Lovely retreat with views, and anything else you may like. Great resort for families as there are a lot of activities for all ages. Close to Three Sisters, and the Skyway and Cable cars. Very friendly staff.

It was a relaxing and pleasant visit. Rooms very comfortable and large size, outlook was beautiful. Still some work going on for the improvements but didn't impede the program. One extra service that I believe should be included is option to have an individual newspaper delivered to the room each morning if so desired. especially if people are there just to spend a relaxing weekend.

Loved the place the only thing we didn’t like was we went to all you can eat for dinner and there was no price anywhere to tell us how much it cost till we paid for it. We weren’t told the price either when we booked in over the phone.

We booked the Jamison suite for two nights and had reasonable expectations of high quality service by staff who wanted to help us. We were staying at the Fairmont because of convenience as we had our wedding reception there. We also felt it would be lovely to have a luxurious place to spend our wedding night. Unfortunately we did not feel that it was very luxurious. We were extremely disapointed to find that there was no possible way for us to access Netflix through the television and no one seemed interested in helping other than telling us that we can try screen mirroring if our device was compatible (it wasn't). When we informed them we couldn't do this we were simply told 'it is the same in most hotels'. No one showed any interest in assisting us. This is the kind of attitude I would expect to get at a 2 star motel, not a high end resort. When ever we called down to reception it usually took a very long time to get any answer or there was no answer at all. On our first night we ordered room service, when we received our burgers it was not hot, just warm. I also feel the price was extreme for the quality of food we received. It is also very rude to charge a tray fee for simply bringing meals to the room. For what you charge there should be no additional fees for room service. A guest should never have to pay for them to have anything delivered to their room, especially when they are already paying for it. I was also very disapointed at the lack of basic tools available. There was no bottle opener, plates or cutlery other than teaspoons. The freezer in the fridge was dripping and did not work efficiently. Overall, we were not at all impressed and expected much better service especially since we were not only paying for a suite but had also spent thousands of dollars on our wedding reception. Pick up your game. Get with the 21st century and do something about your staff's attitude towards their work.

We were very disappointed to read that your experience for your wedding night in our suite did not meet expectations - certainly far from our want or intention I assure you. It is correct that our televisions do not have netflix configured and I understand our Manager on Duty tried to see if you could screen mirror on your phone, however your phone was not compatible. We apologise if the service came through as uncaring - this was certainly not intended and your comments have been shared for review. I have also shared your comments on our in room dining with our Executive Chef, please accept our apologies for this. The service fee is standard across the industry and is a true cost to a hotel. I am also having our Maintenance Manager look into your fridge issue and have advised House Keeping to ensure all appropriate in room implements are available. It was just easy. Having three kids with us always makes it a shuffle and interesting but it’s easy when your staff really look out for you. We feel it’s not just because they’re paid to do so, it feels genuine. The food and views are amazing- so much variety and so fresh! Even at 3am with a coughing baby I was able to get help by your front desk staff. We absolutely love taking our family breaks with you guys!

The room was excellent. Other aspects were not so great. The serivce and food quality in Embers on Friday night was very average and, as a result, we chose to eat out of the hotel for the rest of our trip. The hotel was also busy with events which is fine. However, it meant that there were shouting kids all over the place and there was no quiet place to sit for a quiet drink. The air con in the bar off the lobby was also frigid to the point where we could not enjoyably sit there.

It was nice to see the hotel operating efficiently again. We used to frequent the hotel when it was new and I spent time there during work seminars. It did go downhill for a while and our last visit was disappointing. We were impressed with the staff and general upkeep of the property. Unfortunately it was a Sunday and dining choices were limited but the food in the Embers Restaurant was great. The menu could do with some rewriting as my French and Italian are limited. We had a good time and will be back.

I was so happy with the venue & the staff. Not only did they assist when the wedding reception was delayed and automatically took the gifts and left over cake up to the brides room (so we didnt have to!). but the staff were all very attentive and thoughtful when my friend fell over, following up the day after check out. Overall this is one of the best hotel stay's i've had. Everything was clean and tidy, the gift shop was cute and well stocked with emergency things you may need, as well as some sugar

the staff here were the best I have encountered throughout the world, they were charming, pleasant to talk to, beautifully attired, and a complete pleasure to deal with. the room was huge with 2 queen beds and massive windows overlooking the garden, and wonderful beds with an assortment of pillows. we made use of the eucalyptus room for dining, and this was an amazing experience, with divine food and the best staff. breakfast was great too, and the outlook to die for! i didn't want to leave the hotel as we were having such a good time there, and booked a late check out. the only slight problem, i hadn't realized how many children would be running around and screaming! oh well! we will certainly be back time and time again, and am looking forward to the next visit. thank you

« Noisy oversized hotel in beautiful surroundings »

After a week of experiencing some of the East Coast of Australia’s lovely hotels we were due to stay for two nights at Fairmont Blue Mountains.on arriving we were shocked at the mass of people and noise that treated us in the arrivals area. We booked in and found our room after having to park a long way away in the large car park.The concierge took all our bags and said they would be delivered to our room, we waited in what was quite a nice sized twin room, however it overlooked a large pool area and the windows are old metal frame single glaze so we could hear everything, also there is little soundproof between room and zero noise suppression from corridor to room. The hotel seemed to be full of noisy kids. No luggage arrived so we called to discover they had been delivered to another room!. On looking at the info we saw it was advisable to go to breakfast before 8.30 am to avoid the busy time..... never seen that before, we went to breakfast next morning at 8 and it was already busy and noisy. We checked out that morning and forfeighted one nights booking and moved to the peace and quiet of Lilianlels Hotel...bliss! Sorry Fairmont but your just not our kind of place and it’s definately not a couples hotel it’s just mass family style.Possibly the mistake of our travel agent...

« A golf break weekend »

We very much enjoyed our weekend. The hotel, facilities and restaurants were very nice. My only complaint would be albeit our room was very nice the windows were very dirty which detracted from our views. Also the seafood buffet on the Saturday evening was nice, however the crab was very disappointing as it was obviously frozen as it was very watery and tasteless which detracted from our overall dinner, plus the restaurant, window table, was very cold we needed to go and get a jacket from our room. However we did enjoy our weekend and golf.

Dear Angela We very much appreciate your comments regarding your enjoybale golfing weekend stay with us at the Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains MGallery by Sofitel. Firstly, thank you for your ongoing loyalty to Accor, it is highly valued and appreciated. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. I will share your comments with our team. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. We also appreciate your constructive comments, and ensure we utilise these to continually make adjustments to our product to improve our service offering in line with guest expectations. Your comments on the coolness of Embers has been shared with both our Food and Beverage Outlets Manager and our Maintenance Manager to review. We aklso have a periodic window cleaning service in place for the resort and your comments in this regard have been shared with our House Keeping Manager as perhaps the frequency needs to be increased. Our seafood is sourced from a highly reputable local supplier so our Chef has shared your comments on the crab with them as this is certainly not refelctive of their usualy excellent quality - our apologies and thank you for brining this to our attention.
