We stayed at the Hotel 2 nights as we visit my Aunt who lives in the area and this Hotel is very convenient. We found the staff very friendly we also had dinner one evening which was very good and Breakfast very good. The one thing that was disappointing was our room we had a ground floor wish shower quite small. We were given this room due to some function going on that weekend.

A short but pleasant stay, the room was comfortable and a good size, but the bathroom is in need of updating, there was a large crack in the sink, which really should be fixed. We used the coffee making facilities in the room, but the kettle was quite dirty and needed a good clean. Attention to this type of detail is quite important when staying in any hotel, however much you pay. The location was fabulous, with a fantastic view, and good links to local train stations. I would certainly stay again should I be in the area and would recommend to friends and family. The breakfast was good, but there was some waiting for the replenishment of fruit, water and fresh glasses, along with fresh eggs, it was a busy time with almost every table occupied. Perhaps and additional staff member would have been a good idea to ensure that your customers didn't have to ask for this or that.

« Last minute escape didnt turn out so well »

upon arrival everything seemed great, we had been upgraded to a suite without even being asked butt then things began to slide down hill, the pool is very disappointing, no one around to get towels from, pool full of screaming children and the hotub was full of old men. Our room was well appointed but the bathroom suite needed to be update about 15 years ago. the staff are all friendly enough but no one seems to be interested in going out of their way to help. the food in the restaurant was acceptable at best but definitely nothing to shout about, the service left a lot to be desired.

A lot of noise on a night, expensive drinks and not that nice (Stella) nice meals though. Service was very good but the room furniture was almost falling aoart and the shower was shockingly bad.

Bathroom delapidated with the floor being badly stained , stains on carpet, Chair in room ripped.The corridors leading up to the rooms are a disgrace scruffy , and badly need painting, room very hot with poor ventilation also 2 satchets of coffee that is a poor show, not even a biscuit. If you want guests to return you need to take note and do something about the issues raised. The price I paid wasn’t cheap which shouldn’t make a difference anyway , but I came home very dissatisfied. On a plus the meal was very nice and so were the staff .

We attended an evening wedding reception and stayed overnight. All your staff were very helpful on checking in and out and directing us to the venue.
