Room nice, breakfast plenty of choice. Problems with meal ordered in restaurant served cold steak pie, but resolved by very apologetic waiting staff. Asked for television to be returned as ITV3 was not available did not get done during our 3 night stay.

My room was above the bar, I know, I could hear every single conversation quite clearly. That and the spotlights shining on the front of the building and around the curtains didn't exactly make for an satisfying night's sleep. Staff were spot on though.

Toilet in the room was dirty as the sink and the bath tab was full of little hair from.the previous guest, very obvious that house keeping didnt clean and just changed the towels, room lock was broken and some furniture were broken which looks really bad

Easy check in, room clean and adequate except for missing hairdryer but this was quickly sorted out. Dinner and breakfast good. Point lost as bar service could have better and we asked at Dinner if we could order pudding as Chef had to get his bus !!! Not offended we found it funny but other guests might not !!!

A very good two days. The hotel is in an ideal situation at the front of a beautiful park and easy access into Leeds with a regular bus service from outside the hotel. Have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always had good service. Staff a very pleasant and obliging. The rooms although need updating are very comfortable, warm and immaculately clean. Overall a very nice couple of days at this hotel and will definitely return.

Ordered drinks which the waitress got wrong. Dinner was dry over cooked and we weren’t,t charged but would have preferred a good meal. Service was slow Limited sweets as chef had gone home. Turned up for breakfast to find chaos as 3 coach loads all told to come at 8 am. We gave up and left. My room was 219 and in the bathroom I cut my heel on a loose tile under the bath which was dangerous. Vase of dead daffodils behind the front desk ! Noise from wedding disco was clearly heard.

first impression was to be greeted with a dirty door, there was a wedding been held in the hotel and the first impression the guests would have was little care had been given to detail , the first room we were given was the wrong one however Dianne at reception could not do enough to help with changing the room . after we had been given the right room we went for a walk around the grounds the garden was well kept for the time of year .however the same cannot be said for the standards inside the hotel .the tables in the bar area were left with dirty plates for a long time with staff walking past several times and just looking at then .the cushions on the couches were all upside down and messy it would have taken the wondering staff 2 seconds to put them right and puff them up, the attention to detail is what makes your brand exceptional this is most definitely not present at this hotel .the corridor to the health spapool area was most definitely unacceptable dirty all the way , one couch in the middle of the corridor was covered in flaked off pain from the ceiling again it would have taken a member of staff 10 minuets to clean the whole place with a hoover and duster . the stairs were filthy and dusty the looked like the had not been hoovered in weeks .after collecting locker keys [a returnable deposit of £1] we had a swim and it was very nice clean changing rooms and nice pool area . when finished and returning the key we were not given our deposit back . i sat in the cafe area waiting for my fiance to finish ans=d the staff we taking among themselves loudly and i found the conversation highly offensive and appropriate when a hotel guest was present . The brassiere for dinner was a very nice young man that showed us to the table and explained the dinner menu and how it worked . i ordered off the main menu ceaser salad with chicken breast well it was no salad at all it was a plate of lettuce and a dry chicken Brest thrown on top .when he came to clear the table you could see that i hadn't eaten anything but i was not asked if all was OK or if anything was wrong .we returned to the bar area and the barman Roland was unfriendly very unprofessional he left the bar many many times with guests waiting for what i can only describe as he couldn't be bothered , we asked for drinks to be told it would take ages !!! we left the bar very unhappy and quite offended .this young man should not be the face of your hotel he would rather turn your clients away than smile and be happy . Breakfast we found it very easy and nice apart from yet again the cleanliness of the area and the waiters uniform was filthy i had to leave as i was putting me off my food ,the staff uniform i would think you have strict rules on but jeans trainers and dirty clothes are not part of it . on check out Dianne again was lovely and i mentioned the bar staff she said i was not the only person the mention him . the doors on leaving were still not cleaned . i would relish the opportunity to spend a few days in this hotel to iron out the little details i have told you about. i feel the staff are bringing your stands down and after staying in many of your hotels worldwide this one need some help to bring it up to your standard thank you Mrs c. room 224 07/04/18

Staff very friendly and professional Receptionist gave us a gd price for 2 nights stay as we were with a group booking . However due to a wedding event on both nights , we were kept awake until 1 am with loud music ! Our balcony was very dirty with lots of moss growing on it .

We stayed in a family room which was very dirty. From old crisps on the floor to a very dirty bathroom. We weren’t in the room much so it wasn’t so bad but cleanliness really should get looked at. The whole hotel needs abit of TLC. Breakfast was good, staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stayed in a priviliged room but didn't see the difference (apart from coffee machine) to any of the other rooms on the web site (maybe a bigger bed). The hall where you hold wedding/celebration nights could do with sound proofing as our room was warm & we had the windows open for some cool air & all we heard was the music till early in the morning. Some new mattress's would be nice as one side of our bed felt like you were rolling out of it. The cooked breakfast was cold considering we went down to eat at 08.10 & serving only started at 08.00am

Front of house staff, especially reception, were not very forthcoming, not particularly welcoming. On arrival, waited quite some time before anyone could find a receptionist, who upon her arrival, was not apologetic for peoples waiting time, as there were guests who were waiting before ourselves. Overall welcome was very poor, and when asking questions about facilities, it all seemed too much for a helpful answer. I had called earlier in the morning, to ask a few general questions and again, was greeted with a very unhelpful attitude. The evening dining experience, was no better, if anything worse than the arrival by far. When asking a few simple questions about the menu, the waitress clearly didn't know how to reply of what was asked and clearly wasn't going to find out a satisfactory simple answer. Finally gave our order. Starters came, which were very nice. However, our mains were brought out whilst still clearly eating our starters. They were taken away and unfortunately when they were brought back, I could not eat my salad, as had been put on a hot plate, a very hot one may I add and obviously the lettuce was wilting and the plate was almost pretty untouchable. I asked for it to be taken away and was offered a replacement, which I refused as time was now getting on and it would also mean my daughter would have to have waited a second time for her meal, as obviously we came to eat together at the same time. Then, a very helpful member of staff offered me something else to eat and was very apologetic and said he would clear it with the kitchen, that we could have some food the following day, as it was part of our package with the hotel stay, evening meal was included. However, we had already arranged to go out the following evening and although lunch would have been an option we were away from the hotel, so therefore, we did not get our meal allowance with our stay. Also, it was agreed we pay for any drinks we had the evening of our meal, which I agreed to, which personally I would have waivered, giving the unsatisfactory experience. So, when paying the bill, at the till, was not given a receipt to check, so I looked on the computer screen and there was an extra drink, I had not had, pointed this out and the drink was removed, again with no apology and no apology for our meal experience earlier, as I was now back with the original waitress. I found the whole dining experience not a good one, even at breakfast I found staff almost frosty. Overall, very disappointed and dissatisfied, not enough was done to rectify your mistakes and with exception to one, your unhelpful, inexperienced staff. This Hotel was given to me with a recommendation, I'm sorry to say I wont be giving my recommendation for anyone to stay here.

« In need of renovation. »

On the outside the hotel looks great, on the inside it is obvious the rooms are in need of updating. Walls are paper thin, I could hear 2 people snoring in nearby rooms. Floorboards are uneven and make loud creaking noises. The bathroom is very tatty and outdated. Water pressure is very poor. The bed felt like it was on ice as it moved around with the slightest movement. There was only 1 double plug in the room. I had 1 sugar for hot drinks the 2 nights I was there. Positives - The room was clean, no issue with that. Also the TV seemed modern.
