I found the restaurant staff to be very friendly during breakfast and the check in staff were exceptional. There are a couple of things that I would like to highlight. The housekeeping of the room was not consistent. I found that two days in a row my room was not serviced when I put the sign outside the door, the note pad had been used by the previous guest and a couple of the drinks in the minibar were dirty and one of them had a rice grain wedged in between the drinking area. I was very dismayed to find that on checkin I was informed that I would need to make a deposit which was fine however I was not informed that this was placed on hold and then had to make a payment on checkout. I had by the time used the majority of money and had I been informed then this situation wouldn't have been an issue. I was also issued with a potential fine for smoking in the room which I do not smoke, again attention to detail not being made by assigning the accusation to the wrong room. The breakfast manager in the black suit I found to be very unwelcome and not discreet in his dismay when I asked to continue my breakfast in my room. I do feel that if I am paying for the food and the majority of accor hotels allow this I found it quite shocking this was not allowed at this hotel especially with room service being available. The last thing that left a bitter taste in my mouth was when I was kindly offered a tour with chauffeur card to some of the most beautiful temples and floating market. I was told a set price however was not told that the floating market was going to cost between 3000-6000 baht, again had I known I would have avoided this however when asked at booking stage for the tour how much the market would cost this was not answered. Unfortunately this left me very upset on checkout and I expected better.

I am sorry to learn that the stay was disappointed, main reason was because of the arrival experience, room cleanliness and the services at breakfast. I am very much concerned to learn that the Tour operator did not provided you with full detailed of your excursion. Providing the comfort and memorable experiences is what we are aiming to provide, however what you have experienced was definitely not our service standard. These have been shared with our management team, who will provide appropriate training in order to provide the best possible stay experience to you in the future visit. You are a valued guest at Mercure Bangkok Makkasan and we hope to demonstrate the improvements that will be made by having the opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights during October 2019. The hotel is excellent in terms of its location and food and beverage offered during the breakfast buffet. It is well connected via Airport Metro Link. The shuttle service for Airport Metro Station is added advantage to reach the hotel.

Service from Hotel Staff and the room were great. Unfortunately, the location of the hotel is very bad. Although the hotel is only 5 mins walk from the train station; however, guests need to cross a railway and a busy road, including passing those rocks and grass along the railway, without any traffic lights or any other traffic infrastructure, unless guests access the hotel by the road. Anyway, it's not the problem of the hotel itself.

Stay was ok. Enjoyed the food but portion was very small. This hotel location is not good. It’s far from any shops and hardly and tuk tuk would even go past. Staff were ok at time and rude at times. It’s nice little rooms. Not a great place. Better options out there.

I have emailed with the feedback, I got a reply back with which I wasn’t satisfied so I replied back but have not heard back. The lack of empathy was startling and if that’s how a platinum member is treated, then I’m shocked. I was ill and had to spend a lot of time arguing with two separate employees to get water as the policy is 2 bottles per room!!! No one mentioned this earlier. I only got water after I said that I’ll pay ( thankfully I wasn’t charged but it has left a really bad taste in my mouth). Other simple things were that when I asked if there is a doctor in house, the answer was just ‘no’ without trying to understand what was wrong with me. Overall the lack of service and attitude was astonishing. I was promised a call by someone from management which obviously did not happen. It’s a shame as the hotel is in ideal location for my work trips (I spend 3-4 days a month in Bangkok), but now I’ll just stay at a different hotel. Nice location and rooms but I’ll never stay there again

Have chosen this hotel due to the short distance to Makkasan Airport Link station. Thought that just a few minutes walk. But when arrived, notice that there is no walk way to access. Also, no idea where to get the hotel free shuttle. Finally, drag my luggage bag (luckily it is a small one) and walk for around 15 mintues there. Hotel room cleaning need improvement.

I really enjoy when I travel to Bkk and stay a Mercure Makkasan this 4ningts. Before I travel to bkk, I already do a quick search for this hotel. This hotel is really near to the Airport Link (only 5stations to Suvarnabhumi airport from Makkasan) This is a good choice if you don’t want to meet the traffic jams, can try to find the hotel near Airport Link. And I know they provide a shuttle service once you reach Phetchaburi Station(MRT) Exit 3 . Is only 5min walking distance to the Phetchaburi station. This station is connect together with Airport Link Makkasan. When I reach Phetchaburi Station and I called the hotel to ask for shuttle service. This is the 2nd time I came to bkk and is also is the first time I do a solo trip. When I ask for the shuttle service actually I dun know where is the places when the staff was told me. Cos I first time travel to this place. But they really patient and friendly to explain to me. I get a high floor for my room and the view is amazing. The room was clean and the bed is really comfortable. The staff over that was so sweet (2 male staff, I forgot to ask for the name. But I known one of the staff is off on 29th sep) They mention to me. For my safety, if at night I want to come back to the hotel (if I never take grab or taxi). Please call hotel and ask for the shuttle service once I reach Phetchaburi Station. I DEFINITELY WILL VISIT AGAIN FOR MY NEXT TRIP TO BKK. THANK YOU FOR BRING A GOOD MEMORY TO ME WHEN I STAY AT BKK. I REALLY ENJOY IT.

Nice Hotel but not a lot around outside and drinks are very expensive to buy there. Complimentary taxi service to and from hotel to train station is good but needs to be as nothing to do outside hotel.
