« some good points »

reception man needs to smile , bar staff great especially adam , room comfortable but to hot we could not turn off the central heating and there was no air con , no decaff coffe or tea on the room , we found the step over into the bath uncomfortable . car parking should be included for guest no mention that this was extra when we booked .

« Extremely enjoyable, would definitely recommend and return in the future »

Everything about our stay was better than we expected. I had accidentally booked a twin room when booking on line, but on arrival and discovering this, our room was changed without fuss to a superior family room. The service we experienced was excellent, and all staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and courteous. Our stay will definitely be remembered as one of our favourites, and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to all our friends and family, and when we return to Leicester, will book for another stay.

« The (not so) Grand Hotel »

Staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. Room was ok. Spacious, comfortable bed, plenty of towels. Bathroom was mostly clean but paintwork was in need of attention. However, the windows were extremely dirty. The tracks of the double glazing were full of dirt including an old cigarette. The windows themselves were covered in black mould.

Location is good but room was very old with stains on ceiling. TV remote didn’t work. Overall, I didn’t find it to be a 4* quality. Staff were friendly.

I got my invoice on reused paper had stuff printed on the other side ,The room was poorly clean , it tool over 10 minutes for me to check out I security guard / Reception is was to busy shouting at other members of staff it was a disappointing stay and I was not asked if I have a membership card which I had and no one took any details

1. Milk in the room was stale, which i found out after taking great pain to make tea. 2. Got to breakfast at 10am but was no sausage left and they couldn't be bothered. This was 30 minutes before the advertised deadline.

Small things need improving. These days a nespresso machine would be a nice extra in the bedroom. If the shower is in the bath then it’s essential to have a grab rail to get out of what is a deep bath. The dinner supplied to our conference on the Friday night was dreadful.

« Just what we needed in the city centre »

We were visiting the Curve Theatre and this hotel was very close so was in an ideal location. The reception was very good and the room was adequate, not a bad size for a city centre hotel. We had a good breakfast in the morning.

Large comfortable room with a comfortable bed. Good bathroom with all amenities provided. Internal room so quiet and not too warm inside on a warm night. Excellent breakfast. All staff courteous and efficient.

Overall excellent. A small hiccup as we were not told that breakfast finished earlier on weekdays and arrived a little late, however restaurant staff were brilliant and ensured that we had all we wanted. Could I suggest that times are displayed in the rooms.
