Mercure Hideaway is a very nice resort. The buildings, room, pool areas is very nice and they have a private beach. Was staying at a room with direct pool access on the ground floor. THe resort is nice for walking around in it and also the area around is nice for walking on the beach.

Very good Location, Nice Resort. Compared to other Resorts in Thailand: a very good Restaurant with friendly staff and a very very good Cook, for both, Thai and Western Food. Room was OK, we expected more for the price.

Well, I expected a litlle bit more from the hotel. Rooms: first we received an upgrated room, that was comfortable, big, nice view from the balcony. On our second reservation we received the Standard room what we reserved. A room with the view of the aircondition generator wall, a room without any possibility to make some fresh air, a room with an musty smell. So uncomfortable... Pool was ok, but it should have separate part for adults and kids. Soo loud if any family around. Buffet dinner: bad. Sour grill meats, poor offer . Dinner started at 6 pm. At 7 pm, was empty. I ordered white wine, received a red one. During the day, nobody knew exectly what will they offer during the buffet.

Very nice place and private ... beautiful sunset, pool and food. Relax and chilling with massage on the beach. Buffet breakfast and dinner all so good. Room services are nice and always support. The room is very huge and nice for sleep.

« Hotel needs rework. Overpriced. »

Hotel rooms are pretty worn out. Need some rework. Bathroom with walls covered with some mold. We also had ants running thru the room - but this looks to be pretty normal on Koh Chang, same in next stays in other hotels. Swimmng pool was clean, the staff was top notch - just the place itslef makes me look for other stays next time. The beach was greatest disappointment - bad smell, not even nice, much nicer beaches are Kai Bae or White Sands. If one want's to go out for food there are 2 choices - either on wheels(taxi each way) to Kai Bae(or further) or by foot few curves for some restaurants - not a great variety though.

« Second time here »

Thank you Khun Nert Reservation and Khun Tom They are very warm welcome to hotel and all lovely staff too , for this time we spend this hotel for 8 nights it was wonderful holiday, quite, nice to relax also our breakfast was very good. We are very enjoyed and thank you for Khun Aun for good taking care , he very friendly and helpful run away all day to serve all customers. That why many guest like her and always looking for her to talk and service but some staff just standing at front of the beach bar just talk and play telephone. But anyway if I have a chance I will visit this place again

« Great Hotel with staff issues »

Hotel was lovely, however the cleaning staff leave a lot to be desired, on our arrival we were shown to a room with steps at the entrance which was very dark, we commented on it and the man who escorted us to the room, said broken, he would report. Two days later we reported it ourselves and it was fixed immediately. On our first day we were out by our pool when the cleaners came, they were in our room literally 3 minutes, they made the bed and washed the sink, they took our towels away and didn't replace them or the door mats. There were crumbs on the table, that was not even wiped and coffee stains near the kettle. no attempt was made to wash the floor or clean the pool area in any way despite it having rained overnight and there being a lot of debris in the garden area. Following our complaint the room was cleaned satisfactorily after that. The breakfast is really overpriced for Thailand, they are charging European prices in a different market. Also, whilst I have no objection to a hotel taking a swipe of my credit card as security, I have never stayed anywhere before that took the money and then informed me on checkout that it would take 7-14 days to return! Despite the above, this is a nice hotel with good rooms, our pool room was large and comfortable. The hotel is slightly out of town, there are a number of good local eateries close by but you need to get a taxi or hire a car or scooter to get to any attractions etc. Allow plenty of time if you have a car when you leave the island by ferry as it is very busy and you may have to wait for 2 or 3 ferries before you get on.

« Great private beach and loved the balcony »

We stayed in a room with a balcony facing the sea, and had amazing view. We also loved spacious balcony with a swinging chair hanging from the ceiling - kids loved it! Hotel's private beach was quite, clean with fine sand. Hotel's swimming pool and the spa was great too. The hotel is located further south of Koh Chang, away from all the noise, and we just loved it. We look forward to staying there again!

« The pool villa was great, the standard room was terrible »

The pool villa was lovely - beautiful garden, decor and comfy bed. We had one night in a standard room - it was horrible. The bed was so firm I had to sleep on the couch and both my partner and I had back pain the next day.

« Dirty beach at an unkempt hotel »

The amenities at the hotel felt unkempt. The pool looked green and extremely dirty. As well as the beach. Since it is a private beach for the hotel it feels natural that there should be some cleaning people to get rid of the plastic bottles and cigarette buds on the sand. The happy-hour cocktails had completely different taste than the regular cocktails, and were so low on alcohol that were practically children-safe. The staff at the pool bar were very slow on taking your order even though there were 2 or 3 tables with people. The bedding had this awful smell of mold.

« Off to Heavens »

We got the superior room and it was AMAZING. Very cheap for what you get. This place makes me not want to stay at any other hotels ever again. We got great deal, thats true. But i checked their normal prices and they arent crazy too. Standard rooms dont look very tempting, however, as they are on the buildings whereas we have our own garden and very private suite in our superior room located seperately from all the buildings for just a couple hundred baht added. Well worth the money. Will definitely return as i have alrdy included this place in my list of favorite hideaway hotels.
