good location near train station, convenient for me who travel from city to city. Good location to find necessary stuff such as grocery, restaurants. only a mile walk to city center (I need to have some walk, too, to exercise and enjoy the city). But I do not like the idea of no reception desk. Confusing and difficult for me to hold my papers and pen when I need to settle the bills.

Good location has kept the price high - not typical IBIS budget price. Staff very good in all areas. A very well managed hotel with good rooms and an excellent breakfast. No draft beer/lager available from the cafe/bar.

Ibis Cambridge Central station is a very convenient hotel for visiting Cambridge and for travelling to & from Cambridge by train. The staff here were the most caring, friendliest and happiest I have come across at an Ibis and really bent over backwards for their customers. The rooms were very comfortable & at the height of the heatwave were at a very comfortable temperature for sleeping. The only issue I had was with the reception area and check-in. It is a very efficient check-in, but at busy times it gets very crowded in the entrance and if you are staying at the hotel, it is difficult to get past the travellers checking in.

The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. I was only bothered by noisy guests in neighbouring rooms, slamming doors until 12.30 and shouting in the hallway.

I found the hotel very welcoming and very clean and tidy with a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. My only complaint was the very high cost - it seems odd that prices can vary from £70 up to £150 per night, but I guess this is the business. Paying £150 felt like far too much.

« Great situation and super breakfast! »

We were off to a party in Norfolk and needed a stopover. This hotel is with spitting distance of the station. There's no reception and smiling staff check you in with hand-helds. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, the big TV and the shower in the 'pod' bathroom. Breakfast was great, on the first floor with a view of the square. We recommend it and would stay again.

Comfy, well organised and designed. Good airconditioning, interconnecting rooms useful feature. Great relaxed online check in and superb cyst service. Liked the luggage left facility on check out too. Only negative...too small a rubbish bins in room.

The check in was efficient and welcoming. The room was quiet as requested though the maintenance wasn't perfect - the bathroom sink was clogged. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful and pleasant.
