Stay was very nice, price of drinks at bar were expensive, not much choice in drafts lagers. Marco's was very good (service and food) and discounted offer (£20) was excellent. Checking out was quite slow because there was only 1 member of staff.

This hotel really needs some investment to bring up to a decent standard. Room was small with double pushed against wall so can only get in from one side and then TV to side of bed not the end. Toilet so close to the wall you had to sit on it at an angle. No double glazing so can hear the rain clearly with rattling windows as well. Breakfast was basic with not a great choice apart from grill up. Wouldn't be staying again to be honest

breakfast was same everyday and very simple room was simple and crude there was single tap for cold water and hot water respectively, how could I use warm water???

The tap you are referring you is a mixer tap which mixes hot and cold water and to get only hot or cold water tap need to turned all the way to the left or right to get desired water temperature. Hotel was good, car parking ample. Room cosy but nice. Big bathroom, shower water pressure was really poor though Was on 4th floor but still needs to be better than that

Due to the change in weather, the rooms were quite cold despite being summer and I think guests should be able to regulate their room temperature. The stand alone electric heater that was brought later wasn't effective.

Not the right expectations for the price paid and location

Overall I wasn't happy at all with the experience: - no air con in the room - the furniture was old dated - the appliances and everything included were old - as an example - the kettle was placed on a shelf with no plug nearby. I had to move the kettle in the room to find a plug (minor detail but still) - I had to pay for parking £10 overnight stay. Ideally it should be free as I was your guest and the car park was empty - the bathroom looked 'old', the TV in the room was of a poor quality. I am not a fussy person but I would definitely get a nicer hotel for £110 per night in Leicester Adrian

The price I booked was completely different on arrival, you then charged me twice and reserved a third amount. I was dealt with very rudely when I tried to explain this and had to physically log your staff on to my personal banking and let them scroll through it so clarify this even though it was 3 transactions next to one another. The room had damp I think from a leak in the room and I was woke up at 7:30am by work meant carrying out renovation work on my day off. After 15 days I finally received one refund. I wasn’t even offered my parking as complimentary to make up for the poor level of service. I chose your hotel as I believed that it was a reportable and trust worthy name however I can now say it’s not and that I am shocked by the way I was treated. Several guests asked me for photos during my stay and over all we made the most of the experience but from the perspective of what the hotel offered I am shocked and would not recommend your selfs to anyone. Over all good disappointed that the room did not have a computer usb point that worked. The night staff could not help with a plug however the days staff found one foe me quickly.

The room had a bed set against one wall, the door into the bathroom was very noisy and the heated mirror in the bathroom was so hot it could hardly be touched. No bedside tables!

The Grand is not as grand as it may have been in its prime. Room furniture looks tired and bit bashed. Bathrooms are not very modern and overall it looks pretty tired. It's very noisy at night as the people of Leicester rev their cars and toot their car horns until at last 2am . Breakfast was good though

The night time noise from the outside from the hotel was awful

The room was cramped with a very below standard bathroom, with was 1 star at best, and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel or the image you protray on your website. Blood on the tiles next to the toilet and a bump/step that ran across the room which was a constant tripping hazard. We could have overlooked these issues, but the noise from the late bar across from the hotel on the Friday and Saturday night was stupid! Went on till 4 in the morning, and the windows might as well have been open for all the sound proofing they gave. Left our stay very tired from lack of sleep and reported this to reception who gave us free parking as an apology. Would not stay again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
