« Short walk from Hauptbahnhof »

We chose this hotel a) because we trust Ibis brand; b) location just a short walk from the Vienna central railway station. We needed that because of our age, large luggage and early onward train journey after the second night. It is also easy to get food at the station so the limited options at the hotel at its adjacent Novotel were not a serious problem.

Evert time when I visit Vienna I usually sleep at Ibis Hotels. This is first time in Ibis Hauptbahnhof and will go again to this hotel. It is new, clean, very good location, nice stuff, parking spot with acceptable price

Arrived. Greated nicely. Found an electrical problem in the room. Electrician came 5 minutes after and fixed it. Great breakfast.

« Good stay but frontdesk service could be better »

It was a good stay overall but the front desk customer service could be improved further. For instance, I requested for late check-out until 2pm and the first lady said it was fine but when I reconfirm on the day of check-out, another lady said there was no such request and wanted to charge me. I think my request should have been put into system rather than putting me on the spot. Anyway I feel that there was no difference being a Silver member as there was no extra privilege in Ibis unlike in Novotel. Hope to have a better experience next time.

clean and tidy room near the train station, with convenient access to train and supermarkets, easy to get to/from the city centre. the only improvement i'd suggest is to increase the wi-fi speed and a kettle in the room. overall it was so far the best hotel i've stayed on my euro trip (swiss, germany, czech, slovenia), would definitely consider staying again when I visit next.

Everything was great. The front desk staff were extremely helpful! Breakfast server was professional and helpful!Only thing I wish was there are a hot water pots and body lotion in the room as the room was quiet dry. We can get hot water from front desk, but there weren't any body lotions available at front desk.

The workers were very helpful and provided extra pillow when we asked. The room was clean and fresh for wonderful sleep for our three nights stay. We also spent a couple of nights in Novotel next door as we wanted to experience the newness of both hotels, apart from provision of fridge in Novotel both places are comfortable. Please why would fridge like TV not be standard for every room in this 21st century.

« Reception was not responsive to my requests »

During checkin I told them I will stay for 4 nights, 2 nights are covered by ITEM workshop ad another 2 nights I will pay thru my credit card. I reminded them every single day to take care of my case with organizers, they asked some documents, I sent 3 emails to them showcasing the proof of organizers. I called them on the day of checkout to keep things ready. When I can down to checkout they had no clue of 2 nights paid by organizers and took over 45mins in the checkout counter to tell me my name was not in the list of sponsored stay. I paid for all 4 nights, 2 days later I got an email from my sponsor that not sure why they couldn't find me, hotel doesn't even show that I stayed there. They will reimburse my since hotet didn't ask for my 2nights stay. I clearly explained to reception my name is Denkanikottai (Amar) A.. They said sorry I have to pay. Because of delays at reception, I missed my flight. Such a horrible experience, turst is built in drops and writhdrawn in buckets. Your staff certainly quickly withdrew my turst. Please forward this comment to chief of customer service in Ibis chain. They need to see such occurances.

Excellent stay we asked for 2 additional pillows which were delivered as well as some nice teabags, as that was the only thing that was dissapointing was not having a kettle for making a hot drinks late evenings or early mornings in the room without having to go down in the lift to get drinks to take back up to room.

I have stayed at the hotel before and will definitely stay again. The hotel is modern and well equipped with a good size room and large shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar is small, but had a couple of interesting beers available.
