« great location »

This hotel is in a great location in Shinjuku, close to the subway, Shinjuku station and restaurants. The room was small but adequate for 2 people. The use of the complementary mobile phone with free wi fi for our stay was a great bonus. The only down side was the restaurant, the breakfast was overpriced and the dinner hours advertised were not adhered to. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

The hotel is very clean, has good amenities which made for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is good too, close to several subways and train stations and restaurants.

« Good service but Room was disappointingly Dirty »

Good service we enjoyed however the room was not up to Accord Group standard. We found left over potato chip crumbs when the table was moved. The Biget from the toliet bowl was extremely dirty and not washed at all. Overall disappointment on the cleanness.

Perfect..you have had fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor. Room comfortable ...This is a home away from home. What Accor need to do is to ship the GM of the Ibis Shinjuku (First Class) to NZ and to teach NZ General Managers how to run a Hotel.

This was the second opportunity that I visited Tokyo, in both opportunity I was at the Hotel Ibis. Great location, very good hotel inside of your category. One of the Hotel's employees is Brazilian, she speaks Portuguese and it facilitated the communication a lot. I thank her for the collaboration and cooperation.

Room was small but clean and fine. Bathroom was an odd modular insert that felt like a camper. It seemed like they took one room and made it into two.

« Excellent location but aircon was warm and bathroom too small »

The hotel was located next to Shinjuku station that made it very convenient to get to many places. However, the aircon (which we understand was centrally controlled) was not working well. The hotel staff had to open a window so that the room would not get stuffy but the trade-of was the noise from the street outside could be heard. Also, the bathroom was small, and having a bathtub in a small space made things worse. It would have better if it the hotel used the space for a shower instead of a bathtub.

The location was in great spot close to everything (train station).The room was too small no where to place big luggage. The toilet was pristine. Breakfast was poor.

« The 2nd time around »

I was here 3 years back and I must say that I was pleased with the improvements. The renovated rooms are bright and as usual, clean. Water pressure is strong and the wifi kept me connected all throughout my stay. The hotel also provided free use of a handy phone for internet access outside of the hotel. Being an Accor member, I was upgraded to a bigger room without extra charge. Breakfast was limited but since I’m not a big eater, I didn’t have any problems with that. With a wonderful staff, excellent location and comfortable accommodations, Ibis Shinjuku will definitely be my choice hotel whenever I am in Tokyo.

« Great stay in the heart of Tokyo »

We stayed 3 nights. The room was extremely clean and also spacious for being in the heart of Tokyo. We had a lot of facilities: TV, WiFi, hairdryer, pijiamas, slippers, toiletteries, tea and coffee. Breakfast was great: a self service type with Japanese, Western and European goodies (loved the mini pancakes!), good quality coffee. The breakfast area was never too busy and very quiet. The staff was extremely polite, nice, helpful and spoke very good English. I would definitely recommend Ibis Tokyo Shinjuku.

Good location, clean room but air conditioning facilities is below average. There will only be cold air blowing if we adjust the temp to 20degree and strong wind speed. If not, the room is warm. Maybe it is because of the season but still it should give flexibility. The sound proof walls are poor, tend to be noisy when there is movement next door
