had to change rooms because of the discoteque near by from room 704 to 758. rooms on that side are more quiet. no sound proof isolation of rooms neither entry door nor window. music that was played in the lobby and adjacent restaurant was usually played to loud and not fit for the hotel. low key classical music played softly would have been nicer.

At entering encountered very friendly staff with the desire to solve any occuring problems. Helpful, understanding. Great after a very long day of traveling. The 24 open bar is also a great plus. Upon returning in the night to be able to still get coffee and soda was a great plus. Good rooms, although some lack a bit of a view. Upgrade-able to ocean view at a price...

In Valparaiso to work in the port. Hotel was excellent, really appreciate the help of the staff (room selection - away from disco gym; safe locked by low battery). Great location to head out for dinner at night. Quiet in rooms away from disco gym.

Given the other hotels we have stayed in (Puerto Mont to Arica) while travelling Chile for 2 months breakfast was included and their prices were every bit competitive, some better. Our last visit we were given a waterfront room and at a price way cheaper than this year. We asked if we could have a room facing the Ocean and were advised yes but at $10.00 US$ per night additional. Last year we had a large Cruise ship to view but this year two large Container Ships, one loaded with 2m x 20m sheets of steel. The unloading of this and other huge steel objects went on until well after midnight, stopped and then started up again Sunday morning. All of this for an additional $10 US$, which now known by us should have been a -$10.00 US$ LESS. BTW ..By The Way, that unloading of the Bulk Carrier Macaw Arrow is still in the unloading phase 3 nights later. Informing Reception I was advised they would call me re changing rooms...No Call Received. Now the Environmental Bump.. well how tacky / cheeky to stick a “Acting HERE Planet 21 “ flyer on the bed which basically encourages you to reuse your bed linen and/or towels another night ... thereby saving the Hotel $$$$... and placing ugly useless minuscule soft plastic glasses in the bathroom. SHAME ON YOU IBIS, SHAME ON YOU ! Don’t tell me you wash these plastic glasses and reuse them. We know where that plastic goes. We paid for glass. A hotel of this stature should Have as a minimum washable glasses. Practice what your Paper Flyer Encourages and kudos for taking that approach. However don’t assume your Paying Guest are tabla rasa..blank slates for whom their elevators don’t go all the way Up.

Except for the problem with the card readers at the entrance and the elevators, everything was perfect. It would be nice to have an area in the parking garage reserved for the hotel with a survey camera (I had a small incident in my car that could not be documented).
