« This time was only OK. »

Normally I'm very pleased with Your hotel but this time as Accor Platinum member got a very tiny room despite the hotel was empty. (no upgrade) Also the bathroom (toilet) was dirty. i found the previous guest 'end product' in the toilet. I have not reported this I cleaned myself. Please make sure housekeeping double checks the toilet after cleaning the room. However still your staff is very friendly and i like your service. Overall I still love your hotel and service and will choose Elcot Park for my next visit as well as previously did.

Room was ok bit dated but we could cope with that. The worst thing was the Saturday evening meal in the orangery the food was very average but the setting was the worst we have ever experienced at any hotel. No table cloth, net curtains stained, it was awful no experience at all. Our children purchased the experience for us and we have not been able to bring ourselves to tell them the truth about the total waste of money. Poor beyond words we have eatin better garden centre cafes.

My stay was average, having spent 2 days using the conference facility and staying 1 night in room 62. I also had dinner in the bar. The bedroom was dated and looked like it needed a refresh - there were a number of large flies in the room which reflected this. For dinner, I was going to order the thai curry, but was disappointed to learn that it came from a packet - I didn't order this as a result. Conferencing facilities were good, although the timeliness of refreshments were hit and miss. Staff were all polite and friendly.

In the main a very enjoyable weekend with good quality meals & service. The only draw-back was the flashing WC in our bedroom, which wasted a lot of water and time in getting rid of whatever was in the pan! The one in reception area seem also seemed to have similar problem!

« Great hotel in lovely surroundings full of wildlife »

It was our third stay at this hotel. It is in an old country house with attractive surroundings. We were warmly welcomed and our room was upgraded. Very comfortable and relaxing. Excellent bed. We were delighted by the surrounding countryside when we went on a walk, seeing kites, hares, rabbits, pheasants and rooks. We enjoyed an excellent, reasonably priced dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Friendly staff, too

Me and my family enjoyed are stay. When we arrived we were shown to our room which we found to be dirty with an unpleasant smell. We made the hotel manager aware of this who quickly moved us to a much more pleased clean room. We enjoyed our stay and will defiantly return, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Note to hotel owner.....your hotel is on beautiful grounds and has so much potential but it looks tired and in need of a lick of paint. Also breakfast was nice but would be nice to see a bit more variety.....yogurts etc Many thanks

We came for one night and received very good service. Very helpful young man at reception . Room comfortable with view over garden. Meals tasty and well cooked. Breakfast would benefit from addition of yoghurt and fruit. Only one comfortable chair in room, could have done with 2. On the whole a very pleasant comfortable stay

Although the room was very nice, big and clean and the setting of the hotel was amazing, the evening meal was atrocious ,no table cloth no wine glasses just a napkin and knife and fork. We waited 45 minutes for a meal I couldn’t eat The reception was really grubby and don’t get me started on the state of the carpet. No I certainly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody and we won’t be returning.

Bed comfortable. Bedroom lighting not very good. Windows paintwork getting shabby. Lack of extractor fan in bathroom a bit of a problem. Tables in the Orangery in need of replacement. On the plus side food was excellent and staff were friendly and very helpful.

« Lovely settings disappointing service »

Have stayed here a few times and always happy with the service, but alas not so much this time. Stayed a group of 4 but one night was told they were fully booked so one of the party had to stay in a different hotel for one of the nights, but found out they were no where near fully booked. Why ?? Had a meal in the evening and 2 of the party asked for steak but was told that there was no steak. At the meal end asked for an Irish coffee but the waiter came back to say they had no cream. 4 star hotel 2 star service that night. Shame what has happened to the hotel?????

Staff very good, although we did feel they were a bit rushed as there seemed very few of them. Toilet was playing up a bit, but we did report it. Meal was good, and we enjoyed a walk in the grounds and surrounding area. A pleasant relaxing weekend.

Beautiful countryside property.Unfortunately had to wait more than 5 minutes at the reception when I checked in late. Nobody was there even when calling by phone. Bad issue with 1 towel smelling badBreakfast not at the standard. No yoghurt. No tea pot. Only tea cup. No scrambled egg.Was expecting more when entering this very nice property.
