Given that the big Mercure opposite has closed this hotel is the nearest Mercure to the Gare du Nord. It was perfectly acceptable although under staffed. The breakfast was OK but I did not feel to use it on the 2 & 3 mornings of my stay.

It’s Uncomfortable to sleep with the room getting that hot. You should be able to swipe into the front door late at night, had to wait outside for staff to come back to the desk. Hotel staff were all really friendly and helpful. Room was great apart from the air con.

Aircon hardly works, The location isn’t the best, but it’s easy to get around with the metro being right by. Had to wait outside when coming back at night, hotel staff have to be at the desk to let you back in. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful.

It was a great stay, staff were brilliant the location was excellent for Gare du Nord and the tour buses. Room was modern, clean and well equipped whilst offering good value for money.

Even though the airco was not working the first day, the stay was overall positive thanks to the good staff, and the refreshed infrastructure. The only negative point is the absence of a sport/gym room .

Small room; clean, but the air-conditioning was not functional - the thermostat would not accept a lower temperature than the ambient 26°C. So a warm and uncomfortable night. The shower was modern, but madly designed. The door opens inwards, requiring the guest to squeeze into the corner of the shower to make room for the door to close. Anyone larger would not have been able to get in. Breakfast good.

My stay at Mercure Gare Du Nord was a very disappointing experience in many ways. My stay at the hotel was for business purpose and caused me a lot of stress and discomfort for my whole trip: -To begin with, the air-condition in my room was broken and was stuck at 27 °C. I was complaining and raising the problem to the reception every morning and the issue was not solved until the forth day. I could not sleep the first 3 nights due to the horrible heat in the room. -The second point was related to the wake up call, I have requested from the reception a wake up call at 7:30 am. No one called the next morning and I was late for my meeting! - The third point was related to arriving at 1:00 am with my colleagues and no one was at the reception to open the door. We had to ring and wait outside for 10 minutes before the receptionist got back and opened the door - The fourth point is related to 2 services I have requested from the reception and both were not available. I needed only 2 extra hangers for my room and this could not be suppliers by the hotel. I also needed advil or panadol or any pain killer for my headache and this was also not available. I could not buy any medicine from the pharmacies (it was a Sunday and all pharmacies were closed). No headache medicine could be offered from the reception. My overall stay at Mercure was a dissatisfactoy and led to a bad experience for my work seminar in Paris. I will not be staying at the Mercure hotel for my next trip in Paris.

Upon check in the gentleman on reception was so disinterested and rude. He gave me no information about my check in. Nothing about meals available or that i had breakfast included in my stay. I asked the young lady on reception in the morning, where i would be able to get a coffee and breakfast and she quickly looked up my booking and advised that my breakfast was included and showed my where to go. Your rooms are average and not that clean and the maintenance is below standard - plug in the sink didn't work and the toilet seat was broken. I stayed here as i am an Accor member - would i stay again - absolutely not.

What was supposed to be a 3 night stay turned into only 1 night, as we felt very unsafe in the area, the room was far smaller than shown online and the hotel itself was subpar quality for Mercure. When seeking the help of the reception staff to book another Mercure in a safer area, the staff member was completely unhelpful and rude. Would not recommend staying at this hotel - not pleasant at all.

The very small bathroom, has been designed so that the only way to use the shower unless you are super thin, as if you open the door to the shower inwards there is virtually no space to enter the shower. The only way is to open the shower door outwards, and to achieve this you need to open the shower closet door out into the small room. This I believe is a design fault

I left the hotel for a dinner shortly after checking in and when I returned very late at nigh, I could not open the room. The night staff were trying to reload the key, then with a master key, reset the log, this took almost an hour. Then they said only option was to call somebody to drill of the lock but the technician lived on the other side of Paris and could come only in the morning so gave me another room but I had all my staff locked in the room. I had to catch an early train, but luckily they managed to open the room in the morning so I could at least change clothes, but I did not have much chance to sleep. The staff was friendly but clearly helpless - there should be some procedure to open the door manually if the electronic lock fails- what if there was a fire or other emergency. I wanted at least to get some decent breakfast before going, but at 6:45 there were only some dried out scrambled eggs, no raw eggs, no water for tea and no staff to be seen. After few minutes somebody came to check room numbers and then slowly started refilling it but I already had to go.

Our engineer staff checks the batery door every month but it can happen that the batery runs off before the end of. We really apologise for the inconvenience of that night and we are glad that our front desk managed the situation to get it better they could for. About the breakfast it starts at 6.30 am but as our bakery is cooked on the morning, it could be that the lady took a couple of minute to keep it once ready, while for all hot drinks there is a big grey machine into the breakfast room that makes all kind of hot drinks (cappuccino, hot chocolate, hot water, etc). We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and I will charge you personnally on your Accor Card Member 2000 points for the trouble situation. All fine in one sense but the bathroom does not function properly, the only way to open the shower door is to open the bathroom door outwards into the already small bedroom and open the shower door outwards. If you try to open the shower door inwards it is almost impossible to get in and could be a potential hazard with people getting stuck

The location from the train station and shopping is really good, but the location of the hotel it self is not on the good area or surroundings . Found some dodgy bars on the lane in front of the hotel which is the lane is the pedestrian to go to closes train station ( Gardu EST ) Overall the receptionist ( the girls mostly) not friendly at all.

The rooms were comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful, warm and approachable. The location of the property is very apt for RER and metro connectivity. As well as for eating out restaurants.
