1. During paid the deposits, card mechanic said cannot accept my card. The staff haven’t try 1 more time and reject directly. At first I think maybe my card have some problem. However, next day I gonna other hotel is fine. 2. There have non smoking sign in the lobby, I saw few time have ppl smoking. But no staff stop it.

When we arrived as Accor club members pew went to a party with free drinks and food. We had free early and late check out and in. Best of all a hotel staff member came and helped us buy phone card and train tickets

I was pleased overall with the hotel condition and staff. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. I paid extra for access to Club Millesime. It was pleasant, but the level of staff English was quite low. I expected a higher level of English language in your executive club. In my room (#4312), everything was clean and in good condition. But the water tap in the sink was very loose and wobbly. This shows that the cleaning staff is not reporting things that need repair or attention. This needs to be addressed. On the positive side the breakfast buffet on the 49th floor was amazing. Food was great and the selection was huge. I may stay at this hotel again.

The property was great. Room was great. Service was great. However, upon check out, I realized that I have been charged twice for my stay. I emailed the property to seek a refund of this double charge but have been refused a refund. This is unacceptable and dishonest.

My stay was still a normal/expected one. I assume it would be better when I'm eligible for lounge access and other perks (I will soon become a GOLD member) in the coming future. The date of check out this time was in fact my birthday, some other hotel groups would express its gratitude for loyal customers. Sofitel Kunming didn't have any action and I'm fine with such because I understand that style of each hotel group varies indeed.

Good : 1) Solid Platinum Status Recognition. Was upgraded to a Prestige Suite which was lovely. I love hotel that upgrades Platinum members to Suite (just like Starwood and Marriott which I also hold Platinum status). I hate Sofitel hotels (such as Sofitel Bangkok) that cook up excuses such as upgrading Platinum member to a higher floor with the same room size as I do not regard this as a Platinum benefit./upgrade of room. 2) Excellent top of the city view. 3) Great service from front desk to restaurant to club lounge. All 3 departments offered me some takeaway breakfast such as bread/fruit when they know that I have to check out at 5 AM in the morning for my flight as I cannot have my breakfast in the restaurant. Great initiative even though I declined their kind gesture. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. Hope that you will continue with your great service for my upcoming stay on 31 July 2018 (2 days later).

Compliments to Sofitel for having the most comfortable mattress and bedding anywhere this world traveler has visited. You have the best Concierge team lead by Max and Michael. I am most grateful for their advice. Your foods in your other restaurants are very good, except buffet breakfast items can be kept hotter with hot plates below pots. Your room was too dark and we often couldn't see or find things. Almost too romantic. Needs to be able to adjust luminosity in room please. Suggest you keep a line in front of your front desk. you have one in front of your loyalty guest line. But the problem is with all the Chinese guests who kept cutting in front of lines to suit their convenience, with no regards to others waiting. If you have a line from whihc each guest can go up to the next available desk person, it would help. It is not your fault, but either you keep a line and order, or your staff needs to tell the rude guests who cut in front to let others lined up go first. Other than the above suggestions, you have a great property!
