« Very pleasant stay. »

Hotel amenities ok. Décor very dark and drab. Bathroom sink too small. Had difficulty filling the kettle with water as could not get under the tap easily.

« Disappointed. »

Disappointed with having to pay for parking. Went to my room, swipe card did not work therfore had to go back to reception and wait in a que to get it activated. Went back to the room and found that I had been giving a room without a river view. Again had to go to reception to get the room changed as I had paid extra for a room with a river view. Went for breakfast the following morning. Your notice clearly states please wait to be seated. Waited for around 5 minutes when a member of your team came and asked what was our room number and had we had breakfast hear before. We gave our room number and said we had not had breakfast hear before. Your member of staff started pointing ware we could get breakfast then pointed to a table that we could sit at. Very unprofessional. I would have thought I would have been taking to our table then showing around. Very unprofessional for the cost of staying in your hotel. What really surprised me was ...As I was looking forward to a Scottish breakfast. You serve Cumberland sausage rather than squire sausage. Think you should review what's available. As I did not have a Scottish breakfast.

« Pleasant stay »

Great decor - sense of place. Done the best inside with a very ugly building! Felt the entrance via car park could be improved & cleaner. Good room but in need of decoration. We had dinner on first night as part of package but general confusion amongst staff as we couldn't eat in the restaurant because of a large party so restaurant closed - ate in bar and food was good. Staff didn't speak particularly good English so added to confusion about where we could have dinner & how much our allowance was. Long wait for food because of large part in restaurant. Breakfast not so good - food cold

It was a very nice hotel. The room was modern and clean. My only complaint was the loud bar across the street

Great location. Nice room. At the front which made it noisy on a Saturday night.

« Not good value for money  »

Reception under managed during peak checking in time. Those not staying in privakage suits are made to feel less appreciated. Ordered food and waited a while but I tha time what seemed like the manager sat two guests down and serviced them specially which made all around feel out as and Not enough tables in bar for dining. Not worth the money at all. Room nice but £100 odd a night and nothing special. Won't advice to colleagues staying

« Some good, some very bad »

First of all, I have to say that all staff I met were courteous and professional in every way. I have stayed at the Ardoe, Aberdeen before and sent a very pleasant review to the manager which I’m sure they still have so you’ll be able to see that I’m not akin to writing poor reviews. Unfortunately this is not the case with this review. Our arrival and check in went well and reception staff were friendly and helpful. We headed off to room 114, up in the lift then down the corridor. To the very end. I’m sure I mentioned when booking that I am disabled, a wheelchair user. Now I suggest you place yourself in a wheelchair and see how difficult it is to travel on a carpet. A lot of friction. And then to find out the room is at the end of a long corridor. I was really tired when I reached the room. Please try the same journey in a wheelchair. Now the room was clean and tidy, everything you need, apart from windows. The only windows were 6 feet up and only about 12 inches deep. With frosted glass. Like being in a cell, very claustrophobic. Then the bathroom. There was no seat for a shower and one of those plastic wrap around shower curtains. Let me stress again though that all staff we met were so professional.

« Brief but enjoyable. »

Just an overnight stay, however very enjoyable. Bistro was comfortable and tasty. Some erroneous charges at check out quickly dealt with, and we were allowed to stay in the car park while we looked & shopped around town before leaving.

« Pleasant Hotel »

Room was modern and clean. Great double bed. Bathroom very good. Only one easy chair in a double room doesnt make sense. Tea/Coffee making facilitry was crazy. Shelf 60cm from floor and no socket for kettle except on floor or desk. Noise from street below may anoy some people.

« Poor »

Room was far too small and no breakfast was included in the £150 room fee. Car parking was included but it was impossible to find a space on Saturday night. Dinner was nice but I would not book again.

A bit disappointing after staying in Mercury in Warsaw. Bathroom poorly designed, no place for soap etc in shower. Bathroom cramped. No storage or place for suitcase in bedroom. Kettle sited where there is no plug available.

« mixed »

Staff were good. Breakfast was good. The hotel needs a facelift, the furniture looks tired. The restaurant was taken up by a wedding party and the bar was booked out, so it was not possible to get a meal the evening I arrived. I was woken at 4am by a noisy resident on the 5th floor who seem to have been locked out of his room and was banging on his door to be let in. The room was on the small side. At £225 for bed and breakfast, the price was too high for the standard of the accommodation.

« Ok hotel »

Hotel was ok sink in bathroom too small almost unusable why only one hand towel for two guests? Also total lack of power points it was hopeless in this day and age with only one usable single power point storage area / wardrobe very tatty where safe had previously been ripped out we were expecting a safe in a hotel like Mercure and surely a few complimentary biscuits with the tea and coffee isn't too much to ask for at almost £ 200 a night!

Pleasant except for the thin walls! Not nice to wake up to the person in the room next door vomiting at 2am!

« A little disappointing »

I had booked the room in May, we were in room 318 which was directly above the street and opposite the pub which traded for most of Saturday night, there were fights and arguments all night long in the street below and we got little to no sleep. Disappointing to have such a noisy room when booking was made early.

« Comfortable stay on five day business trip »

Comfortable room, but a little chilly at night as heating seemed to be off. Basin in bathroom too shallow - water splashed elsewhere! Excellent shower, good WiFi and choice of TV channels. Staff welcoming and nice breakfast every morning. Overall a good stay.
