Comfortable beds but cold room with heating not working. Very cramped bathroom that was difficult to shower in and not flood floor. Breakfast was good. Overall an ok stay for 1 or 2 nights in a good location.

Arrived at the hotel after doing the check in online . Staff friendly although the booking was made for two single beds and when I got to the room I found a double bed ... had to go back down and change with all the bags and my Mum with a bad leg . Night was good , bed nice and comfortable but the room smell a lot of smoke !!!

Clean and bright room. The check in was very easy. Breakfast can be a bit loud and stressy but the breakfast room supervisor showed us to a table on arrival and got it cleared.

1st night checked in room without hot water and I have to go another room to take shower, tv signal is weak always, WiFi always break and weak, safe box is locked and assistance only comes next day afternoon when I call. Best part is the safe box is not secure to wall, anyone can just carry the safe box away. Door can’t lock from inside, door closure is too tight. Honestly as gold member I rather pay a bit more to stay in Novotel ExCel than these...I reckon this hotel is for backpackers and not suitable for business. I hope it can be improve soon

The room was very dirty, the heating wasn't working, the Wi-Fi wasn't working and the furbishing could not be more basic. I booked a THE QUEEN room and I was given one with separate beds! The breakfast was basic and I had to wait long until they refilled the missing food (such as eggs). The only good point it's his location, just in front of the Excel. I arrived late at night and I was too much tired to change of hotel and go to sleep at a decent place. I have slept in hostels for 50 pounds that were far way better than it, believe me, I travel a lot and I know what I'm talking about. The hotel is under partial renovation works, probably because someone must have realised that as a hotel, it's just a shame! But Accor has probably waited too long to start this renovation and they haven't the least sense of respect for their clients to completely close it. Instead, they keep stealing money from their clients while they try to make it partially better. I could talk about a scam or about a crazy strategy to lose forever business clients that book directly an Accor hotel. In any case, it's probably the worst hotel I have been so far in my over 15 years of career in tourism. I went there for the WTM tourism trade fair and I was charged about 250 pounds for 1 night, and, therefore, expecting a clean room with the heating and wi-fi working, I don't think was too much to ask... And for the poor person that normally answers to all the bad reviews this hotel is getting, a quick message: don't waste your time trying to pretend my opinion will be taken into account. Many bad comments mean your company has no interest in giving a good service to its clients and therefore it doesn't deserve my money. In any case, it's not the first time an Accor hotel gives me a bad stay experience but probably it's the last one since I will watch out from any of their hotels in the future, no matter which Accor brand will be.

The shower was horrible, it wouldn't stay upright so you couldn't actually position it, it also flooded at one point as the water was not draining. A brief period where the water would go periodically from warm to hot on repeat for the duration, so you'd have to keep leaning in and out to shower and not get scolded. Hotel room wasn't ready at the specified time, had to wait almost toward an hour after I was meant to enter. No plug sockets near bed for charging phone, windows did not close properly, proper towels weren't provided, TV was out dated and you had to channel surf to find something to watch. Saw another room on the same floor a friend was staying in and it was an improvement in everyday despite being a twin room over my queen size. Larger TV, better bathroom, usb and plugs beside bed. Disappointing in the difference in quality.

First room was renovated. Room was OK, bath was actually quite nice. But: Bath not working. New room - not renovated. Tiny bath, old and dilapidated. Had to wear shoes in my room as I did not want to walk with socks or barefooted on that carpet - incredible. Rubbish on the corridor all over the place. A Hoover on the floor for two day. Breakfast room with the ambiance of shelter. Positive: My complaint was heard and received 50 GBP refund, which is then still a cost of 300 GBP for 2 nights.

Experienced for the first time in my life being discriminated by staff at the dinner restaurant. I spent two hours at a table assigned to me and the very same person who attended to me kept passing me by helping customers who just got there. I had to go directly to the chefs to place my order, that's when they attended to me.

My experience was pretty poor, for a start the computers were down so none of the key cards worked, this resulted in having to find a member of staff to let me in to my room every time I needed to get in. It also resulted in cards not being accepted so cash was needed to pay for food in the bar. I can accept this might happen on the odd occasion and obviously I was just unlucky it happened during my stay. However, the worst thing about my stay was the noise, it made absolutely no difference to the noise levels in my room whether the window was opened or closed, this clearly shows that the windows are just so poor and poorly fitted that there is absolutely zero sound insulation from the outside. It was impossible to sleep.

really helpful staff who were friendly professional and gave great customer service. they were a credit to the hotel. you need to make sure cleaners can reach the top shower head as it was very scaly. otherwise perfect stay and love the new shower doors so much easier to use.
