« Old and tired hotel but still charging top note! »

Staff were pleasant and there was plenty of parking but bedrooms especially are old fashioned, badly furnished and very 80's!! Floorboards squeaked badly and everything seemed in need of renovation. Most gym equipment did not work but the food was good and service pleasant.

our stay was really good. the only things i would comment in is the complimentary white wine is vile and the swimming pool could do with an upgrade. apart from these 2 small things everything was great

I have stayed here a few times before. It is always a good experience although last time I was there the steam room was broken just like this time. The room we were in the floorboards were so loud when we walked we were scared to wake the other guests.

easy and quick check-in. All staff very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were of a good standard. Two minor quibbles 1) the beds are very uncomfortable and 2) the fried eggs in the morning were cooked to death and like rubber ( maybe left too long on the servery hot plat?)

Everything very good, although i found the hotel quite dated and some parts of the room and main hotel a bit dated and needing redone. The decor in the room was strange and curtains seemed old. No bath in room which i would have preferred. But overall service and food was great.

Warm friendly hotel. All members of the team here were smiling and welcoming. Lovely staff. The rooms are a little old looking and there was an insect in my bedroom but the bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in at any hotel. Perfect pillows too. Great nights sleep.

stayed in room 208 shower not working propably more com out of the tap than shower also floor is so noisey from bed to bathroom. bar area nice food good but pricey Pool area ok but steam room not working 3rd time here and this was most disapointed

All staff were very pleasant. The venue was clean. I had a pizza for my dinner which was better than I would expect from a hotel chain. Beer was a little high in price. The place is in need of a good lick of paint and a new carpet. I walked there from the train station and it was easy to access. It is a 2-3 minute walk from a large supermarket.

When we arrive the receptionist was not really welcoming, she was nice but it was nit a warm welcome that we get from other hotel that we stayed in. We paid extra £20 so we can stay a bit longer but she was telling us that we can only stay until 3pm which is wrong because on your website it says 6pm. The hotel it self is a little bit undated. Breakfast is lovely. We will give it another try when we are around the area.
