A wonderful experience shared with family members at The Fairmont Resort. All aspects of Fairmont Resort met our needs with polite, friendly and helpful staff members to offer assistance, superb room quality, detail and positioning, outstanding dining opportunities on offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and a host of facilities and activities which pleased all members of my family. Highly recommend The Fairmont Resort.

The room was outstanding, large, spacious and extremely comfortable. Your staff was wonderful, polite and friendly, always ready with a smile and a greeting. However, service was slow, much slower than expected, esp. for room service and restaurant service. Loved the High Tea - that was wonderful and the service was excellent.

« We enjoyed our stay as usual, I think this was our 6th or 7th. »

We enjoyed our stay, loved our room No.437. Xmas in July proved to be a bit hectic for us but we still enjoyed our stay. Chose to use the new adults only Mistys" for coffee and breakfast and the occasional drink. Usually love Jamisons for breakfast and the Saturday Seafood Buffet but a bit too rowdy for us this year. Had dinner both evenings in the Eucalypt Restaurant and enjoyed that immensely.

« A 70th Birthday celebration with plenty of warmth in a cold season. »

The staff were fantastic all all aspects of the organisation of the resort. The food was great in the Jamison Yuletide Bistro and then two breakfasts, as well s coffees and teas in Embers and the bar area.The rooms were spacious, warm and comfortable and the staff all around the resort were pleasant, helpful and keen to please.

We came to stay as a group of families for a friends birthday, the food and facilities were lovely as was the outlook and the staff were great, I have no complaints but apparently we were a little noisy as a group and were asked to keep the noise down although quite early in the evening/ late afternoon

Fantastic. The only issue was that on Friday evening when we tried to book for dinner the Jamison dining room was booked as wsd ebery restaursnt in Leura. This left us and other families with small children with nowhere to go. We should have been informed that that would be the case being Julefest time.

welcoming. Good clean rooms. Lovely grounds. Good facilities generally. The childrens' play area is looking very tired though. The play equipment is ok, but in need of some repair. the only other thing in the room is a long broken basket ball machine. Some other children's activites would improve it a lot - like table football, other enclosed ball games. Tha table tennis table is great. However, the area needs to be looked after. It has new carpet under it and so is producing fluff when walked on. In the 6 days we were there, it didn't appear to have been vacuumed and the fluff was piling up all around it. It doesn't make it look very inviting for the kids. Also, the table tennis balls and bats were good, but were just left out on the table. Towards the end of our stay, these were all damaged by other people making them almost useless. It would be reasonable to keep these at reception and leave a room card as deposit, just to make sure that they are appropriately looked after, available and not vandalised.

Level of service was excellent, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kids' zone was very popular with the young ones as were the outside activities - train ride, electric cars etc. Food standards (quality) were poor for the price, as was the Christmas in July buffet.

We had a lovely time. Most of the staff were amazing - Michael the concierge is a real asset to the Fairmont and we also had terrific service from Embers. The staff around the bar area however were less pleasant and engaging. The breakfast is lovely however the sausages should be changed for something of better quality. Dinner at the buffet is a real disappointment during previous stays and it appears that still remains an issue with the lack of patrons in the buffet area. This should be addressed as its the only thing I dont love about the fairmont.
