The rooms are comfortable enough but the real gem about this place is the very helpful staff, all cheerful and ready to help. There are no communication problems as almost all staff speak good English.

It’s many times for me to stay here,Arrow,Max is always helpful and enthusiastic. As lobby ambassador,Arrow always provide the best service to me including ordering restaurant,arrange the room according my requests. For max,he had a best Concierge team,willing to share the city information and luddage help. Generally speaking,I can feel warm welcome in the hotel. Sofitel Kunming Hotel. At first I thank the Director-General Mr. ANDRE ERASMUS , for the wonderful effort at the hotel, you have a whole hotel working, I have tried to find any negative order during my stay at the hotel, but in fact it was positive and wonderful. First: I was always talking about the reception and welcome and the room that I stayed in, but this time I will talk about The restaurant they have, when I entered the restaurant I was impressed by the way the order and cleanliness of the restaurant you see the dining table is integrated And shine of cleanliness, I liked the way food is organized and classified, where you see meat food in the side, and food Vegetables in the side and sea food in the side. Cooking method for all tastes. That's why I consider the restaurant manager a good manager. He has a wonderful coach team. Great respect and thanks. Mr. PARK QIAN , Restaurant Manager Mr. Mohamed Ali Konhi , for his welcome and sponsorship. Mr. FAY YANG, the person I will never forget. He used to ask me a daily meal, especially if I did not find what I wanted MR. KING LAN , food & beverage Manager. MR. Mathias Ess , food &beverage . It really is awesome. Second: I liked the hotel swimming pool they had clean and warm water temperature. Third: they have a lounge, it was nice overlooking more than a clean city view, a wonderful daily reception, and a way They provide their daily food, but next time I hope they will eat a lot of vegetables and seafood. I thank Ms. Caroline Li , for her daily reception and hospitality. Ms. Julie Li , The wonderful person I enjoyed talking to every day and reporting beautiful tourist spots I go there every day. Ms. Avan Yuan , smiling at our reception. Fourth: The hotel room, I was always in every hotel I let down by saying that my bedroom was nicer, and I did not rest in my bed, In this room I felt the change, it was very clean and comfortable and the distribution of the lights was very good, the room was bright The colors are beautiful. I travel around the world on business and I am used to stay in 4 or 5 stars hotel but this Sofitel does stand out. Even though I stayed last year at Sofitel Kunming for 6 days stay and in-spite of my very positive experience . This week it was far & beyond. What a time ! Beautiful Harmony among the staff! A very helpful staff starting with Camille at the reception and ending up with Mr. Park and his team at the 49th floor. Very helpful team ,smiling , positive and service oriented.

Modern and cozy room decor with nice facilities giving one the feeling of comfort with good privacy. Breakfast and other dining venue settings are nicely presented, with above average food choices and quality. Staff are generally polite and accommodating, but could improve with a warmer response, especially those working in the restaurants. Overall, a nice hotel worthy of revisiting and recommendation to friends.

The room is spacious and the décor impressive. Wait staff at the restaurant were polite and helpful, however they need more training to be attentive and forthcoming. Except the French Trainee, Camilla Piors who were most helpful, cheerful and warm all the time, the local staff at the reception counter seemed unnecessarily cool. They need more training to make guests feel they are obliging and cheerful. At the last night of our stay, the door keys of our party occupying four rooms all failed to function. We took them to the reception. Instead of apologizing to us for the inconvenience, the staff gave us the impression that we were bothering her. Also the invitation to me to check in on line said that the keys would be available when we check in. This was not the case, we had to go through the usual procedure and spent the usual time waiting for check in, so why check in on line? The same thing happened on check out.

« Highly efficient checking in and out; Wonderful staff at the Executive Lounge; »

The front desk crews are much more experienced than my previous visits and as a result, the checking in and out processes were smooth and efficient. I was also very impressed by the hospitality at the Executive Lounge. I would like to mention Caroline for her attention to details and her genuine care for the best of the customers.

Front Desk staff kept calling back mobile after check-out for credit card 预授权 number issue. Was traveling for business reason and was in meeting with clients during the day. But kept receiving calls since the original credit card receipt at Front Desk was written with some characters and they cannot see clearly for the number........Then the western restaurant waitress starts calling from noon time for she had issued a meal fapiao with wrong number. The fapiao number is not the same with the printed one on the fapiao, which made the fapiao info different with the tax bureau record, and thus the restaurant cannot issue any further fapiao due to this mistake. She asked me to immediately return the fapiao while I'm already on my way to airport... Had other travel plan so cannot send her the fapiao by courier immediately, so received another 2 calls on the next day. Very annoying especially for the business people. The staff needs lots training on their professional, and their communication skills.

Very Cold at nite time. I complained already on the second day morning , asked them to adjust the heat (as temperature controlled by hotel centrally) and add blanket for me. Nothing has been improved when i get to room after a long working day. I was so disappointed.
