« ‘Get away from it all, but ’all’ is not far away. »

No hesitation in returning. We did have an issue with the first assigned room, this was quickly and professionally dealt with, however a drink voucher shouldn’t be restricted to a beer that was $2 less than the one I wanted without an option to chuck in the extra $2 to make up for it, a little disappointed there: $2 really!!! Put a price limit on a drink voucher if required and allow the option to contribute where required. I did enquire with the Day Spa (more than once) well before arriving to surprise my girlfriend as an added treat - online and by phone but no return call and yes they were open so this was the only major negative I can mention.Dinner and breaky in the restaurant were excellent, service was slightly below that. (Comments from a qualified chef)PS: clean your bathroom ceilings.

Renee at Reception was fantastic at checkin, Steve and the team in the restaurant were fantastic in accommodating special dietary requirements Friday night. Food was fresh and yum. We found the room (204) a little tired, bed was soft and low giving bad night sleep, lounge was torn and flakey, marks on wall around bed head, bathroom door water damaged and swollen, soap holder hanging from wall. Didn't complain at time due to busyness of hotel. Gardens overgrown, full of weeds, adult pool full of leaf debris. Breakfast Saturday was good, staff attentive, tables kept clear, food reasonable (potato gems stale) and staff accommodating of needs. Sunday breakfast was different story, tables not kept clear, plates etc built up, gems stale again, eggs had film formed over top, bacon oily but dry.

Room was dirty/heavily solid carpets Main bed & sofa mttress is faulty. really uncomfortable. can feel the underneath in your back & uneven. really aged. Balcony no no under cover/umbrella. no over from sunshine or rain. broken chair on balcony. Breakfast was let down. Poor variety & quality witnessed staff tell off eldery couple for sitting down on tables with "cloth" instead of table without. was not nice to be allowed to only sit at tables that had no table cloth or cutlery scrambled eggs were going greenish colour. ordered fried eggs & it was cooked well as i'd asked. hasbrowns were stale - staff did replace 15 mins after i asked. Only saving grace was reception as I checked out next day; instead of 3 night stay. Regund has been processed

« Nice facilities and room, but noisy neighbours! »

Staff, food and accommodation all excellent, however my stay (for work) was marred by loud music and voices etc. from nearby room waking me at 12.30 am until around 2am. No 24hr reception available so was not sure how to contact hotel management to address this problem in the middle of the night.

« The basic stuff wrong.. »

Hi guys, I have resisted putting this up on Trip Advisor as I sometimes think constructive feedback should be given straight to the party in question rather than blurting it all out on the internet. The room: We were upgraded to a balcony room because of my status which was very much appreciated. However the room just wasn't clean to a level I would expect in a Mecure hotel. There is mould in the bathroom behind the breather in the bath. One of the blankets in the cupboard had what looked to be lipstick and some other stain on it. People: No real problems here, everyone was helpful and friendly. The only piece of feedback I would offer is when we asked for 2 more wine glasses we were given two dirty ones and asked to wash them up in 'some hot water' before using them. We also had to ask for some dish washing liquid as there wasn't any in the room. F&B: My partners entre (chicken tenders) was delivered half cooked, it was only after she got to the middle was it evident just how uncooked it was. She was offered a replacement, but as you can imagine her appetite was somewhat lowered from that point onwards. We both ordered the steak as the main and what was immediately evident was that they were ready some time ago (when they expected us to finish the entre) and were simply kept warm whilst a second entre was cooked. Consequently the steak was warm, well overcooked and tough. The broccolini was basically cold... Just purely from a customer service POV, it would have been nice to maybe offer a complementary drink for the entre mishap but nothing was offered. I couldn't tell if the staff were embarrassed or just not engaged, but it was pretty ordinary. When we left to pay the bill we were asked how everything was and we told them that we were not happy at all. The response was, 'oh very sorry about that, do you require a tax invoice'. Day Spa: This was great, 10/10! Check out: The process was very quick and efficient, although I was not asked how my stay was. Not a biggy but an easy one to offer up. Sorry guys, but we wont be back. I travel over 230 days a year so stay in allot of hotels all over the world. It just wasn't good enough. Thanks Jason O..

Very ordinary experience. Found your "zip king" mattress uncomfortable to sleep on. Could not roll to the middle of the bed and mattress not firm enough. Breakfast very ordinary. Seriously not worth the $30/person you want to charge. We only paid $22 so it made it passable. Room had no pleasing aspects, very bland, very boring, no personality. Crying out for some colour and art work that makes it pleasing to look at. Room was clean, bathroom ok. We had a problem with the people staying in the next room. They stayed up talking, laughing etc till about 4am. It was very hard to sleep and their conversation woke us up a number of times during the night. Unfortunately, because there was no one manning the reception, there was no one to call and complain about the level of noise emitting from the next room. I hope this is enough feedback.

We attended a wedding and the hotel were very accommodating I booked through wotif - but at time of booking I rang hotel and they could not match the cheaper prices difference was over $100 per room and we had 3 rooms. On checkin this was a mix up as our booking could not be found. The lady was terrific and fixed the problem quickly Was a great stay

A great little hotel for the quick getaway we had planned. It was an easy and efficient hotel that helped keep things stress free as we sought to relax for a few nights. The Mecure is a great individual apartment style accomodation with spacious rooms, solid kitchen services (in room) and a nice bathroom. The location isn't amazing, but you're 2 minutes drive from the beach, so who can complain really. Wifi is a little temperamental-but that's just a chance to unplug and relax more.

We spent a week at the Resort and took advantage of some of the facilities on offer. Breakfast each day was well presented and good value. Had only 1 evening meal, only fair, so we did not come again as menu did not suit us. Enjoyed the pool on 1 occasion even though the weather was not warm. Resort location was handy for travel around the area. Room was comfortable and large.

All in all the hotel met expectations although the cutlery, glasses and plates were all dirty which was a bit offputting. We ordered dinner and had to make sure we pre-washed everything before using. The wine glasses were the only things that were clean.

The room was spacious for the 3 of us but the bed frames were dusty as if it wasn't cleaned in days. Swimming pool was full of leaves which didnt make us want to use it. Breakfast was good .
