The staff were helpful and the rooms were adequate x I feel an update would help the experience though. The kids loved the indoor pool although it was cool rather than warm. The cinema was a good experience and so was the craft activities . The breakfast was very nice and buffet dinner was average. My only real complaint or disappointment was that the kids play games area was very smelly and unfortunately we couldn’t utilise it as we would have liked x The pony rides and the train was a great success with the kids unfortunately we tried twice to get tickets for car ride and merry go round but sold out each time.

Absolutely loved it. Fantastic staff always so professional and welcoming. Very quite and comfy bed. Kids loved it with indoor swimming pool and plenty of kids area. Only down side of entire trip was not a nice smell going on at the kids area next to the indoor swimming pool. I don't know if the place got damp or leaking water. The smell was not nice and I hope they fix this. Apart from this it was fantastic trip and really enjoyed the stay. We will definitely be back for sure!

... we arrived at 10am expecting another 30minutes of serving. The food was being put away while we were having breakfast. Basically we had a compromised breakfast . Not good. We were later told that it is only in weekends that breakfast is served till 10:30am. Pity the staff member didn’t know this.

As an Accor member, we have stayed a few times at the Fairmont. However I was very disappointed when reserving our 3 rooms through the central reservations as I was quoted a price, gave my bankcard details then was told i had to upgrade to 2 superior rooms and 1 standard room was still ok. As I had no choice with our date, due to my mother-in-laws funeral that day at Leura, we accepted the booking at an increased cost. I was expecting something a bit more special paying for a superior room, but was disappointed in the standard and found it very dated. we were also surprised when the bar closed at 10pm. the breakfast was good as usual.

« Resort & facilities available were excellent, however meals left a bit to be desired. »

Whilst the resort and its facilities were overall excellent and the ambiance was very warm and welcoming, we felt that the meals (evening meal and breakfast) were less than satisfactory. By way of example, my wife had Bruschetta as an entree, but by the time it was served to her, the bread had gone soggy and she was unable to eat it, only the topping. Like wise she had the salmon for main course, however this was overcooked. There was nothing particularly wrong with my meal, but I must admit that I have had better at other establishments. With regards to breakfast, whilst it was overall OK, the plates were cold and therefore the food very quickly went cold as well.

Pros - geared towards travel with children. - the train, merry go round, ride on cars (car was a highlight for my son) - the indoor play area - polite housekeeping, concierge, reception - good breakfast - neat and tidy room Room for Improvement - we stayed for 3 nights for our 10 year anniversary, it would have topped our stay if special events are actually acknowledged. The hotel knew it was our anniversary because I booked for 2 nights and mentioned it to the reception staff and called again to book additional night and mentioned it again.

« Fun for kids. »

Good. Not great. Spa was cool not hot. Spa was grimy on the walls where you rested your back. One of the games machine took my money without working. Breakfast was poor. Bathroom was way too small for a young family requiring parental assistance for young kids. Staff were great. Train and electric cars were the highlight for the kids.

The first is a new multi story undercover parking facility in the base carpark and more convenient, closer parking will also become available once our new Day Spa building is complete which is due this year. I found it very frustrating staying at this hotel. Anytime a guest wanted water it came in a plastic water bottle. There were no glasses and jugs of water available. It was shocking to see how much waste was generated from the plastic water bottles. There were no facilities for guests to recycle these bottles which was very disappointing

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Regarding water we do have offerings through out the resort from Jamisons for breakfast there is a permanent filtered water system on the buffet; In Sublime & our gynasium / indoor pool area we have a permanent free filtered dispenser machine; in the Lobby there is a permanent dispenser set up. Back of house we have a very, very extensive recycling program complete with seperate plastic, glass and cardboard crushing machines which work endlessly with a steward team and than on the roof of the resort and Leura Golf Club we have over 300 solar panels generating vast amounts of power. This week we are installing a greenhouse to allow us to do more produce through out winter and we are 1 of the top Planet 21 Accor properties in Australia for recycling. Last month we also celebrated Earth Hour with the resort in darkness from 830pm. At MGallery, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. We loved it took my boy for his 8th Birthday and my Mum. Haven’t been to the mountains for years and my son never had. We loved the service. We were treated to a stuffed chicken for my son. Lunch was fabulous. Dinner service was my only fault waited nearly 1 hour between my entree and my main and my mother and sons plates that came with my entree were left there until we asked them to be cleaned for dessert. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and bright. Pool inside was good but outside one was freezing. It will be nice to return when the renovations are finished. Overall loved the stay.

I am so sorry this occurred over your stay, however am sure you understand the circumstances were out of our control.
