A group of old friends who were at college together in the 60's ! We had a great time. The hotel was modern and comfortable and well sited. The young staff were friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable and a good shower.

« Good hotel, excellent staff! »

Very convenient location, lots of options to eat nearby, quiet rooms for good quality sleep. The best thing about Ibis Cambridge is the service! The front desk and the bar team are brilliant and extremely helpful. They always remember your name and your preferences and try their best to make one's stay a very pleasant experience. Huge thanks to Gabriel, Leonardo, Caroline, Charline and Giuseppe for making business travellers feel at home! We always feel looked after and cared for.

« Great 2 night stay »

Very comfortable 2 night stay in Cambridge during our brief sightseeing visit to the city. As we were travelling by train, this hotel is very conveniently located next to the railway station. There are restaurants, coffee shops and small supermarkets all located within a few metres. The hop on hop off bus stop is less than a hundred metres away..

« you still have not sent a receipt for my last stay. »

ok a little crowded in the bar/cafe in the evening and again at breakfast your system of sending receits by e-mail on checkout seems a little unreliable. i have still nt received my receipt for last week's stay. 2nd time this has happened now.

In general good for the price paid in a expensive city like Cambridge; though there are details missing. We asked twice ( one at the "reception", one to the room maid, for a softer pillow that never came.

« It was a very enjoyable stay »

I enjoyed my evening at the IBIS. It was welcoming and pleasant. The rooms are good. The free drink on arrival was much appreciated. The young dark haired French woman (I didn't note her name unfortunately) who checked us in (and out the next morning) was very charming, helpful and agreeable. The breakfast was very good.

The experience was excellent. My room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, everything was spotless. The location was perfect, right by the train station. Check in was easy and efficient. I stored my luggage both before getting my room and after checking out so that I could explore Cambridge.

Very good impression and very pleasant staff. Informative, helpful and polite throughout the hotel, breakfast room and cafe. Everything was very clean. It would be helpful to be able to add the cafe bill onto the room bill, since they both seem to be charged to the same account, instead of having to pay separately. Maybe the pizza was a bit dry for some but only a minor niggle. Excellent coffee.

« Normal Ibis Cambridge standard »

This is the third time I've stayed here. The reception staff were their usual friendly efficient selves, dealing quickly when I asked for more tea bags and milk cartons (why do hotels only put 2/4 in rooms initially?). The room, the bed, the bathroom were all to Ibis standards but these hotel seems expensive compared to other Ibis hotels in Europe. Cooked breakfast foods are only lukewarm. Further on in the survey in the question about problems encountered I wanted to enter that the shaver point didn't work (not reported) but I couldn't remove the pre-entered 'Bedroom noise' comment.

Starting from check in with Gabriele (really professional, welcoming and helpful) and finishing with check out (I’m sorry but the gentleman that checked us out didn’t have a name badge, so I cannot say who it was…). I found it really welcoming as well to have a personalized card and some cookies for us in the room (cookies were awesome!). Breakfast was well presented and always with enough food for everyone. We had something to eat as well at the café and it was nice too. I find quite personal and nice that you give out recommendations of your favourite places for guests in the form of a map  Overall, a very nice stay really :)

What a gem, this was our first visit to an IBIS hotel, the staff were efficient and engaging nothing was too much trouble for them. The facilities were excellent value for money for a city centre hotel in such a famous city and we thought the breakfast was a particular highlight. Would recommend it without reservation.

The hotel is in the right location to take advantage of setting of to any place in Cambridge. The staff are so helpful, courteous and friendly they can't do enough for their guests. The food is plentiful and delicious, the atmosphere is happy, friendly and inviting. The lounge area down stairs is conducive to making friends and starting conversations. Overall ,this hotel is a great place to stay, short term or long.
