« Dissapointed with hotel, but staff and food were good »

Very disappointed with the condition of the room (120), Bathroom was poor and in need of a refurbishment. No wardrobe, no safety deposit box. Hotel was very noisy on Saturday evening, the guests were very loud whist making their way through the corridors, and were very audible when outside.

First it took us 40 minutes to find a parking then once in the room was cold and dusty there was no hot water my partner had to have a wash in the sink before we went out. got told we could have used the shower in the Pool as there hot i cursive I went in the pool on the Sunday morning and I'm surprised nobody's even caught anything it's that dirty when the hell it was last cleaned I do not know you can see all the scum marks the mould marks. and when we was in bed ther was very noice guest up and down the corridors early hours in the morning and then same at breakfast time which we did not order the breakfast but we still was up with the people going for there overall this looks like a good clean hotel at the reception when you get to your room it's just a disappointment

I have to start off with i usually dont leave reviews and i have never left a negitive review about anything before but i feel on this occasion i have to to warn people. Not only did the radiator not work for the 2 nights i was there and it was -2 outside we had to ask 3 times for a emergency heater which eventually they give us at reception. This heater was incredibly nosiey so we had to pick between being warm or having no sleep. The restraunt is the worst i have ever experinced they forgot about our order and then must of reheated the food. Me and my wife have had food posioning for 2 days after trying 1 tiny bit of chicken. The restraunt staff were embaressed and asked us to complain about the kitchen staff. Whilst i was in the reatraunt the manager had to deal with 4 complaints and refund the money for all these complaints. We sent our food back to the kitchen and had to order just eat. A truely shocking experince

The check in process was instantly forgettable, for a first time visit I would have expected a short description of the location of amenities, eg dining room, leisure centre. The corridors were really cold, as was the bar area, in fact the second night we had to request that the air conditioning was turned down/off, that was actioned around 40 minutes after the request. The room was satisfactory and the dining (breakfast only) was quite good. On leaving there was no checkout process to comment upon.

« Wasn't as expected, disappointed »

The hotel was outdated and not what shown on website. The spa is non exististent and is a hotel room and the pool changing area are dirty and old. The food at the hotel was not great either we ended up getting breakfast somewhere else. The staff are friendly and do try hard but the hotel lets itself down. As a spa break we expected dressing gowns and flipflops and didnt recieve anything. so overall disappointed with my stay.

We chose the hotel as it had parking and was close to the Park and Ride. In addition we found the offer for two nights with breakfast and one evening meal was great value. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room warm and comfortable.

Having stayed here a few times, I knew what to expect in general terms. However, there were a few things which could have been improved upon: There was no-one on reception when I arrived and it took about a minute for someone to appear. The bar service was slow in the later evening: just one member of staff to serve drinks after a dinner attended by nearly 200 people. The mattress in our room has clearly seen better days and sagged in the middle meaning a less-than-comfortable sleep. The hot food at breakfast was less than hot.

I checked in at 3.00 pm. Room was ready and provided everything I needed without being fussy or cluttered. It was great having the studio closest to the bar as we needed to visit the room several times, although it was a little noisy towards the end of the night. I was part of the organising team for the dinner and conference I attended. The staff were very accommodating at all times. The only hiccup is how long it takes to get a coffee. Although fresh-brewed is nice, sometimes quick and easy access to a drink would be acceptable.

The room was not clean enough, dust everywhere, dated furniture, night receptionist not very maneered! Lack of fridge in the room, and the courtains had large stains on them. They looked like they were washed in salt water. But day receptionists we’re very friendly and a bag with new towels was left at the door next day as we had the : do not disturb sign on. Compared with other hotels I would give it 2 stars.

Stayed for one night celebrating a friends Birthday in Chester, 7 minute taxi ride into the centre. Rooms are functional although a little dated, but everything you need for a short stay. Bar area and gym facilities similar. Gym and Swimming pool facilities could definitely do with a spruce up but overall cost for the stay was justified.

Not the best - my toothbrush was left out of the tooth brush holder bristle down, I could hear other guests both next door and upstairs most nights. One night kept me up til 1am. Tv wasn’t working as had cable taken out of the back but had exposed cable. This was fixed but then the cleaner pulled it out a few days later and left it out!! Food wasn’t great - my steak first night was burnt - there was never any chicken left. Blonde girl at reception was lovely though but can’t remember her name. Spa area wasn’t the cleanest.
