The hotel was ok but were let down in 2 areas. The buffet Yulefest dinner lacked much in the way of gluten free/dairy free options and after paying for a valley view, actually there was no view of the valley because of the trees. I spoke to reception and was told, ah yes, the council have stopped us cutting back the trees that block the view, however no refund. Disappointing.

Wonderful Fairmont Leura the place that always delivers a memorable experience.

The experience was very good. The restaurant Embers as usual a beautiful experience by the fireplace. The staff at the dining area and the coffee lounge for afternoon tea were very professional and courtesy. The breakfast was good quality and varied. Lunch was enjoyable and good quality. Dinner was ok. The rooms spacious and inviting. The shower very good and the bed comfort very good. Housekeeping very good.

Resort felt tired and staff were not very eager to please.

The hotel was on the tired side and definitely needed some maintenance and general upgrades. The food outlets were underwhelming and felt very budget. Not too much on offer for the health conscious guest. As 'Gold Accor Plus' members there was no recognition of our loyalty to the brand which was disappointing.

The purpose of our stay was for the kids which was achieved. Kids zone was great and useful during bad weather. I arrived afterhours (after 6pm) so there were no doormen or porters at that time. I had to wheel my luggage from the lower carpark to the hotel. Suggest a number to call to get a porter would be good for the future. Our room was missing towels which I've never seen before. The heated pool wasn't very heated so the kids couldn't stay in it for long. Also dining options were limited. On Saturday we almost had to leave the hotel as everything was fully booked. Can I suggest an Asian option. Even a pop up Thai eatery would work well as a trial during the busy periods. Otherwise the food looked the same across all your restaurants. The rest of the trip was great.

I would like to apologise to you for not meeting expectations in all areas on this particular stay - certainly far from our want or our intention I assure you. Please be assured it is certainly never our want or our intention to have our valued guests leave anything other than 100% satisfied with their experience. We can understand your comments regarding noise, it is a very large challenge to restrict noise from children in a resort at the best of times, however, some families seem to arrive and their children are loud from the moment they enter the Lobby. We have continued to bring on activities both internal and external (eg basketball court opened recently and our craft sessions and mini master chef as well as daily movies and rides throughout the schoo holiday period) as well as highly train our staff to respectfully intervene should they see this behaviour occuring. I am sorry this did not shine through during your stay and it looks as though we need to revisit our strategies after this school holiday period to ensure we perfect the experience for all of our guests, thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, there were a few service issues which we have fell down on during your stay and your feedback will assist myself and my team in just getting key services better to our normally consistent high standards. My room was located on the main level closest to the lifts. Hoped for a relaxing afternoon. Instead I heard many conversations of people waiting for their lift and their screeming children.

I am sorry if some aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Next time we will strive for higher scores. At the Fairmont, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every guest; therefore your feedback is very important to us. I wanted to let you know that we do very much try to ensure we segregate families and guests without children throughout the resort as much as possible in terms of accommodation rooms - however due to the time of travel being a peak family period due to NSW school holidays combined with individual check in and check out dates, as well as changed dates of travel and group bookings we are not able to guarantee this at all times. This has become a large programme for the resort and we are making great and immediate progress with it as I am writing this to have a higher percentage of accuracy. This project involves changing room and bedding configurations on each floor, we are progressing well and it is improving dramatically. We are confident on a return stay this issue will be rectified and again apologise that it was not during your stay. Really enjoyed our time. The resort has great facilities but we were very let down by the Yulefest Buffet which was one of the reasons we came up. Expensive, no atmosphere and the buffet for price charged was a let down. I wouldn’t do the buffet again. Gorgeous location and all staff encountered where very friendly and accommodating. Didn’t really get to use all facilities but hoping to come again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont, only wished we stayed longer. The staff were superb from entry right to departure. We also stayed for brekkie and dinner. Both were fantastic. Only comment we stayed in June and it was quite cold despite the heater was on (perhaps additional portable heaters be available especially for the rooms on on the top floor) with high ceiling. We also travelled with small 6 month old toddler would be awesome if there was a few additional items for him to play in the huge play area you have. We definetly come back, i m sure our son will enjoy as he grows older for the train ride.

We also appreciaet your constructive comments and apologise sincerely for your room not beung warm enough - this is certainly not reflective of our usual cosy atmosphere and I have alerted our maintenance Manager to this straight away. We do have additional portbale heaters available at reception as well, however your room shoud have been warmer - thank you for taking the time to let us know. We also appreciate your comment on more younger toys available for younger children. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the spa in the room divine.We were disapointed with the high tea. Too many shot glasses of mousse , fruit .
