« Pleasantly satisfied »

Very clean in all areas. Only one part of our stay stopped me rating you higher and that was the lack of staff. Very slow service in the restaurant, seated and then waited 10 mins and still nobody came back. Only 2 other tables in the restaurant at the time. Ended up walking out and sitting in the bar. Pool area very clean and relaxing (no jacuzzi as advertised). Food was very nice. Bedroom comfortable. Overall..... Very good.

A comfortable enough stay. The room was clean enough and the bed really comfortable. However, I did find the place and it’s deco rather dated and tired. The corridors had rather a musty smell to them and the room did too! Food was really nice though.

« A bit of a let down »

Hotel is in need of a bit of love, old mattress, windows let in a lot of noise, curtains dont shut completely unless you want to staple them together. A hair dryer that only blasts cold air... The staff were friendly and helpful even though they forgot when I ordered an iron to run over my work shirt and I needed to go back down to reception to request again. Parking was good and you can't fault the location but not my favourite of the Mercure hotels I've stayed in

« Would return again »

We had a big room with double + sofa bed for our son and a separate dressing room. Nice and quiet. Friendly staff. Clean. Not the most attractive location, at the edge of an industrial estate, but it worked for us as visiting family. Asda, McDonald's and trampoline place nearby plus children's playground. Pool not massive but we enjoyed a swim there.

Aircon leaked and room was noisy (outside). Breakfast ok but probably wouldn’t pay £11 each again for it! Other than that was good value and did the job for one night.

I found the hotel clean and well presented, the staff were very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic The room was very good and I slept very well, the only thing I had a small negative comment on was the television signal was not good on some channels which I think could be sorted out by management quite easily

« Satisfactory but not outstanding. »

Check in was smooth and the reception staff were friendly helpful and efficient. The room was generally clean and tidy although decor was a little tired and dated, as was the whole hotel. The signal for the television in the room was poor and we were unable to watch certain channels. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and again the meal was ok but we chose not to eat in there again. We were in room 93 which overlooked the front of the hotel and the noise from people in the car park (smoking area) was quite disturbing, although this was only an issue on the Saturday night. Overall we had a pleasant weekend but would not choose to return to this particular hotel.

« Relaxing break excellent food lovely staff! »

Although the accommodation was dated, it was very clean & bed extremely comfortable. The location although on an industrial park is very convenient for Norwich & the surrounding area. The spar facilities are basic & the pool rather small, but if you treat it as a hotel rather than a spar then it can only be a bonus. The food is fantastic and cannot be faulted, great quality & ample, however I have to praise the staff as they were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return, many thanks to the staff for making it such a pleasant stay!
