This hotel has a 4 star rating with Accor. I stay in 4 star accommodation all the time and this was far from it. Unbelievably disappointing, and I had advanced paid for 3 nights. Paper cups in the rooms for tea and coffee??? whats that about. Carpet was filthy and stained. Linen was old and towels so worn and old. The rooms and hallway had a musty damp smell. On the upside the breakfast was good.

Hello, I thank you for your return on your stay. I am sorry to notice your inconvenience on the room. I apologize. For plastic cups, you will find in all Mercure hotels this is standard. I invite you to ask for normal glasses if you wish. Our bed and bath linen is changed regularly but I would remount the information. Once again, my apologies. Your satisfaction remains our priority. It was a great time. Hotel is situated in a beautiful area, really close to the metro station. Rooms are nice, with a big comfortable bed. Bathroom has a great design. Everyday housekeeping make a good job. Reception was very helpful, always smiling. And hotel has a terrace with a beautiful view - good place to chIll out.

My third stay at the hotel. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are, typically for Paris, slightly small but fine for a stay of a few days. Ours had a really enjoyable balcony - which was ideal for an outdoors breakfast or drink in the evening. The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and my only (minor) complaint would be that the fridges just don't cool the contents. I'd certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

Great location - "boutique" hotel

The location is very practical and quiet. There are however a lot of things around there to see and do and an amazing array of restaurants. The decor is a little dark but I believe this was to achieve a "boutique" affect. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rest of the experience is very much like many mercures i.e. breakfast type and content, etc... Overall a pleasant experience.

Hotel was nice enough but no AC on such a hot day made it intolerable.

We have a general system that takes 48 hours to feel it properly but the weather is very changeable with temperatures quite cool since then, we could not operate it. Friendly staff. No air con (as promised). Small double not large double bed. Awful room, so narrow I could hardly squeeze past the wall and bed. Balcony outside had loose decking and was dangerous. Outside chairs were filthy. Toilet walls were blistered and paint was falling off. Wash basin was at the furthest part of the room from the toilet. Breakfast was basic but the cheese was delicious. The room was in a claustrophobic basement. Easy walk to Gare de Lyon and Bastille

The booking system is crazy as i booked 6 rooms at this hotel and paid for them with credit card. i then received an email to say my company credit card had been refused so rooms were not booked. I called the following day and they reassured me that actually the card payments had gone through. I was nervous for the next three weeks that my party would turn up and there would be no rooms. We did indeed turn up and there were rooms - great news but they said that the card payment had not gone through and i would have to pay again at check out the following morning. Unfortunately they said this in front of five of my party who think i cannot organise anything! It would ahve been much better to be be discreet. Anyway it turns out the following morning that i had actually paid three weeks before and Accord was having trouble with their system. Also one of the seven gurst at Ibis nearby had to be transferred to our Mercure because they had over booked the numbers there.

I booked this 4 stars hotel ! for a weekend break with my wife. First disappointment in my opinion hotel look, it's really poor, old fashion in style and in deterioration of inside décor at best it would probably be granted a 3 stars std. It seriously needs a good renovation ! So for a price you pay for you would expect a true 4 stars hotel. that was not the case. Cleanness of room and bathroom to be questionable, in the bathroom an empty bottle of beer was lying in the floor. Second day upon return to the hotel we found both room and bathroom not made up reason for this personnel scared by a little dog we left in the room. Dog was checked in at check in so they knew about him and hotel accepts pets. So in short a very uncomfortable stay, good point some of the personnel have been of great help to overcome some of the difficulty encountered.

Reception was efficient which was appreciated as I checked in at about 11pm. The room was much better than my first at this hotel, more spacious and the bathroom wasn't claustrophobic.

Arrived at hotel after being robbed at Gare du Nord. Staff could not have been more helpful and enabled us contacting banks and card companies. Excellent representatives for Accor Group. Pullman service from the Mercure!

Very helpful and nice staff, easy to access location and nice room. The only problem was the housekeeper didn’t do a daily work properly. We stayed the hotel for 6 nights. For at least 4 days, the housekeeping only made beds but left the dusty surface as how was it. I guess this is a global matter :)

Bedsheets were very dirty and pre-booked parking was not available

The people on reception were very friendly but the bedsheets had several surface stains, and I do not think they had been replaced from the previous guest. I had also pre-booked parking and had this confirmed but on arrival the only free garage had a broken key and so was not able to be used.
