Disappointing. Zero customer service, tired hotel and overall “mean” / “cheap” feeling

« Nice hotel despite age »

Very nice hotel, big and comfortable rooms, balconies. Generally, all right and recomendable, but the restaurant to be avoided!

We were contacted by the hotel in advance regarding the children's sleeping arrangements as the bunk bed was not suitable for our youngest child. The room was a suitable size, although the view was somewhat less picturesque than the valley side; however we could still access the balcony area to take advantage of the surrounding scenary. The staff were always accommodating and patient with our children. The mealtimes were well set up and easy to find what we wanted following some confusion on the first day over place settings, and another occasion when we were advised to sit at a table with inappropriate child seating. Generally, pleasant from start to finish. The waiting staff were exceptional.

The staff were fantastic, attentive, polite and welcoming. The bedroom accommodation is ok, the toilet in particular is very poor, dirty and tired.

Generally the hotel was clean, friendly and well positioned. The only fault was that on our last morning, we went to breakfast at 7am when it was supposed to be open and there was no bread or hot food ready. Because we were leaving for the airport we couldn't have a good breakfast before we left.

« My week end stay »

Overall the stay was pleasant enough. I arrived late Friday (21h30) however the kitchen was closed. They did bring a salad and bread for us, but was disappointed no other choice. the location is very good, and the room was large and decent, although showing its age. When we returned from skiing on Saturday 16h30, the room was not cleaned yet. i told front desk and they said it would be done. they never did clean, so later that evening i requested that they at least bring me new bath towels. they said okay, but never brought them. the next day they did not clean the room again! the only other thing of note, was the kitchen is only buffet, albeit a good buffet, but there is no menu to order a separate meal and therefore no room service.

« A really lovely stay, we will return. »

We spent a week here for half term and we so pleased that we did. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were all friendly and professional . We reserved a family room for 2+2 and had plenty of room . The configuration of the room is such that children were in two (good quality) bunks in the entrance opposite the bathroom. We requested a mountain view room and were treated to a wonderful daily panorama looking down the valley and watching the sunset. In addition we had a small balcony just big enough for the two (comfy) deck chairs that were supplied - a great idea. The housekeeping team were completely invisible, I never saw a trolley or chambermaid. I spent my career spent 15 in the hotel industry and know that this can be hard to manage. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy upon our return each day, and even the teabags of my choice left for me !! ( I had left a note on the second day!) We stayed on the half board option which gave us great flexibility; we could choose from either the nightly buffet ( different choices daily) or from the a la carte menu for the same price, with only a small supplement for fondue etc. The buffet was very French in sytle but delicious for us, and the A la carte would have been quite limited to non meat and cheese lovers (but this the regional speciality!), and the buffet offers plenty of other options. One night m youngest child asked for the childrens menu which did not include burger and chips , but the staff were happy to provide it all the same . Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also lovely with great choice and a specific member of staff working on a specially set up crepe and pancake area, with a variety of jams and sauces for the pancakes. These were a big hit with my family. For skiers: A really great hotel based 2 minutes walk from the Charmettoger chair lift. There is the bonus of having a ski hire shop on level one of the hotel , it made it so easy , with no need to reserve equipment in advance even during half term. There is also space to store equipment at the end of the day, along with boot warmers which was super useful. with a mountain facing view ( request this !) We would like to return to the hotel as it is well run hotel and there is much to offer in the area. We will definitely return to ski next year .

A really great stay which exceeded our expectations. Thank you! We booked for a week during February half term and drove to the hotel . The underground parking was available which was well worth the daily fee. The hotel was well maintained and the staff friendly and efficient, epeally th restaurant staff. Our room (mountain view) had a small balcony which looked down the valley and had amazing views. There were two deckchairs in the room which were great to use either inside or out as they were great for lounging upon. The bedroom comprised of 2 bunks for the children and a v. large double . The room was very clean by the chambermaid who left me Earl Grey tea each day as I had requested ( nice detail) The restaurant staff were very helpful and the manager was always on duty and she took the time to remember that we were British and speak to us in English The food was plentiful and traditional on the buffet , and the menu although limited was served in large portions . There is quite a lot of meat and cheese on it though! The ski shop downstairs was a great service. We would come to the hotel and will maybe do so again this summer to explore Thank-you Mercure Les Arcs

We had a great stay in this nice hotel. Very friendly personnel. Great restaurant, with good service. A few remarks: - in my reservation, I had an included option of late check-out (until 4 pm), if the room was available. This option was not visible for the staff at reception, and they said this option would never be possible in this hotel because of unavailability of the room. If you know it can't work, then don't offer it to you clients. - As Le Club Accor Silver Member, I got a free welcome drink, but only for me and not for my roommates. In other Accor hotels, they offer a free drink for everyone staying in the room. The hotel said this is standard policy. - The restaurant has very good and friendly junior staff. However, the chief waiter was extremely nervous (literally running around in the restaurant) --> this makes an uncomfortable atmosphere and makes clients nervous as well. - The ski locker room is not as good as in other Mercure hotels. There is no private locker per room. Skishoes must be left in a public space, which does not feel very safe. - The air in the rooms is not humid enough. There are no airconditioning or ventilation options.

Excellent staff both reception and restaurant. Spacious room with excellent storage but thin walls resulting in a lot of noise being transmitted from surrounding rooms. Breakfast buffet plentiful and varied. Dinner buffet very poor quality and expensive.

The hotel is not to the standard of a 4*, it's dated and the room we had was old. The room also had poor sound insulation, to the extent that the ski polish machine was very noisy in our room (220). The staff were friendly and the bar area nice but at 300eur a night it does. It represent good value.

First off, we got upgraded to a better room (suite) which is great. The staff was very likeable and available to any of our requests. Even if we didn't stay long, staff members took the time to know us and ask about our day. We didn't use the wifi, so I can't say anything about it. I didn't know I was a Le Club Accord member :) The overall satisfaction is great, and the only reason I wouldn't come back to this hotel is because we went there to ski, and the ski lifts were kinda far to walk to, especially with ski shoes on. Besides that, it was an enjoyable stay.
