Lovely room - in disabled room as only available (or whatever). After a week of hot hotels in Scotland with no aircon such comfort (not that usually needed in the Highlands where we had been). Friendly staff and lovely breakfast.

Location, Breakfast and Room was superb. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming. I had a drink at the Bar twice and was superb. I also had a dinner at your hotel. The one thing I would've really liked was a safe in the room to keep my passport in. I laughed when I read about how the room was engineered for comfort with blackout drapes as I couldn't get the drapes fully shut-- there was no pulley mechanism and the curtain rail was 14 feet in the air-- but in my case I think the morning sun helped my jetlag.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we felt welcomed and accommodated. Check-in was smooth and the staff was very helpful in answering questions we had. The room itself was lovely (loved the hardwood floors), spacious with all the amenities provided. The view out of the skylights was wonderful!

« The 1st night (24th June) was fine, but the 2nd (2nd July) was very disappointing. »

On the 2nd July we were put in a a room for a disabled person, therefore low washbasin/wet room set-up; the handle of the door to the bathroom fell apart so that to maintain privacy we had to jam luggage against the door! The room window was sealed shut, there was no way of getting air into the room despite stifling heat. We had arrived late in the evening so weren't able to ask for alternative accommodation, but we did complain to staff the next morning, so there will be a record of our experience.
