Hotel is fine, location was not the best for us as we didn’t have a car. If you can - eat the curry here. It’s fantastic. Unfortunately though, the breakfast is possibly the saddest I’ve ever seen in a hotel.

Poor shower, cracked sink. Guests loud, smoking drugs at the window, neigbours fighting all night but no phone in the room to call reception. Breakfast was never refilled no pastries left no yogurts no cutlery cups etc. Mini doughnuts were still defrosting...

A little slow at reception as only one receptionist but check in was quick once we got to the receptionist. Modern, clean room with comfortable beds. Shower was excellent. Choices at the included continental breakfast was very good. Only downside was the heavy traffic overnight. Without Air conditioning we had to leave the windows open, so it was quite noisy. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Would ask for a room at the back of the hotel if we were to stay again.

I booked a family room online - the description was - one double bed & one single bed - on arrival I found one double bed & a sofa bed which was not even made up. If I’d known it was going to be a sofa bed I would not have booked. I returned to reception to relay this, I was told it was only ever sofa beds & these are intended for children rather than adults - my response - the description online should be a true representation, ie. it should state ‘sofa bed’ rather than ‘single bed’. With regards to the second “bed” not being made up I was told I’d been checked into the wrong room (room 206). I was taken to the “right” room (room 207) - the second bed was not made up there either. I told the receptionist I would rather have the “right” room anyway as there was an awful musty, damp smell with a hint of sewage in the first room, there was also no ventilation- not pleasant. The receptionist got someone to make the bed up & supplied us with tea while we waited, he was very pleasant & apologetic. On the way to room 107 we noticed many water marks/previous leaks in the corridor ceiling - not a great impression building. Room 107 was nice, a decent size & airy. However, the expel air fan in the bathroom was not working so the bathroom was stuffy & unpleasant, the towel rail in the bathroom was also leaking. The sofa bed was past its best & should be replaced, parts of the frame rise above the edge of the “mattress” - not comfortable & is it really safe if it is “only really intended for children”? Perhaps someone from head office should go & sleep on one of these for one night & then decide if that is good enough for your paying guests. Breakfast the next day was very nice & relaxed as expected. The staff are always pleasant, friendly & efficient. The decor throughout the hotel is very tasteful but there are a few areas in need of some maintenance to bring the hotel back up to the standard it deserves.

Needed a hotel nearby to family for a funeral the next day. Parking was free, convenient and on site. I travelled with my mother who has a disability. I was unable to select a disabled room online when making the reservation but on check in the receptionist was more than happy to change the room to an available one. The hotel was easy to navigate, tidy and clean and staff were friendly.

Competive price, perfect location. Plenty of parking space which can be a problem on the Hagley Road . All staff helpful & friendly. Breakfast basic but adequate. Easy access by car or buses into city centre. Use the public transport system if possible as roadworks & parking is an issue in the city centre.

These rooms are small but that’s all we needed. Everything was clean and functional. The breakfast provided was good for a continental style with plenty of choices. The only thing that slightly soured our stay was the fire alarm going off in the night, which was due to another guest leaving the door open whilst using the shower ( we heard this was the reason they were near us). We were asleep and it frightened the life out of us all but had there been a fire we would have been sure to wake up so that’s good !

It was just an overnight stay but we felt very welcomed by the hotel staff when we checked in. Managed to sleep comfortably although it would be better if there’s an air conditioning in the room. The portable fan helped but I can’t imagine how it would be like when the outside temperature is really hot. The room is very clean and the breakfast was good. Parking was great,too.

It was ok. Room very small and hot - the "air cooling" advertised on the website turned out to be a plug in fan. Toilet seat not properly fitted. Restaurant offered quite limited choice. Bed comfortable and location convenient.

Lovely clean hotel with all the necessary amenities. Room was spacious but hard to reach carrying our pushchair with our baby over steps and narrow doorways to reach our family room. Breakfast was great, with brilliant staff, the environment really clean and pleasant. And excellent value for money. We will definitely return!
