and comfy bed, we were so glad that our hotel room comes fully equipped with washing machine and dryer to help wash and dry our clothes. Overall a very pleasant experience. If plain water bottle is free, it would have been perfect! :p

Before unpacking we had to wash down the closet which had not been cleaned for months. The white towels we used were dark gray with filth and grime when we were done. The safe did not work. It tokk 24 hours before the matter was attended to. The cupboards are falling apart. The fridge did not cool properly. No bread knife and no cork screw in your “full kitchen”. You cut the water for three hours one day. We had been warned so I guess that was OK even though it is annoying. But to ad insult to injury you also cut the water the next day. This time without warning of any kind. There is not much 5* in an unflushed toilet.
