I honestly had one of the Best experiences ever. From the first phone call I made, The staff were amazing. They were so friendly and very patient and understanding and so genuine and very natural in their approach. Everything was great. The food, the room, the entire experience was wonderful. I would absolutely love to visit Cambridge again, just so I can experience this friendliness from the staff again. A very plesant stay and I would recommend it to others and I have spoken of my experience to many people. I had a lovely time and it really was a much needed break for the family and I feel so deeply grateful for every moment we spent at the Ibis Cambridge. Valentina I belive the staff members name was, was so nice to us and so genuine and always smiling and she gave us such a beautiful service and so welcoming. I can't believe this isn't a 5 star hotel. It was really nice. Thank you so much. Look forward to seeing you again very soon x

Overall, no complaints. Yes, I would like a small hand towel vs two large towels and only one for the shower but I can request another so fine. The ONE thing that is not acceptable are the pillows. They are all the same and extremely hard. These are not up to modern hotel standards in any way. They are bad enough I chose to stay at alternative hotels when possible.

The teams at reception and in the bar downstairs are always friendly and make you feel at home. Pizzas are the best in Cambridge and the hotel runs a variety of themed evenings. I always feel welcome at Ibis Cambridge

Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Staff in the cafe on the ground floor were friendly and efficient, coffee was good and there was a wide selection of food and drinks available. If I have one issue it’s the cleanliness and availability of the single unisex toilet at the rear of the coffee shop which tends to let the operation down a bit in my view.

I have stayed at Ibis Cambridge several times and always have a good experience. However, on my last stay in early September 2019, I found the heating/air cooling/boiler system was quite noisy. I switched the heating/air cooling off, but the noise was still be heard. Apart from that, I didn't have any problem.

The booking process was easy and very efficient. The room was very comfortable and I particularly appreciated how quiet it was, hearing nothing from outside or from other guests. The facilities were easy to understand and use. The breakfast buffet was excellent. All staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful.

The staff we’re all helpful and friendly. I would have preferred a reception desk as opposed to the ‘meet and greet set up’ The shower worked OK but the water was just warm.

The problem was that when I arrived around 11 to drop my bag (I knew I couldn't check in that early) I asked if a travel cot might be available so my small grandson who I was babysitting could stay with me at the hotel rather than me spending the evening at their house and then coming back late to the hotel. No one seemed to know How to find out or be very interested in checking. I was told to ask when I checked in later. When I returned to check in around 5 I was told again they didn't know if one could be made available - I asked them to find out but again the welcome staff were very unhelpful and said they would "see" but I would need to find out when I arrived back again around 7. I explained this was hopeless as if my grandson was with me at 7 but there was no cot I would have to take him home again ( a round trip of about an hour for me on foot). No one seemed to be interested in the question at all and said I could phone and they might be able to tell me. I phoned around 6.30 and some poor girl who could not find out had to go up to the room to find out. Happily she said there was a travel cot - but no one had bothered to tell me or her or put it on the System (eg had there been a fire there would have been no record of a toddler being there at all. I realise this was a last minute request but I would have hoped someone could have sorted it out and got back to me to confirm within the 8 hours it took. (But the cot was excellent by the way)

Very pleasant but rather short stay...the latter being wholly my fault.

This is the fifth time I have stayed at this hotel. Of it's type it is one of the best I have stayed at. The check in staff are now well trained (better than when the hotel first opened). The public rooms, bedrooms and shower rooms are all clean. The only slight problem was that the air conditioning seemed to have a mind of it's own! Breakfasts have improved and the long serving times at weekends are appreciated. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food and drink served in the cafe is perfectly adequate.

I like staying at the Ibis Central Station. It is clean, quiet, close to the office I visit and near all the shops and services I need. My only issue is that the bathroom is sometimes not cleaned as well as it could be, and WHY DO YOU SAY YOU WONT PROVIDE NEW TOWELS IF I HANG THEM UP BUT I ALWAYS GET NEW TOWELS? I even cover the towel on the hook with the paper that says hang the towel and we won’t replace it, and I still get a fresh towel every day.

Poor first impressions - walked into what appeared to be a busy bar/pizza place. No visible sign of check in desk. Walked around building - turns out there is no check in desk, only helpful people in red shirts holding tablets. And they work in the pizza bar apparently. Meanwhile much drinking and noise all about whilst I find this out. Then have to shout out my details in the middle of the bar around luggage to get my room key. Room OK, but needed an extra towel. Cheery note explains that there is no phone to call reception and I should use whatsapp - something I do not subscribe to. So without a way of contacting 'reception' (who I by now realized couldn't hear a phone ring even if they had one!) I just made do without an extra towel. All in all, a surprising trip, perhaps this experience is attractive to hip young travelers, but I think you're underestimating the value of a peaceful helpful concierge and reception desk.
