Hi, all i wish to say is that we were booked through &quot;Glorydays &quot; and agency in Edinburgh with 2 nights B+B at Ibis South Bridge, plus tickets for the tattoo on 5th + 6th August, total cost was GBP558 which was 2 nights B+B @279 per night!! which apart from its position was nothing exceptional room was basic, 2 coffee sachets, 2 tea bags, couple of sugars, and a couple of milks! breakfast was average again nothing exceptional, so we felt that their was not much value for 279/night? We have just had 2 nights at the Ibis Earls Court, London for 50% of what i paid in Edinburgh! which was excellent value in comparison, so we were left with the feeling that somewhere along the line we were overcharged but we do not know by whom? ive contacted &quot;Glorydays&quot; but received a weak reply, finally we live in New Zealand, and for the equivalent of 558GBP i could have a week in Fiji with flights! Anyway, its best you know our views, and not sure who can explain how these charges came about? enough to say we did not find real value at those prices. Thank you, Graeme & Linda M.

I received great service from everyone working at the hotel from the beginning of my visit to the end. It was easy to check in, the breakfast staff were efficient and attentive. I ordered a coffee at the bar for my £5 voucher for not getting my room cleaned and the bar staff was friendly and he let me take the cup to my room. Storing my luggage at the end of my visit was easy and professional.

Obviously one would like the room earlier when arriving at 9.30am after a 4am start but we left our bags and came back around 1pm. Room was ready!

Wonderful experience from the moment we arrived . Loved the reception staff who were able to advise us on numerous queries we had . Bar staff were extremely helpful and made big efforts to make our stay enjoyable there . Also had dinner there and good was fabulous .

Overpriced and very poor accommodation

I appreciate that the festival allows for a massive premium but the rooms are very poor and the bathroom pods extremely low quality . The beds, linen and pillows also were uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient.

The hotel looks much better from the outside than from the inside and probably would benefit from some cosmetic interior renovation of public areas and rooms. Also hotel represents two (or maybe) even three separate buildings connected by passages, so to get to our room from the entrance was quite an effort. Finally, despite being clearly stated during the booking and followed up by a separate call, the room we got upon check in was NOT a twin room. However, I must say that after this was escalated, the hotel personnel very quickly managed to find a solution and moved us to a different room with twin beds, which by that time was just cleaned.

All was generally good. I would mention that the breakfast experience was not perfect. The tables were cleared and prepared for next guests was slow. Replenishment of juices was slow. Replenishment of hot water / cold milk and small spoons in the tea/coffee area was very slow. Bacon in the UK could be &quot;back&quot; rather than &quot;streaky&quot;. You could advertise fried/ poached eggs being available rather than just scrambled. Otherwise other food provided was of a good standard.

There was a coach trip in front of us. The reception had little space for this and the queue was badly managed. Went to the room, which was an accessible one, which wasn't mentioned and a bit of a surprise. The room smelt of stale fried fish :/ The breakfast finished early, 10am and the queues were long for poor quality food.

We are currently working on different solutions to avoid crowded issue during the check-in of groups. In case of any issue in the room, we would be very happy to help you out if you inform us at the reception. Our breakfast is indeed served till 12 PM only during the weekend. We've reduced the opening hours during the week because we do not have enough people going to have breakfast later than 10 AM. If we would as well open until 12 PM, we would waste a lot of food as it would have to be replaced a couple of times. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies regarding the different issues you've had during your stay with us but we hope you had a good time to Edinburgh. Noisy music at night

Simple clean hotel. What surprised us whas a super loud music being played outside from 3AM to 5AM. It was coming from some bar at the courtyard just below the hotel. Unbelievable. Even with closed windows, it was noisy as hell.

The hotel is an excellent base in the centre of Edinbugh. The room on the top floor was spacious although sparsly furnished and the bed comfortable. We would have liked an opening window and we had to leave a dailyreminder for sufficient Breakfast Tea bags rather than a standard two.

Staff training needed on Le Club Accor eligibility!

Good points: Staff friendly and accommodating Room on the front was triple glazed so quite (last summer I had a room at the side near a noisy nightclub) Bad points: Queue for breakfast as hotel so busy and lack of tables. Plus staff cleaned up my breakfast when I went to get a drink and when I came back 30 seconds later some other guests were sat at table! Training needed: On both my visits I have had issues with staff’s understanding of Le club Accor scheme, business bookings are eligible even when booked through an agent and not direct on the accor website. Staff don’t understand this, the receptionist didn’t want to enter my club Accor number or give me the drink voucher (I am a silver member). He did eventually but I had to insist, I don’t get this problem at any other Accor hotels in the uk and I stay in plenty! I gave online feedback for you to improve staff training, but got a reply from Stacey at the hotel who wrote ‘How it works is unless you have booked directly with accor you are not eligible for points‘. Incorrect for business bookings!! On my last day I asked to speak to the manager and spoke to a Spanish lady at reception, she understood the process properly and confirmed my stay was eligible for Club Accor points and my Club details were added to my booking. So I have now received the points ok but lack of staff training caused me problems while I was there and this is the second time at this particular hotel.
