« Not so world class »

Very average experience staying at Novotel Ambassador in Suwon. Aircons did not work for good few first days of my stay. Not many food choices for international guests (mostly korean) and no catering at all for vegetarian guests apart from salad, fruits and plain pizza on the menu which was truly disappointing. The menu does not explain all the ingredients in a dish and hotel just assumes that people coming from other countries would just know what the dish contains which is very ignorant approach. Hotel charged for room service (just making the room) which was bizarre as it is a complementary service provided to all the guests in all the international hotels I've ever stayed in. I shall not recommended this hotel to anyone coming from another country, especially if they are vegan/ vegetarian.

« It was fine but no temperature control in the room »

My biggest complaint is that the room was too hot. There was no way to turn on the air conditioner. The hotel heating system is central controlled and does not allow guests to have control over the room temperature. I had many sleepless nights because the room was too hot. Hotel could only provide me with a noisy fan which didn’t help.

« Enjoyable stay but need change of breakfast variety »

The room provided was very clean, and very well maintained by the daily housekeeping. I am impressed with the standard of service provided. Location was ideal near the bustling street (probably the ONLY bustling shopping street in Suwon). One point to note was the breakfast variety. Overall it was nice, but it feels the same everyday. Probably an addition of a noodle station will be nice. Would recommend/stay there again.

Room setup was satisfactory. However the customer experience can be enhanced by providing free access of the mini bar and snacks for corporate customers. The shower also need to be improve as the hot and cold water was very inconsistent. Hot water does not flow at the same temperature with streams of very hot and then warm water. This need to be addressed.

I was visiting on business from the US, and the hotel made me feel at home. The staff is extremely professional and kind, and the property and guest rooms are top of the line. Although the rooms are close together in the standard rooms, they are very sound-proof with respect to neighboring rooms and guests.

Overall was great. My colleagues and I came from different offices, Hong Kong and Singapore, for the football match of Suwon Samsung Bluewings host against Japan's Kashima Antlers in Asia Championships League. We are the match operating committee. I stayed here for 3 nights at room 528(as I rmb). The room cleaning was great, tidy and neat. The front desk staff helped us a lot on our requests, even like color printing as we needed some photoshooting props. Just one time, somehow maybe my request was not clear enough, I put an envelope at the front desk and ready for my client to pick up. I made a request to create an alert/ phone call to me, whenever my client completed the collection. However, it seems not to be done. This would have been a 10/10 rating if this could be worked out. I will never understand why almost-full shampoo and conditioner bottles and almost unused soap bars are thrown out and replaced by new bottles and bars almost on a daily basis. The checkout process should be smoother: I always pay my bill the evening before departure to avoid running late on the morning of departure. It should be straight-forward to receive a statement with a zero balance.
