« A good place to stay in Cambridge »

We had a really nice weekend. We travel with a baby and we had a big room and the baby cot was perfect. All the staff were kind and helpful. The bar has good atmosphere and the food is correct. Excellent choice!

« If you're kept awake all night, there's no point paying for a bed for the night. »

Arrival was a bit confusing. We went in and out of the front door twice before we realised the girls in red T-shirts were the reception and it wasn't just a pizzaria. Woken up at midnight, then again at 3.30am by a lot of noise in the corridor outside our room. Banging doors and shouting and at one point we thought someone had banged on our door but we were to scared to check. CCTV should explain what was going on. I would have called reception if there had been a phone, but there wasn't one. We found a note in the morning saying you can contact reception by Whatsap, but we couldn't have done that because I had forgotten my phone charger so my phone had run out of battery. There was an intermittent, but strong smell of cigarette smoke during night and in morning. We checked the corridor and no one was smoking there so it must have been drifting through from an adjacent room (we were on the 5th floor). It seems an insignificant point now, considering the rest of our experience, but two small towels are not adequate. I would expect a separate hand towel and bath towel.

My second stay here. Good parking for someone turning up after working hours. Lots of taxis nearby to whisk one into the centre of Cambridge. And also walking distance as well. A lively downstairs bar/eating area which is more appealing than most places offer. Reasonable bedrooms and bathrooms.

« Great location, great hotel, great stay! »

We chose this hotel because of its location, guest rating and decor. The whole experience was excellent from arrival to departure. Check-in was seamless and every member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast room (overlooking the station square) is light, bright and there is plenty of seating, even when busy. The choice on offer for breakfast is excellent. We also ate one evening in the Chill2 bar on the ground floor which has a nice atmosphere. A lovely mini-break!

We were very satisfied with our stay at Ibis Cambridge - friendly, helpful staff, a comfortable room and nice atmosphere. The choice at breakfast was great but it would be even better if vegetarian sausages were included in the hot breakfast option! Many thanks.

Room comfortable, breakfast and environment very good. Pastry left in my room till I got there at around 10.00pm slightly odd - how long had it been sitting there - and then the plate not removed by the cleaner the next day? Really unhappy with the cost of parking and would probably stop me coming again.

« Dry air makes for a sleepless night »

I usually like the Ibis but my enjoyment was compromised because the heating system rendered the air so dry I practically desicated overnight. I had to get up 3 times in the night to use my eye drops. The whole experience was miserable.

Super friendly staff. Such a funky hotel with kind staff. I was a little annoyed that the kitchen staff were rude to our waiter, when it was the kitchen staff who made the mistake, but other than that, a fantastic stay. We would love to come back again!

The location is great - just outside the train station, with bus connectivity, access to taxi stand and a Sainsburys across the road. The front-desk staff are prompt and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, though a little cramped. The bed is comfortable. The service quality is okay. However, we found very few English language channels on TV and sometimes the housekeeping staff did not provide sufficient tea bags / sugar sachets - small stuff, but can be irritating. Will stay here again when we visit Cambridge.

Check in very smooth. The room & bed very clean & comfortable. All our party located on the same floor. Did not sample the food as we had other arrangements but had a few drinks in the pleasant lounge. Extremely well situated if travelling by train but also parking convenient if driving,

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the station and because I could get a twin room and it was great value for money. I didn’t get the name of the lady who checked us in. She was friendly, efficient and even asked if we were there for a specific event. When I said it was my friend’s birthday she gave us 2 welcome drink vouchers which was a nice touch. The room was clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Easy check out too.
