We were delighted with every aspect if our stay at this Ibis. From the low key, personal check-in to the hassle free check-out and free luggage store, it was perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Decorated to a modern, relaxing standard it helped us relax immediately after a days travelling. Perfectly situated just a minuite off the Royal Mile, it is extremely central. We will definately be back :)

This was the second time when I decided to lodge at Ibis South Bridge, and I have to admit that this last experience was not that great. During the first night, there must have been a party somewhere in the hotel or guests that went partying- which meant that there was an unacceptable level of noise. Suffice to say that not even the ear plugs helped me with falling and staying asleep. And it doesn't seem that the Hotel Staff new how to handle this either. I think is totally unacceptable that a few noisy guests disturb the sleep and stay of an entire floor of guests.

This time round too, it was a comfortable stay. The rooms are always clean and well storked with tea and coffee. It is centrally located. But was a bit disappointed this time breakfast was not included in the tariff. I am in my mid seventies and enjoy a good breakfast.

Not everybody is used to have full breakfast in the morning or some people have some particular preferences we do not meet, so we believe that not everybody should pay for breakfast. Breakfast price is removed from the total price and it is up to you if you want to go for it or not. The employees are very kind, with small spaces as the reception, with comfortable bed, small space in the room but enough, the shower is very narrow, the cleaning not is of quality but enough, it is in the centre of the city with beautiful landscapes, and beautiful city, the towels need more washed, and maybe a machine for change fractionary money for the buses and others.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well presented but basic room. Told we'd been upgraded for free, I'm still wondering just what the upgrade was and why the fuss over the gesture. Only thing we could see that might be an upgrade was having the Iron in the room, which we didn't need. Too few power points and not well placed, nothing next to the mirror for using Hair drier/straighteners. Way out of reach of a standard cable.

This was my first stay in Edinburgh, so I needed help on places to eat and how best to see the sights and pursue our interest in art galleries. The staff were very helpful. I happened to mention that I was celebrating my birthday, and when we returned to our room at the end of a busy day we were surprised and delighted to find a little teatime treat had been prepared and left there for us. On the final day, we were again advised of a nearby museum which, on a drizzly day, occupied the time before our train left very satisfactorily. Our luggage was stored, and a taxi quickly called to take us to the station. Two elderly people appreciate the service very much.

Disappointed there was no desk in the premium room. Also no socket by the bed, and no sensible place to plug the kettle in. But the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms nice. Also very clean. Food in the restaurant very nice, bit expensive.
