We had a fine stay. The rooms are basic compared to why I had expected, but it was clean and rather new, so it was alright for a 1 night stay. However the receptionist who was there when we checked in had a very much “why do you bother me attitude”. We arrive 12:45, no welcome or anything, just that we were too early and check in was 3pm. We said that’s fine, but maybe the room was already available. We got the room early, so we were happy about that, but what’s up will all the attitude about it :) we left our stuff in the room and went back down because we had forgot to inform about us parked in the basement. Again we got a very defensive answer like “you didn’t tell me” and we said we were sorry and that’s why we came down. Maybe her English wasn’t that good and that’s why she came across so defensive, I don’t know. The people we talked to in the evening and morning were very helpful.

« Clean but small and cold room »

Hi, the rooms were clean and tidy, but my room was cold. Since it was a short stay, I managed with the electrical heater provided by the reception. The room was also not so big, so that I could not even find place to make my simple exercises at the morning. Of course, there was also no gym facilities. Besides, the way to the hotel was a construction site, that would make it difficult for the disabled guests. I also found it unfair, that 3,90€ is demanded for 1lt water in the room. In most of the hotels, the first water is in the price. In short, the hotel is fine for a short weekend stay, but I would not suggest for longer business stays.

« Night manager was incredibly rude and very unhelpful »

On our first night I went downstairs to ask for boiling water so I could fill up my hotwater bottle. I have chronic migraines and the hot water bottle is the only thing that helps at night. The night manager told me he could not give me boiling water but to use the hot water in the tap. This is obviously not hot enough. I asked again for boiling water and he told me he was not able to provide me with it. So I asked at the bar and a very helpful lady filled up a jug of boiling water and let me pour it into my bottle. On Saturday night I went down to ask for boiling water again and the night manager was there again. I asked for boiling water like the lady had given me. He said he couldn't do that. I explained that she had filled up a jug. He said he did not know where the jug was. He was very condescending and rude. He told me that I was expecting 5 star service for this Ibit hotel was the lowest of the low and 5 star service would not be given. I could not believe his attitude. I was only asking for boiling water which is quite a common request I imagine since there is not a kettle in the room. I was shocked by his behaviour but other than that, we had a nice time.
