« Still waitying for the invoice to declare my visit with my boss. »

My stay was ok. Arrival was good and fast. Checked in online and picked up my roomcard very quick. Because of the online checking in I could dropp my roomcard in a box and the invoice would automatically be send to my emailadres. I am still waiting for it. A call to the hotel is almost impossible. One time I managed to get trought but when they picked up the line was disconnected immidiately. So... Terrible to reach the hotel by phone, and as soon as the payment has been done you are history.

Front desk staff was very nice. I was happy they let me check in early since they had a room available. To my surprise it was a room adapted for wheelchair users so it was very large. The room provided all the basics and bed was comfortable. However, the room was right next to the Ibis sign and was very bright at night even with the curtains drawn. Another thing I wasn’t so happy with, and I highlighted to the front desk, was that the bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite the fact that the fan was running non-stop (I couldn’t figure out how to switch it off- another nuisance). I believe the cleaning lady is using this room for smoking, since she walking into the room at 5pm, without knocking and while I was inside! Even though the room had already been cleaned...

« Well priced and well located for Hamburg city sights »

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the warehouse district and HafenCity. The u-Bahn station is a 5 minute walk and just 2 stops to the Jungfernstieg station in the centre of the shopping district. Public transport in the city is excellent and cheap to use. Hotel room was basis as you'd expect from a budget hotel, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. I would recommend if you want a brand hotel on a budget.

Could not sleep as there was no air con. When complaining to the front desk was told it’s warm in Hamburg in the summer nothing we can do about it. The room was far too warm

All rooms have units that should be able to cool the fresh air system down to 17°C. If this is not working, our staff should call the inhouse technican, suggest a room change if the technican is not available or if those two options are not available at least offer a fan and a change of room on the next day. We are sorry that it seems you were not offered any of these solutions. Please rest assured, that we will take this up with our front desk supervisor and she will in turn retrain our our front office staff. I have enjoyed the location, however, I have never experience this standard of customer service at any Accor hotel. The staff were not available on the first desk and were juggling with different tasks between the back office and the front desk. They were hardly there for customers. Personally I was shocked on my last day as I returned to the hotel reception to get my locker deposit, no one was there so I knocked gently for them to notice, the receptionist came out saying I WAS ON THE PHONE (with a fake smile) I said to her “how am I supposed to know? Your colleague asked me to do so”. there was no sighed or any other way for people to know where is the Receptionist or how you can draw their attention. Another issue, the cleanness of the room was not up what I always expect from IBIS. The bed cover had small spots of blood, one of the towels was very dirty from corners. The wifi was extremely slow 1.5MB

However, they have a live CCTV feed of the front desk to ensure that they help every guest that steps up to the counter. Please always contact the staff with issues of cleanliness. They will take care that everything is cleaned and that the bedding and towels are replaced.
