« Lovely room with a terrible bathroom »

The room was excellent, very clean and well laid out. Unfortunately the shower was a big issue. Due to it being so powerful and the head not being very movable, I ended up with a lot of water getting past the very small shower screen and all over the floor. When we told the staff at reception they came straight up with towels to put on the floor so A* for those members of staff, but it was unfortunately only a short term fix. If this shower had a curtain or a longer screen then the room would be worthy of a 9 or 10 rating.

« DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! »

Paid for a family room and called say before to re confirm cot in room. Got to hotel to be told the family room was uninhabitable so was given an interconnecting room instead. No cot in room, waited over an hour for this to arrive, for it to be dumped outside the room. Filthy bathroom, lack of toiletries, no wardrobe. Paid 5* prices for a 1* hotel. Stayed in better holiday inn’s and Premier Inn’s than this hotel

« Beautiful Hotel and Friendly Staff, highly reccommended. »

The hotel as a whole is a beautiful hotel, with access to the pool, sauna and steam room throughout the day. The food was wonderful and service was great all throughout the stay. My only downside was the distance way from Hull, we ended up staying in the hotel each night because a taxi to go out to a bar would have cost at least £15 each way. This being the only slight downside, we were able to stay at the hotel bar instead and have a lovely time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially as we took advantage of an upgrade and had a really lovely room. The bathroom however could have done with refurbishing but it was lovely and clean. We had lunch at the hotel and my husband enjoyed his burger but we thought it slightly overpriced at £16. My Caesar salad was adequate but the croutons were greasy and the salad drenched in dressing. Breakfast was very nice. Plenty of choice and the food was of good quality and hot. We didn’t use the pool or spa so we cannot comment on this. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had our assistance dog in training with us and although they all loved dogs they respected our request not to distract her.

We enjoyed the couple of days away from home. The room was ok, staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were ok, although thedinner on the Thursday seemed to be better than the Friday.

Bed was comfortable therefore rating is not lower. Otherwise not pleased with shower; handle to turn on was stiff and broken. Room service was odered twice (fish and chips and breakfast) both times food was deep fried and dark brown-black. If I hadn't been tired post commute and late for work I would have complained and sent food back.

« Clean and comfortable stay. »

Lovely spacious room with good view and all the facilities needed. Bathroom a little bit tired in places but acceptable. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only gripe would be the breakfast. Only had fried eggs on offer which I don’t like. Also as the breakfast was pre-cooked and kept warm it was a little dried up. Still edible and would not put me off coming again.
