We got the superior room and it was AMAZING. Very cheap for what you get. This place makes me not want to stay at any other hotels ever again. We got great deal, thats true. But i checked their normal prices and they arent crazy too. Standard rooms dont look very tempting, however, as they are on the buildings whereas we have our own garden and very private suite in our superior room located seperately from all the buildings for just a couple hundred baht added. Well worth the money. Will definitely return as i have alrdy included this place in my list of favorite hideaway hotels.

I booked 2 rooms, but it ready only 1 and in the room not really ready. Towel and pillow sheet still missing. I'm so boring and go to beach bar to get welcome drink. Staff at beach bar very friendly and make me feel a bit better. At night, we order room service 4 meal include ice. All come fast and they give me more bucket for wine cooler.

The location is beautiful, a true hideaway from all the fuzz with some nice views and a lovely village around the corner. At first sight the resort looks very good, but in detail we had not had the best of luck with our pool villa. As we came in it looked a bit dirty, the curtains were all rotten and the first day both the jacuzzi and hot water were not working. Not a great start of our holiday. The next day complained about it, got the offer to have the same villa type somewhere else on the park but as we did not wanted to move everything again we stayed in the same villa. I asked if a compensation or maybe a free diner would be possible, this would be discussed with the manager. Unfortunately, never heard anything again. Later this day, the jacuzzi was again not working and on top of that at night some creature (probably a rat) was eating its way through the cupboard. When the next morning somebody came to check it, we were offered the same villa type, another number, again and this time we agreed upon as we were not comfortable in this villa anymore. Any compensation? Oh yes, 2 free drinks! Other issues: when our family came over and booked rooms with some extra beds in it, it appeared to be that the extra bed guest did not have the right on the same breakfast buffet. Instead a breakfast menu was offered or +40 thai bath for the buffet. Now, I understand rules are rules but making problems over 40 thai bath is pathetic. Your hotel should better offer the same breakfast buffet with the extra bed price, then there would be no discussion. To make it even more weird, at day 4 of our stay there was no extensive breakfast buffet at all. Probably due to low amount of customers (it was low season). Yes, the hotel is at a beautiful location. And although the beach/sea in front of the resort is full of stones (making it fairly impossible to swim), the views are great. The food in the resort is good, too expensive as in most resorts, but good quality. The staff is friendly but the pool villa we booked was very upsetting and even more upsetting was the way the front desk dealt with it. An upgrade or any other form of compensation would have been nice, instead we got 2 free drinks and hardly any apologies. This made our stay not as fun as it could be and it became one of the worst experiences for me during all these years I have been coming to Thailand now. The most upsetting thing is that my complaints seemed not to be taken seriously. A fail for a 4-start resort I would say. I'm very sorry to say that for me this was the last time for this resort or any other Mercure resort ever.

« A nice weekend away »

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time during our stay on Koh Chang. The staff were polite and very helpful at all times. The room was very clean and well presented. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've had from a hotel. I can't think of anything that would need improvement.

« 3 Star NOT 4 Star »

This was at Low season, so we Think that the Hotel was only Working at halv capacity, the first night we couldn't not sleep cos of the karaoke, that said it closes at midnight, but it kept on til 3 o'clock at night, when we ask the following day we where told it was the hotel manager / owner of the Hotel, this happened the following day again, after I had to go down and complain, we then got a opgrad and a room further away, but you can still hear the karaoke. The breakfast is very bad, and you have to pay ekstra for latte and tea, so we would propose to go out to eat, the room cleaning comes and wakes you up everyday around 10 o'clock even you try to explain that that should come after lunch. So all in all it wasn't the best experience we have had at a hotel we stay for 8 nights and that was 8 nights to long, sorry to say

I booked Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway for celebrations of anniversary with my couple. The first impression of me was the online admin that I contact by line and email was very nice. They give me any information even early in the evening they still give me an answer, help me anything I need from them and other. Besides this I reserved the side sea dinner also and I very appreciated all staff because I saw that they intended to did the impressive and the best dinner for us. Everyone excited about my dinner since this is the rainy season so, if it raining, the dinner need to move at balcony instead. T_T But finally! they can set the side sea dinner for us and they did very well and It was great. I feel really love it. I found the nice view, I had the delicious dinner and I got the best services. I don't know how to explain our deep feeling of me and my couple about the special time in here. If I have a chance to go to Koh Chang I still choose the Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway for vacation of course!

« Great Day in Koh Chang Island. »

The sea view room with close access to the poll was very nice, it help us to see the kids swimming from our balcony. The beach also very nice but the wild dog on the beach was a but disturbing especially for us who have small kids . At some time the dog also reach our balcony. Hope the hotel management will solve this wild solve this dog problem. The room services was very good and the overall services ( Restaurant and front dest ) was excellent

I went to Mercure Koh Chang for relaxing. I got the beautiful experience with there. Nice service even I bought it by low price promotion. Food almost delicious. Some details needed to take care more such as glass still have lipstick or toilet not so clean at the each conner.

We had a great holiday time at this hotel. We were gotten a upgrade room with sea view and it was a nice room. We could spent whole day at the hotel because there are many facilities to do. Moreover the staffs are excellent service mind.We will back again in next holiday.
