I recently stayed at the Ibis Astana for 5 days and was overall pleased with my experience. It was a good homebase from which to leave and conduct my business. The room was big enough and I was happy to see nice wood floors, which hide nothing, as opposed to carpet, which I don't like. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. The only complaint I had was that there were only two slow coffee machines, you know the type that can make anything, but very slowly. When they were working there was often a line and unfortunately I need my coffee so I had to wait in this line.

« Very nice, except rooms »

Friendly staff. All problems are solved quickly. Fantastic food! Every course was so tasty! This is the strongest part of this hotel, however prices could be a bit lower... Rooms ventilation is terrible, the only way to get fresh oxygen is to keep door a bit open. We were even forced to ask the staff to change our first room - it helped a little, but if you close the door - you gonna die of brain asphyxia anyway. Wrong design somewhere. :( No lock in bathrooms - what was that? :) It costs a penny! Creaking floors in a room is also an upset.

Good experience and friendly staff. The only problem, is they are always in a hurry to charge in advance my credit card before checking out from the hotel. ....i was supposed to check out on the 24th of January....they called me on the 23 rd evening asking me when i am checking out....i told them tomorrow the 24th....10 seconds later i received an sms message they charged in advance till the checking out day ! Always in a hurry !

The room was cozy, but it was also stuffy and I couldn't open the window to let a bit of fresh air in. The breakfast is excellent.

Excellent hotel in a modern area not far from the center and the airport service good, large rooms with top view at the 13rd floor! The services was excellent, morning buffet super with large choice but very international. Modern area but with shops nearby and Supermarket. I recommend to come to Ibis

« A convenient and reasonably priced hotel with freindly staff »

Despite a long check in time, the hotel was efficient and helpful staff made my stay a pleasant one. The separate bar and restaurant provided an excellent breakfast and reasonable selection of main meal options. I particularly enjoyed the white beer.

All the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Although hotel busy during the Expo and a lot of Chinese groups, the hotel was quite and the breakfast room very well controlled. The view from the room at 11th floor was fantastic, overlooking the all city. The taxi company working with the hotel is very good and trustable which is not the case with other taxis in Astana...

A guy at the reception authorised my bank card when I arrived, in an our he telephoned to my room to say that my reservation from Sky Way was confirmed but... forgot to cancel the authorisation. So I had to remind him when checking out :-(
