« Lovely breakfast and smiling staff »

I have recently become a big fan of the Pullman Thamrin Jakarta CBD thanks to their breakfast. I've stayed there a couple of times, and now I really cannot think of a better place to stay. Even if the rooms serve their purpose, I would like them to be bigger. With that said, it could simply be that the rooms I book are built in that manner. This time I also hosted 3 events at the hotel and the Sales and Marketing department has been very helpful. Most of all I would like to point out that literally every single person on the staff are very friendly and they always smile which puts a smile on your face immediately lifting your mood.

We had a poor experience at the check in .. we were initially told that despite having booked the executive lounge we could not use it as only platinum members could use if !.. we were astounded and after demanding that we have access. As we had chosen a room with access when booking in the accor site as a gold member we were given access.. never heard this rule before and hopefully never hear it again !.. we have travelled ths world using accor hotels and always use the executive lounge as it is the best .. also we were not allowed to use the normal breakfast facilities and refused entry embarrassingly this has never happened anywhere else

First, we served by front officer name Wulan. She said the room that we have requested was not available. Our request was deluxe room with twin bed and city view (Thamrin view). And then she wanted to give us a twin bed but a smoking room. Of course we don't want that smoking room. And she tried to give us a double bed room, non smoking room but not a city view. What the hell? we have choose the deluxe twin bed and city view from the Accor website. If it was not available, you should inform it as a sold out room. After half an hour, she came back and gave us a deluxe room with double bed, city view and non smoking room, and OK we accepted that. But guess what we found when we arrived at the room. It was room 401. We found a dead cockroach!!!! What the hell! You are a five stars hotel for God's sake. But since we are so tired complaining, and we believe that you will say we dont have any room left, we just throwed away the cockroach to the garbage can. You may ask your room service, if they find a cockroach in the trash can when they cleaned up the room.Second, your room and the hallway was smell so bad! It smells like the old buliding and you tried to spray the whole room and hallway with i dont know, some cheap perfume that made us nausea.Well, with the price more than eight million Rupiahs for two nights, it was not worthy at all. And we guaranteed that we never wanted to stay in your hotel again....never!

We were happy with our room. It was clean, big enough & also smelt good. The check in & check out was also smooth, friendly staff & helpful. Front staffs & concierges were also great. Overall we enjoyed our stay & will stay here again in the future. (-): 1. Because the hotel was fully booked, we couldn't have extra towels. Maybe can prepare a bit more for next year :) 2. Some of the waitresses in Sana Sini restaurant during breakfast time were a bit rude & not friendly. On the first day of breakfast (1 Jan), we weren't offered any tea or coffee. I think they were quite busy already since it was a packed restaurant after new year. Second day of breakfast, we were given a table that hasn't been cleaned from previous customers. I asked one of the waitresses to clean the table, and she cleaned the table with a sour face. and I also asked her to change the utensils from the tables because they are dirty, and she told me that those are clean utensils without even checked them first, then I showed her the dirty utensils, and she didn't even say anything, just looked at it and after that she just left. I think she asked one of her friend to serve us because a different waitress came to change the utensils. I think some of the waitresses might have to improve their attitude. The man waiter on the other hand was helpful and friendly.

It was a nice experience, Loves the breakfast especially for the Indonesian menu such as mie goreng, bubur ayam and nasi goreng. For the bathroom, maybe it is better to put a rubber outside the bathtub edge, because it’s slippery after showering. The bathtub edge quite sharp and the rubber can prevent someone hit their knee in that sharp edge.

« Good location but noisy »

I stayed at Pullman JKT Thamrin a few years back, and demanded a room facing the quiet rear of the hotel. But at that time the hotel only can offered me twin bed instead of king bed. This time I insisted on king bed and the hotel offered a room facing the noisy main room. It was so noisy even at 2am. I need to take sleeping pills in order to sleep!
