« Fantastic Stay »

this was our second visit to Mercure. we visited previously on December 2014. back then we had a few problems with the WiFi, this time it worked great! we really love your hotel and the places around it that make south Koh Chang such a lovely place to visit again and again. The facilities are great - we especially loved the gym and the swimming pools. the business room as well (great cookies) we would like to re-visit in the future, so if you could get us a nice price for returning, we would love it. Things to improve: 1. The mosquitoes really bothered us. during the previous visit it wasn't so bad. We think that part of the problem is with the door to our room - the it opens and closes, many mosquitoes found there way into the room. During the room cleaning - while it was cleaned, the door was completely wide open, again with lots of mosquitoes entering the room. 2. The cleaning of room could be improved. we came for 15 nights (!) the sun balcony wasn't cleaned during our stay, it had a lot of spider webs. 3. The room service special offering for pizza didn't work. When we called and asked for it, it was difficult to communicate our order - we were billed for the full price of the pizza and not with price on the special offering. The pizza itself was very very raw and wasn't tasty. thank you for the service during our stay. we hope to visit again soon. Yaniv and Limor

« Beautiful resort, but service is lacking in key areas »

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay, but the customer service lacked in some key areas: Daily room tidying - this was appalling, most days our room was not made up until 5-6pm and on numerous times had to be requested. Each day, when the room was made up, one of the following happened, our beach towels were taken away and not replaced, our large bathroom towels were taken away and not replaced, no hand towels whatsoever. Our room safe ran out of batteries, so we could not lock any valuables away. It took 3 days and 5 requests to the main reception, and 4 different sets of people, to replace a battery in a safe. The restaurant staff and beach bar staff were extremely uncoordinated, and although I know they were doing their very best, the lack of clear English meant that orders were constantly wrong and the length of time it took to make drink and food orders made our experience unpleasant. Finally, mid-week we got a fairly blunt letter stating that we had gone over the deposit limit we had placed on our room for the week. We put down the requested deposit upon check-in, yet the letter was very demanding and wasn't very nice to receive mid-stay.

« Happy with accomodation and facilities. »

We found the accommodation and the facilities at the Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway very good. The only issue we had was with room cleaning/make up and the changing of towels. On a couple of occasions not servicing of the room was carried out and on a number of occasions we had to ask for clean towels which was a little disappointing.

I was staying in one of the oceanview room where there was an old and very yellow jacuzzi. It was not so inviting to use it and we felt that we overpaid for the stay.

We stayed in pool access room which was great as we have 2 children. Room was clean and spacious. Beach bar was stylish. Great location, the hotel is surrounded by the forest. Staffs were real friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Everything was fine, I liked staff and their attention. I was very pleased by upgrade my room for a member of loyalty program. But your beach needs a serious renovation. Every day to go by taxi to another beach is not convenient. This factor will make me seriously think about hotel for the next visit to Koh Chang.

This is second time of me to stay here. Every staffs had services mind. Every thing here perfect. I intend to travel to Koh Chang and stay at Mercure at least 1 time per year. Ah! I really appreciated the bartender on Karaoke room so much. He's so friendly and entertain me and my boyfriend. He made that night so much fun. Thanks for the all services.

« Nice Resort »

Mercure Hideaway is a very nice resort. The buildings, room, pool areas is very nice and they have a private beach. Was staying at a room with direct pool access on the ground floor. THe resort is nice for walking around in it and also the area around is nice for walking on the beach.

Very good Location, Nice Resort. Compared to other Resorts in Thailand: a very good Restaurant with friendly staff and a very very good Cook, for both, Thai and Western Food. Room was OK, we expected more for the price.

Well, I expected a litlle bit more from the hotel. Rooms: first we received an upgrated room, that was comfortable, big, nice view from the balcony. On our second reservation we received the Standard room what we reserved. A room with the view of the aircondition generator wall, a room without any possibility to make some fresh air, a room with an musty smell. So uncomfortable... Pool was ok, but it should have separate part for adults and kids. Soo loud if any family around. Buffet dinner: bad. Sour grill meats, poor offer . Dinner started at 6 pm. At 7 pm, was empty. I ordered white wine, received a red one. During the day, nobody knew exectly what will they offer during the buffet.
