We were there for a wedding, garden setting lovely, dinner & reception fine. But our room!!!! If we wernt so busy with wedding prep. etc would have asked for a change of room not just put in a complaint at checkout. Absolutely discusting, wet squishy carpet, the mould stench gross. It became embarassing when people who visited asked "are you alright?" Had so been looking forward to staying at the Mecure, and the price! Very overated & overpriced. Not again...

Disappointed that the reception was closed on arrival and then had to organise the key. Unfortunately the information about accessing the key had been sent to my mobile phone which was not working. Unable to access free to air television channels that night, disappointing because I was watching some shows on these channels. Advised reception the next day and was moved to another room - appreciated this although annoyed that we had to move rooms. On the afternoon of our last day, a group of young people arrived. They were noisy and running around the premises. They knocked on our room door and we received phone calls during the night which was very annoying. With reception being closed at 6.00pm, felt that we had no options in complaining about their behaviour during the evening and night. Advised reception the next day about this. I was pleased we weren't staying another night as it would no doubt be quite noisy and annoying.

The Stay was great. The rooms were big, although not as clean as i would have liked. The kettle didnt work (although was replaced during our stay) and the microwave seemed to be on it's last legs. The food at the restaurant was amazing.

Had a great stay again in Gerringong. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The renovated rooms are very nice and comfortable and the adult only pool is a terriffic idea.

My wife & I spent two nights at the Mercure Gerringong to explore the area. The hotel is well located and well appointed. My only disappointment was that at breakfast there is a large array of both tea and coffee, if you wanted a hot chocolate you have to order it and pay extra. Dinner was of the usual high standard as was the staff.

« Very basic lack of maintanence. »

Not very happy with the staff in the restaurant, the ladies in there looked like they did not want to be at work the floor in the breakfast area had not been swept so therefore not mopped from the previous day as there were corn flakes and the ends of sugar packets still on the floor. We were the first in there on Sunday morning. The gutters all need replacing,The laundry was out of order, The kids play ground was out of order. We were part of a huge group booking for a wedding and the price we were charged that was supposed to be discounted was way out of proportion.

When I tried to see if we could check in earlier than 2pm, I was basically told to pay for another night to guarentee it. Disappointing as we were staying here with rooms allocated for our friends wedding, which started at 3pm.. yet we couldn't check in until 2pm. I would have thought they would have allowed for an earlier than normal checkin, so wedding guests could check in, unpack and get ready. Check in and out was lovely (Reneigh was lovely). The buffet breakfast was average - the scrambled eggs looked green and cluggy. The room was clean, the dishwasher broken, but left dishes in sink as instructed.

« Relaxing stay in a very well appointed hotel »

We had a short break of 2 nights stay. The facilities and rooms are very good and the hotel is in a lovely area for exploring the many nearby attractions and beaches. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast which was good, except that we find using a coffee pod machine makes a very ordinary cup of coffee and the water is not hot enough for making tea. The staff are helpful and obliging.

The hotel contacted me prior to arrival and advised that i would need to have $50 for a holding deposit on arrival and it must on a card. This was never explained to me when i called to book the room. This caused distrubrition as i only had cash on me. Then then air con didnt work i had to keep getting up every half hour to turn it on. Because it was after 11pm when we returned from the wedding we were attending I am unable to contact the reception desk. In the end it was so hot we had to sleep with the door open to get some air in the room. We paid $270 for this room and had nothing but dramas.

« Perfect location and first class service. »

A great stay, we are accor members and very much appreciated the upgrade to a balcony room that overlooked the swimming pool. The room was renovated and immaculate. Good variety for the buffet breakfast the following morning. We will be coming back soon.
