Lovely hotel, very good food. Helpful reception staff. Lovely pool. Slow to clean room, out all day and room still not done by 5 pm so had to just ask for clean towels. Our room smelt damp, but it was very rainy when we were there!

« A WELL LOCATED MODERN HOTEL BUT SERIOUS SHORTCOMINGS. OVERALL I AM NOT IMPRESSED. »

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in March 2019. I am an Accor member and made the reservation months earlier on the basis of full payment which was non-refundable. On checking-in I was obliged to pay for my stay. I went to my room and checked my computer and sure enough the Accor website stated that I had paid in full. I went back to reception and queried the discrepancy. I was told that I had not paid despite what the website said. It was hotel policy not to charge as overseas visitors are taxed differently. The receptionist Vanesa was extremely polite and helpful. None of this was her fault. Accor that is very confusing and it leads to controversy. I had asked for a quiet room on a high floor. I was allocated room 147 which is on a lower floor. It was a well-furnished room with complimentary w-fi that had good speed. My sleep was disturbed just after 3am when I heard voices from the adjoining room. There is insufficient sound proofing. They eventually left at 5am but my night was ruined. The room was large and the window faced jungle. The television had a lot of channels but none in English. Not even a news channel. Very disappointing! I had no free bottled water. I went to reception and queried this. At first I was told that only suites got water. The receptionist then came after me and apologised and said that superior room guests were entitled to 2 bottles of water Shortly I received my water. I decided to enjoy a hot drink. There were numerous types of tea and 2 coffee bags but no powdered milk. I went back to reception where I was informed that in the region people did not use milk in their beverage. That may be true but most people do. About 15 minutes later I was given a pot of hot milk! I went for breakfast shortly after 6am. The juices had not had the name tags attached yet. The hot buffet food was very disappointing. The choice was limited to scrambled egg, sausage pieces and mixed peppers and onions. I took some of the latter 2. They were barely warm. I left them and selected some cold meat and cheese. Not what I have come to expect in a 4 star hotel. On returning to the hotel I found that yet again I had no water and only 1 coffee bag. Vanesa soon rectified the issue. At breakfast on my last day there were no scrambled eggs. A waiter said that they would be there soon. An agent for a tour company informed all in the restaurant that omelettes and eggs could be cooked to order. What a pity that there is no information from the hotel about this. The waiters do not tell you, I believe it is deliberate policy to give the restaurant staff an easier life. I am not impressed.

Check in staff were all very helpful and have excellent guest relations. Everyone was helpful. Alto ung we have already checked out Roberto offered that we can shower after our Iguazu Falls tour before we leave for the airport, our flight was delayed and we did not get to BA till 1 am. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that made our 24 hrs Iguazu trip (March 5-6, 2019)

Hi Our stay at Mercure was great and there was nothing that wasn't to our liking. Rooms good and comfortable. Views from room amazing. Restaurant and bar food was really good quality and reasonable in price. Used the spa services twice and again was great and reasonable value. Only 2 things I would like to mention: Gym - needs upgrading. Some machines are old and dangerous as parts were loose. Service - the service in the restaurant and bar was very slow. Constantly asking for attention.

Room was great however the smell from the AC has polluted all our clothes and suitcases leaving all with a damp smell that will not go unless the items are washed. Our cases are damaged because of this. Food was good but service in the hotel was really slow

We stayed at the Mercure Iguazu as a resting place for our trip to the falls. It was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very comfortable, the dining room is excellent and the front desk staff are very helpful. It also has a pool which is very, very useful on the hot days such as we exoerienced.

Very nice hotel with modern design in the jungles. Rooms are big, cosy and clean, have balcony. Restaurant food is very delicious and the service is on the high level! We should highly recommend staying here for the lovely vacations in Iguasu!

I would have loved to have stayed longer to make use of everything available, but really enjoyed our room with a comfortable bed, delicious meals and our surroundings. Staff were helpful and accommodating when we needed something printed and restaurant staff were friendly and humorous.
