« The hotel met my expectations for the short business stay that did not permit use of all facilities »

I effectively spent 3 nights at the hotel but the stay was purely for business purposes which prevented me from using very many of the facilities that people on holiday break would have used. However some key feedback comments are: You advertise your green credentials in the bathroom but my towels were replaced everyday - not essential Tea selection in my room was limited - would add English breakfast variety - also a packet of biscuits would be good TV selection was very limited for international visitors with BBC world service not available Provision for hot cooked omelettes are available in many good hotels around the world Appreciated the reception personnel being able to provide a socket adapter for English plugs

« Overall good, but the beach was turned into a public place! »

Very polite and helpful personnel (especially Maria from reception.) Helped me every time I've asked for help. Negative: too many people on the beach who are not guests at the hotel, so security guys are going to and fro and trying to sort out "who is who". They are doing the right thing, but these people are overflowing the beach and all these arguments can be quite annoying. Also, people are allowed to use the area in front of the sea - there are a lot of them and sometimes it is impossible to get to the water and swim as the space is quite limited. I felt like the beach for customers from Mercure and Pulman has turned into a public beach!!!

the hotel is in an excellent location - close to the centre, beachfront promenade, easily accessible from the airport (taxi 35-40 min) and very close to the sea ( mind the 11 flights of stairs). The hotel room provide you with a comfortable bed, sitting area with comfy armchair, writing desk, minifridge, tea-coffee facilities, TV, wardrobe and luggage rack. Bathroom is well appointed with all shiny and perfectly working fixtures, taps, showers, hair dryer etc etc. All bathroom towels are crispy clean and changed daily. Breakfast is more than sufficient - its delicious, tasteful, elegantly presented and contains all you need for the morning meal, yet in comparison with the last year I found a selection of fruits to be weak. One addition to their beach facilities – VIP bungalows ( please see photos). 5 in total, located on the left and right sides of the beach area - they are free for guests staying in Presidential Suite Pullman, 5k RUB for other hotel guests and 6k RUB for walk-ins. VIP bungalow amenities include beach towels, fruit salad, mineral water and everything else available for other guests – lockers, shower, toilet, changing rooms, wifi, lifeguard and medical service. The only real draw-back is wifi. It presented a huge problem in the beech and pool are ( numerous lags and log-outs during a single session, sometimes its not functioning at all), in the guest rooms and hotel lobby the signal is good but requires several ( 7-8) log- ins during a single day. All the rest is an absolute Black Sea Positivity as I already have written in my previous review. See the details there. Special THANKS and enormous praise to the housekeeping team, and especially those working on the 7th floor, your welcoming smile, friendliness and professional skills do you a special credit. Your work and attitude was just perfect. Thank you all.

I went to Sochi with my girlfriend and friends and my overall experience was great. The stuff was always helpful, location is great and for the price you pay you get a lot of things, such as swimming pool with bar or access to the beachfront with very comfortable furniture.

We arrived for the soccer world cup and did not expect what we experienced. We arrived at 6am and had to wait for 6 hours for a room (we did expect this and had no problem with it). The reception staff moved us to a room as soon as one became available. The room was fantastic and above our expectations. The view was amazing. Breakfast was lovely every morning. Beach and pool facilities were easy to access. All staff were lovely especially the security guys they were very efficient. Can not fault our stay.

We arrived in Sochi for the world Cup and this hotel was lovely. We arrived at 6am and although we had to wait 6 hours (we did expect this and had no problem with it) the reception staff moved us to a room as soon as one became available. The room was definitely worth the wait. We had a balcony with city and water views. The room was larger than expected and breakfast was excellent every day. All staff were a great help. Many of the staff spoke English which was a help. Access to the beach and pool were convenient. I Would stay here again.

Really great, staff was really helpful and understanding that the airport lost our bags. Their seemed genuinely empathetic. They also allowed us to check in 2 hours early which they didn’t have to. The room was very nice with a great view and the use of the gym at the adjoining hotel was pretty great. Would def stay there again

« A really nice hotel, well situated and best welcome gift ever for platinum members »

We really liked the location of the hotel in front of the sea, the staff were really friendly and the room service really fast. The staff at the bar also was really knowledge full about the drinks and could guide us to some really good drinks to use our platinum members vouchers on. The room was clean and the amenities were all there. The breakfast was good and the concierge service in partnership with the pullman next door is really convenient. The english of the staff at the reception was ok but it can take some improvement. What we enjoyed the most was the platinum member gift to go and enjoy 3 hours of treatment in a really amazing spa in roza khutor! We were really surprised and happy for that!

« A great hotel on the Black Sea - totally worth its money »

I would like to thank the staff of the Mercure Sochi Centre hotel for their generous hospitality and care. We felt very welcome and have had not a single problem. The hotel's location is superb, the facilities are outstanding. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends as a way to get even if only a short relief from winter in Moscow. Modern and clean hotel with great views over the Black Sea. Very reasonable price but breakfast was disappointing with scrambled eggs made from powder. Avoid rooms on the top floor which suffer from a continuous hum from some installation on the roof.
