« Nice "Hardware" but no "software"!! »

I was looking forward to staying at this property however was disappointed on several fronts, upon check-in my girlfriend checked in but we were not upgraded to the Executive Rooms even though as Gold Accor Members this should be a given if a room is available, down to a lack of understanding/training. Next we tried the Wine Bar, took 45 mins for Tapas to arrive and we were the only guests in the bar at the time!!! Disappointing especially how hungry we were! And finally upon check out, the front reception didn't recognize the Accor voucher for 300 discount which should be presented upon bill settlement, even after asking the manager, they were confused so not until I pressed the issue did this simple transaction go through. My comment to the GM, Mourad Brahmi, I would be happy to come and train your staff on the Accor Plus program and benefits, after having stayed at 50 plus Accor properties this was a very disappointing experience for a loyal member.....as the title suggests, hotel itself looks and feels great, just needs some real training on all fronts!!!

« Far from station, not yet settle a good team staff »

Hotel is far from the sky train station. Even hotel has shuttle service from hotel to MRT but closed very early. Hotel also provide shuttle from hotel to Central word shopping center but from 10 am to 6.30 pm. only. Staffs are not 100% service mind. room is small if compare to another Mercure hotel in a better location. I asked a help from front desk for computer details but they seems not to inrerest to give any help at all. I will not go back for this hotel again.

« Unacceptable.... »

Hotel new and clean.... that's is.... ground staffs (except front desk) bad, water pressure for shower low, and because of the location is not so good, transport to MRT station is important, but the 'tuk tuk' was parked there for decoration.... always no driver and couldn't accommodate to what we requested.... horrible experience

« Great staying »

The bed is big & comfy, room is spacious n well organized. Bad part is the yellow lighting is not in favour to make up Toilet is clean, but bad air circulation. The urination smell is quite strong Apart from that, there's no place to hang clothing in the shower They have good concierge service, but infomation from reception is poor, when we ask about the direction to MRT station, they never informed the hotel actually have free TukTuk service from 7am-7pm The charges at the outsourced Taxi service is absolutely absurd, we called a taxi from hotel to the nearest MRT station, which Phetchaburi station, it takes less than 5min drive and they charged us at 50 Thai Baht, n even drop us in the middle of the road😞 ( we tried if go by meter is around 35-40 Thai Baht) If u r staying here like 3 person n above, I'd suggest to call a taxi when traveling as the total MRT & BTS or skyline fare is equivalent to a taxi fare. Overall it was a pleasant stay as I feel I'm home, it's completely worthy.

« The hotel is ok but the location is not »

The hotel facilities are all new and the staff is good in servicing, but sad to say that, the hotel is located in the middle of no where, there isn't anything you can do unless you have your own transport, nothing to do around the hotel at all.

The hotel has a very security CC TV coverage, i lost my mobile which was left in the lobby and because there was not CC TV coverage we could not find out who took the mobile. I will not recommend this hotel to any one again. there are lot of blind spots in the hotel which are not covered by CC TV cameras. I suffered a big loss by losing by Samsung Note 5 mobile. i have spoken to the security officer but I don't think any thing has been done.

« Stay at the new Mercure Bangkok Makkasan »

Overall, since the Mercure Bangkok Makkasan Hotel is new, the room was beautiful and the beddings were confortable. The location is near to the Airport Rail Link station of Makkasan but for the first timers like us, It might as well be in Timbuktu. We had a difficult time searching for the hotel until, in exasperation, we took a tuk tuk (and paid Bhat 100) to be taken to the hotel. The hotel is isolated and far from any shopping centres or entertaintment. The interior ambience, however, is very welcoming and eye catching. The breakfast was sumptious and had a good spread but there was no beef. Overall we can only give it an average rating when you compare the interior oppulance to the deserted exterior. Next time, we will stay at the IBIS or Mercure near MBK.

« New Hotel with good service »

everything's is fine, from front desk to house keeping, all job went done. Have dinner at the restaurant, need to wait for long time, finish my dinner in 1.5 hours. water in the room was not enough, should have 4 blotter, there are no where to buy my own water near by, I'm very heavy water drinker.

« new and stylish, but location not ideal »

The hotel is located quite close to airport link's Makkasan station, however, it is badly connected to it. The hotel shuttle does only bring you close to Petchaburi MRT. For Makkasan station you still have to walk a bit, which is quite unconvenient if you are on the way to the airport and have luggage with you. On the day of our departure, we asked the shuttle bus driver to drop us directly at Makkasan, but he refused, though it would have required just a small effort from him. There is definitely room for improvement. On a positive note, the hotel is brand new (opened in April 2017), stylish and with a small, but beautiful pool area. Staff are friendly and helpful (especially Ms. Prae at breakfast buffet), just with exception of the shuttle driver on duty on the morning of 29 April.

« Brand new hotel with wonderful staff »

A modern brand new hotel, pretty room, excellent bed, nice swimming pool. The most appreciated thing is the excellent service of hotel staffs, they are all very nice and helpful. The swimming pool is good. There's a Tuk Tuk service taking guests to train station. My husband and I enjoyed a great dinner buffet on our 1st night stayed here (14Apr Fri), there were delicious food, "oysters and shrimps boat", sushi, various types of dishes and desserts. We sat at a table next to a sweet family who advised us where to go nearby, and luckily we met the gentleman again on the 3rd day morning while enjoying our breakfast buffet, who introduced himself is the General Manager in this hotel. We felt how the sincere straight from the heart services by the management and general staffs. Thank you all!

« Better then the first impression »

I booked this since it was 1 of 2 new Mercure hotels in Bangkok and I wanted to try it. I knew it was a just opened hotel so I was aware that it could be some hicksups. Arrived with Taxi and the hotel is located very near the Airport Rail Link Makkasan. The hotel is not in walking distance to anything else then the Airport link station. So you would need a taxi which may not be so easy to get, but this is something the hotel managment is aware of and is trying to fix so this will get better, also taxi's do not yet look for customers at this location since it is a brand new hotel from scratch. The locations is not to bad, it is better then it looks. From Asoke it is very easy and from lower Sukhumvit it is a bit more tricky, but the taxi price is about 45THB So not bad at all. When it comes to the hotel it is as I mentioned a brand new building and have a groundfloor concierge and the lobby is located at the 8th floor. 5 lifts make it easy to go up and down. The lobby is very nice and has a nice sitting area, there is also a very nice restaurant located near the lobby. I was waking up very late so I didn't check out the breakfast, but was hungry so I ordered a burger and is was very good, and I can eat a lot of food, but this burger was to much so I couldn't eat all even if it was very good. The room itself was very nice. I had a chat with the Executive Chief and he had a long list of hotel background and was ful of knowledge. I also met the Hotel Manager and the assitant manager all of them was very concerned about the experience I where having. The swimming pool is nice and have a nice group of chairs around the pool bar. The room I got was modern and nice, but I not sure if I like the open bathroom solution, there is something about sitting in the toilet when there is another person in the room and there is only a frostglass door with opening at the top. Also there is not much places to hang towels etc. So they hang together and stays wet very long. The bed was good, the room have a nice sofa. Nice desk and all you need. The view from the room I had was great with pool view and also a green lounge before a part of the Bangkok Skyline is there between the trees and the skies. Will I stay there again? Yes I think so. Right now the price is very good, but if you are a platinum card holder check out the price difference between this hotel and Novotel S20/Ploenchit for maybe a better value for your money. But this is a good value!

« Nice new hotel in owful location »

(+) Brand new hotel, pretty room, excellent bed, nice roof pool. (-) Extramely uncomfortable location - there is now walking way from MRT or ARL. No food and no shopping outside and around. No back street access.

« The Great hotel next to Airport Link - Makasan »

This is the newly open for Mercure hotel in Bangkok which is located next to Makkasan airport link station (opposite). The station of subway is in a walking distance (about 10 mins) but the hotel also has a tricycle(TUK-TUK) for free transfer too. The facility of hotel is perfect with the great service and smile of all staff(s).
