Room door slammed and a large panel dropped to the floor under the washbasin. No heating,, no heated towel rail. An inadequate electric heater finally supplied. Staff friendly and helpful. Food fairly good.

The room was too hot and had thick bedding & heavy pillows so this made the temperature difficult to manage and therefore made the night uncomfortable. The noise from the wedding disco & bar downstairs meant we couldnt sleep for over 2 hours after going to the room and we were woken up at around 6am the following day due to staff noise in the bar. Disappointing end to a nice wedding in an otherwise enjoyable venue... But with hindsight I wish we had driven home rather than spending £145 to stay and not even get any sleep.

Comfortable stay, very quiet room which was great following a hard day at work. The room was a very dark room, with very poor lighting. Other than that a good stay at a very reasonable price. Reception offered to carry a bag to my room which although I did not take him up on the offer was a very nice gesture. Discreet check in with no call out of my room number don't often get that these days. Also on check out there was a conversation between hotel team about a guest that was unwell and no names were discussed just room number again I thought this was great not disclosing any personal details for people to over hear.

Staff were very accommodating and gave us excellent service throughout our stay. They worked really hard throughout the day and evening to make our daughters wedding a happy and successful day. They allowed us time to set up the function room just as our daughter wished and did not pressure us to leave the next morning. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you

« A friendly but tired hotel »

I was located in one of the ground floor accessible rooms. Not really my choice, but they told me they couldn't move me. I was also a bit frustrated that the website said there was a gym and there wasn't. The staff were certainly friendly and that was nice, but the hotel is rather sad and tired which is sad. It is certainly a lovely setting so its a shame that little investment has been made over the years

A tired hotel that needs a bit of TLC. We got a room with a shower that didn't work, that seemed to have been known about. Nice friendly staff made up for the experience.

My experience from being at the hotel was amazing. I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner overall. The staff was amazing especially Laura & Danielle who helped with a suitcase situation. I felt very safe and comfortable.

Firstly, we would like to say that from a staff and service point of view we cannot fault the attention and service we received. However, we were disappointed in what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, although we can see that there has been some improvements made there were broken floor tiles in our bedroom and bathroom, there was no safe in the bedroom and only left 2 tea bags each day!!! The hotel itself needs a makeover, although the old manor house looks great it needs to be maintained and it actually looked neglected. The main thing that absolutely ruined our few days was the lack of thought when allocating our bedroom. We arrived early hours of Thursday morning and have a lovely relaxing day but on Thursday night a wedding party and guests arrived for a wedding that was taking place on Friday, that's fine - but we were in the bedroom between two large suites that were occupied by two families with children and the room above us also was occupied by a family from the wedding party, we constantly had noisy, boystrous children and loud family members from early evening and all the next day and night, it was horrendous, what was supposed to be a very few day break for us turned out to be a nightmare! Then on Friday night there was another wedding party turn up occupying exactly the same rooms and had the same scenario on Friday night and Saturday morning - totally ruined our stay. My partner and i have a property management business in Fuerteventura and we cannot have holidays together due to one of us having to stay behind. This was a few days break before we attended our sons wedding locally to Burton and were very disappointed that our first break together in 3.5 years was ruined and actually didn't need too be if the allocation of rooms had been thought through more carefully! Not happy!
