Only a one night stop over and so little to say except two coach load of guests dominated breakfast in terms of the food on offer...!!

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. I always book a Privilege or Superior room as these give you a bit more space. The rooms are in need of some redecoration as they are starting to look tired. The food is good and the breakfast plentiful. The staff are friendly especially the girls on the Breakfast. The only issue is with the parking. A lot of the parking spaces are used by people who work in The surrounding offices and if you arrive at the hotel before 4pm it is. Challenge to find a space. I feel that this issue needs to be addressed.

The staff were highly efficient and the most friendly and obliging I have ever met. This from someone who spent much of his carer staying in hotels in many countries on several continents. Room clean but short of normal Mercure standards regarding storage space. Shelves by bed not so good as cupboards with drawers. Parking was adequate and restaurant was also very good.

I had high expectations for this hotel but was disappointed. It’s tired and in serious need of updating. I booked here because I hoped to spend a bit of time in the gym and pool but was disappointed to see how small the pool was and there was no air conditioning in the gym. The bed was comfortable and well made. There was a problem with the bathroom - the area around the taps was very dirty and I took this up with the head of housekeeping upon check out. She was very professional, apologetic and reassuring. By far, the best thing about this hotel are the wonderful staff - I travel a lot through work and have never come across such a dedicated and lovely bunch of people.

Pleasant , but basic. There could have been improvement in breakfast, no scrambled eggs. and waited quite a while for a cup of tea. couldn`t move the shower it was permanantly fixed.

Incorrect prices for breakfast provided by reception (told breakfast would cost £9, but charged £11.50). Not all of the breakfast selection choices that are advertised on the breakfast menu were provided. Incorrect and out of date prices for food offers are displayed on posters, which is misleading and in fact the pizza and drink deal is nearly £3 more expensive than advertised. The gym and pool facilities were not as advertised or as expected from a Mercury Hotel and are in fact poor and not very clean.

We stay at the Mercure hotel, Swansea a few times a year when we go support Swansea City but we have stopped buying wine because it is too expensive and we think that hotels generally charge far too much for breakfast so we do not have that any more.
