This was my 2nd stay at the Fairmont. Being remembered by your concierge when I pulled up was lovely, and all staff are friendly. I love the comfy bed & block out curtains. It is easy to just while away the day without leaving the resort.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the amenities were excellent. I was most impressed that the hotel offered an adult only dining area during the school holiday period which provided a quiet, relaxing area to dine with spectacular views and attentive, friendly service by the staff.

The welcome we received upon arriving was very friendly & helpful. Nice & warm when we entered the hotel which put us as ease the moment we entered. The hotel room was comfortable & cosy. Restaurant were they had the buffet was nice very noisy though as alot of children running around & the Buffet was overpriced for what was offered. In saying that the staff were lovely. I booked this weekend as was celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary so it was nice to get away. Hopefully next time not rainy as would of loved to walk through the gardens & ground of the hotel.

A get together with good friends to celebrate 2 birthdays in my family and see the vibrant colours of the Leura garden festival. Hospitality was first rate and no request was a problem. There was some miscommunication on the hotel's side with our late check out but the overall 3 day stay was a huge success.

We stayed at Fairmont for a family birthday celebration with 4 room booking. All aspects of the checkin and general requirements were first class. Our birthday celebration dinner was in the restaurant and service and food was first class. The children's activities were really good for both children and parents.

We are only continuing to add to these including the recent upgrading of our outdoor swimming pool area, the addition of a Sauna to the indoor pool area, our brand new outdoor basketball court and outdoor gym facilities, the new Adventure Park ropes course and our amazing new world class Day Spa, Ubika, which opened late last year! The great news is there's still more to come, we are now updating our indoor gym as well commencing work on an ice skating rink! Our absolute focus here at the Fairmont is to ensure we continue to surprise and delight our many returning guests. We enjoyed the facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was seriously sub par considering the hefty price. This was on par with boarding school food. You seriously have to do better. On the strength of the poor quality of the food I would never come back and I would firmly recommend no one go there, which is a pity because in every other respect it's a good place to stay.

The checkin was quick and the room was clean and tidy and of good size but somewhat dated in decor. We were placed on the floor that caters to dogs! I have never experienced a hotel of this class that does this we had dogs yapping and howling from 6am which continued until we had breakfast at 9am, we passed one room where the dogs were sleeping on the bed! we live on a farm and our dogs sleep outside I really do not wish to sleep in a bed that has been slept in by dogs. The pillows in this hotel are like they have been stuffed with old socks they are so lumpy and uncomfortable when we asked for extra pillows the pillows were so old and musty they smelled like my gran. The buffet dinner is totally overpriced for the small selection on offer and what is there is not great, breakfast has a good offering but has no coffee service which is poor for a hotel of this class and the room lacks privacy and is very very over populated and noisy the staff seem a little untrained. Most disturbing the elevators broke down on two occasions after the first experience I phoned reception to check that the other elevator was working properly as I am claustrophobic I was told the elevator works on a seperate circuit and would be fine It was not fine!

Unfortunately there were a few service issues which we have fell down on during your period and your feedback will assist myself and my team in just getting key services better to our normally consistent high standards. Jenny, I personally dislike to see any negative comments and we do take things personally, we run the resort very professionally and strive for high customer retention and satisfaction. So rather than offer a range of excuses I hope we can get you back again soon at which time I would like to offer you on a future stay, a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe suite, including complimentary breakfast and GM ammenities. Please if you choose to take up this option, do so through myself directly at any time to suit your convenience, just copy this email. The resort has two pet rooms available and these are only used for guests with pets and not those without, so you will not be placed in a room that has been occupied by a pet. The rooms are also cleaned extremely thoroughly post stay for these two rooms. We have very strict rules in place for always being with the pet so the barking is not an issue - I am so sorry this was not the case during your stay and cn only assure you this is a very rare incident and apologise once again. Again I am sincerely sorry and we look forward to having the opporutnity to welcome you back in the future where we are confident you will experience our usual high level of servie that has so many of our guests returning time and again. What was interesting is that we stayed in the other wing this time. Usually we are the second floor overlooking the golf course. This time we stayed in a level 3 room which is meant to be ‘superior’. However it was exactly the same size and looked out over the construction site. There was a very noisy ‘machine’ outside our window going all night - pool pump? Air con ? I’m not sure but usually the other wing is nice and quiet all night. Not sure how the room is ‘superior’ To me it was inferior and cost more! However, as usual kids had an absolute ball - which is why we keep coming back.
