The hotel was comfortable enough. Service was good. I thought the bar was a bit ordinary and lacked atmosphere and the pool area was decidedly unappealing. However, the hotel suited my needs for this trip.

The room was great. Spacious and loved the large bath tub. The tv worked when it felt like it, we needed to turn it off and on again at the switch to get the channels working. The bar didn’t open until 4pm which we thought was strange for a 5 star Sydney hotel. There wasn’t a range of different restaurants... only the cafe downstairs which didn’t have a high end feel at all. Although the room service food was great... but being Accor plus I would had preferred to dine downstairs. The recreational area on the roof is very run down and the pool looked green.

The large in-room mirror was held together by electrical tape. I appreciated the arrival gift. The check-out staff member had no personality and was very automated compared to the amazing greeting on arrival.The beds were comfortable. The breakfast table in the restaurant had a 15cm x 15cm missing section on top of the table - i.e. it was missing part of the table top.

On check in it was difficult to access the car park from College Street due to the Peugeot 2008 Wagons that were parked across car park entrance that were transporting tennis players. This led to me damaging a front alloy wheel and tyre on the concrete which I'm now in the process of getting fixed at my own cost. If I had known the problems of accessing the car park, I would have accessed from the side street of College Street and the damage avoided. After a long drive in trying conditions due to weather and traffic from Port Macquarie to Sydney on 3 January 2018 this was the last thing I needed. Apart from this the accomodation, staff and location were fine.

Booked an executive room and enjoyed the benefits it included, especially the evening drinks. The staff from the time we checked in to check out were very helpful. The room was very comfortable and the beds good too. Will be back again when next in Sydney.

Let me start off by saying that I booked this room to celebrate my birthday because it looked like the best choice in Sydney. To suggest that I was disappointed is un understatement and will not be recommending The Pullman to anyone. When I arrived, the room smelled of paint, which resulted in headaches for myself and my partner. The lounge room furniture was missing from the living room area, and the mini fridge was missing half of the contents noted on the accompanying list. I phoned room service who spoke to housekeeping and was told there isn't meant to be a lounge in the room. I asked what we were meant to sit on if we wanted to watch TV. An employee was sent up with a small single chair from another room. He was shocked by the missing furniture and empty fridge. He took photos of these, and the exposed wi-fi modem sitting on the floor. I paid $500 plus parking and breakfast for this? For this inconvenience, I received a small amount taken off my parking fee. That was not nearly enough. I have since found an extra $63 charge on my credit card that I will be investigating and if it is for the half empty fridge, I will be demanding a full refund. On a positive note for the staff, most were friendly and apologetic, and I received a free chocolate cake for my birthday. I'm afraid it just wasn't an appropriate substitute for the experience received.

The customer service from the hotel staff was mostly very good. The hotel windows were very dirty and in need of cleaning. The room and bathroom were reasonably good. There wad a pillow menu but the pillows we wanted were not available. The standard pillows gave my wife neck pain. There was 1 pair which were too hard and too high and anothet pair which were too flat. There were 2 restaurants but only 1 was open for lunch and dinner- the Cafe Thirty6. The menu lacked variety and the food was not particularly tasty. The salmon burger was terrible. Low quality bun, a paltry quantity of salmon and too much salad making it more like a salad sandwich than a burger. Even with my accor plus discount the food wad overpriced. After that girst dinner we decided to eat all the rest of our meals outside the hotel and every single meal we had was better than the cafe thirty6. Perhaps the worst restaraunt we have tried within the accor group. Even the Ibis Budget restaurant was bettet. The rooftop swimming pool was tiny and looked dirty. The gym was also disappointing as it lacked basic equipment such as benches while the weight machines were not in a good state. In particular the leg extension and leg curl equipment was not set up properly so one couldn't properly perform seated leg curls.

Wanted to spend a night away from home with my wife and as a long time Accor member we decided to avail of our complimentary room. The idea was to go a hotel have a walk through the city and then avail ourselves of the use of the 5 star facilities. Upon check in we were advised that breakfast and evening meals was available in the upstairs dining room. We later that afternoon tried to make a reservation at the restaurant but was advised that the only dining options available was in the cafe. Hardly 5 star. We then had to take a taxi to the Sofitel on Wentworth to have the dining experience we envisioned we could have at the Pullman.
