« Very Disappointing »

I had booked x2 bedrooms (including the disabled one). The bathrooms in both rooms were not very clean (tilings outdated and not clean, shower heads had limescale on them). There was air conditioning in the rooms and when I asked the guy in reception for x2 fans, he phoned my room to say there were none available. We stayed at the hotel when the weather was really hot (ie: night of Sun 5th Aug 2018). The beds & pillows were comfortable though. At breakfast the next day (ie: Mon 6th Aug 2018) we had to wait a while before a member of staff came to serve us. The decor in the hotel (ie: reception & dining area) is very out of date & it needs to be revamped. Also I tried to book my x2 rooms online via your website, but your website kept crashing after I selected my rooms. In the end I had to speak to someone in your central reservations team. I was not very impressed with my stay because on your website the hotel looks really nice but in reality it is not, so your photos are misleading.

Great service. Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room great. Well appointed, decorated and clean. Good looking building. Good grounds and ample parking. Main areas clean. Perhaps a little dated. Great breakfast (and included in our stay). Good bar and restaurant food, although along with drinks a little expensive.

the room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, the only reason for not complaining at the time was that we had arrived gone midnight and a wedding party was just ending up. Two guests were having an ensuing argument which was loud enough to awaken my wife and the language being used was not pleasant.

We didn't enjoy ourselves at all. Check in took long. Our key stopped working several times so we had to keep coming back to reception to connect it to our room again. How hard is it to give us 2 working room key cards?! Absolutely awful breakfast - omelette had no taste and fruit had gone off!! There wasn't enough staff to accommodate our large group and we had to keep asking for cutlery and additional food items which took so long to arrive that we didn't even want it anymore! Wouldn't return - everything needs improving - definitely not worth the money we spent on the room.

This is our 4th visit. Rooms are nice . Dinner in restaurant ok. Service was excellent - really good as I think little understaffed. Breakfast disappointing , now a buffet style with machine coffee.

« Somewhat disappointed with the quality of the hotel and out of date business model with pricing but still had a pleasant stay for our 5th wedding anniversary. »

Most staff were very helpful and friendly especially the waitress who was at breakfast both days of our visit. However despite being in the large bridal suite the room and the rest of the hotel looked tired and needed refurbishment - especially when compared to Premier Inn hotels.

The hotel was understaffed and when we first arrived our room was without power for several hours. Breakfast was disappointing with a long wait again due to low staffing numbers. The staff there were clearlybtrying their best but can only be in so many places at once

Room was in need of refurbishment, it looked very tired. It was a wedding reception and the drinks at the bar were largely unavailable. The breakfast was poorly presented and poorly prepared, undercooked bacon, solid fried bread, visually off putting eggs and so on.

« Mostly satisfactory but the dining service hampered by presence of a large tour group »

Good sized, clean rooms with a range of fittings and a comfortable bed. Hotel was well located in its own grounds with ample parking. The public areas were looking a little tired and dated but the staff, in general, were very helpful. The dining experience fell short of our expectations because of the presence of a large foreign tour group which seemed to stretch the restaurant staff and the service for residents consequently suffered quite considerably. We had to get up early in the morning to avoid the same problems at breakfast.

The staff were helpful and friendly. A problem on arrival was well handled to our satisfaction. The hotel is very good but unfortunately suffers from a lack of detailed maintenance. eg rusty fittings, door catches missing chipped paint etc.

Good sized comfortable rooms. Nicely situated hotel in its own grounds. However, overall the public areas are looking a little tired and dated but the staff, in general, were very helpful. The dining experience would have been pleasant had it not been for a large foreign tour group that were there at the same time. The restaurant staff seemed stretched to cope with a group of this size and as a result the quality of the service for the residents who were dining at the same time suffered. Nonetheless, the food was excellent when it eventually arrived. We carefully managed the time of our breakfast to avoid the same problems but it did mean getting up early.

The room was not ready and the restaurant was over an hour late due to a wedding. The operation manager and two receptionists were extremely helpful, changed our rooms immediately and compensated us by offering us an evening meal, that was appreciated. However, we stayed at the same hotel last year and we felt as though it had deteriorated in terms of the finer details, lack of staff, and general appearance of the hotel. Staff were fantastic though and very friendly

Friendly staff greeted us on arrival, we had a Classic room which was spacious and clean including the bathroom. A filling cooked breakfast to start the day with plenty of options. Very quiet surrounding.
