« Amazing hotel! »

We were here last year and had to come back to This beautiful hotel. This Year service at the pool/restaurant were very slow!! Had to wait too long for our orders. And at the restaurant we were not pleased with a main course missing all its vegetables, salad and potatoes. We complained at check out and manager Miriam decided to delete the whole restaurant bill not just the one main course. We really appriciated that. Thank you! The pool service was slow, But one guy, Adil, was just spectacular. He had a day off during our stay and we really noticed (and Other guests too) Adil, We want to Thank you sooo much for making our stay at the pool wonderful! And at least But not last, Youssef (from Fes) at breakfast. He remembered us, and We definetly remembered him. HIS service is truly 5 stars!! All thoug service a bit slow and a bad restaurant meal, They more than Made up for it showing They really do care about their Guests. See you again Next Year! And again, Thank you.

I visited previously, last year March when the hotel was still being completed whilst my stay then was fantastic, i was impressed with how far they have come. Sofitel, is a name that breaths luxury and quality. Tamuda Bay, stays true to that. Staff - Driss, Sofia and Hannah were an instrumental part of making my stay not only stressfree but enjoyable. Driss Was always around to help, nothing was to small or too little. Sofia, was a joy to communicate all my needs to and she didn’t fail to deliver. The overall staff, especially housekeeping need to be highlighted as genuine gems and the backbone of this hotel. Food - What can I say FANTASTIC, as a chef myself it was a pleasure not to worry about cooking and just enjoy my holiday with good food, nothing was too small for the kitchen, and when we requested something they didn’t have, the chef created a little bit of paradise for us. Rooms - We stayed in the Prestige Spa suit, which had its own mini gym, the bed as with all Sofitel beds was to die for. Clean, well maintained and had the sofitel smell. Spa - Should you visit Tamuda Bay, please utilise the Spa it’s a paradise haven in the hotel. The staff are so knowledgeable it makes the experience better. Location - Located in the North of Morocco, this hotel sits on a beach, with guest having direct access to the beach. FANTASTIC. Activities - There’s lots to do, drop Sofia an email and she is always happy to help. We had a fantastic Moroccan cooking class along with horse riding. Con - Not everyone speaks English, which isn’t a huge problem as it allowed me practice my French. The room service does need to be improved, we were left waiting 1hr+ for our dinner, this might be due to breaking Ramadan fast. Also, housekeeping need to check the doors, for in room breakfast cards, in my 3 nights here, I had to call every morning to get someone to pick up our breakfast card even after leaving it out at 10pm the previous night. All in all, I will recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit a quaint part of Morocco. I have rebooked another stay for later this year and next year. I can’t wait to be back. « Excellent new beach resort »

This property is in an up and coming resort area. Our room had a spectacular view of the resort, beach, and Tamuda Bay. The staff is young and very eager to please, sometimes overly so. There was a minor billing issue, which was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. Concierge Sophia did a wonderful job of seeing that our needs were met. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has magnificent installations, but lacks the finesse a 5 star should have. Room service breakfast was an absolute disaster, what we got had nothing to do with what we ordered and the marmalade had mould!!!

-breakfast: we ordered breakfast in our rooms, and what we were served had nothing to do with what we had ordered. Absolutely nothing. When we complained, they explained that the couldn’t serve scrambled eggs with bacon and salmon, as the hat no bacon nor salmon, we had asked for many things (on the breakfast menu) which simply did not arrive. Instead we were given a plate of some sort of cut meat, which had been cut the day before and fries which had also been fried hours ago. This, we sent back. Also the fruit "cocktail" had clearly been prepared the night before. The croissants and bread were cold. And to make matters even worse, when we opened the marmalade, there was mould in it!!

Nothing was correct. - Check in : we were told the check in was 3PM. Somebody called us before we arrive to confirm the timing and upon arrival we still had to wait 35min. The welcome drinks arrived 1 sec after we stood up to finally go to our rooms. - in the swimming pool the tiles are slowly off, and rotting and nothing to fix it. - We wanted to go to the beach, nobody was there to provide towels (we had to wait 20min to get some towels) or help us. My 60years old dad had to open the umbrella that almost fell on him. - impossible to order any drinks or food on the beach. - the room service menu is so very tiny. but the food was okaish.

« A bit of heaven, a bit of hell »

Rating this hotel is particularly difficult, as the level of inconsistency is pretty strong. Some areas rate outstanding, others average or extremely poor. Let's do it step by step: - Easy to park, valet parking, and luggage delivery: outstanding, nothing to say. - Check in: definitely slow. Not a disaster, but can be improved. The staff was clearly exhausted from a long summer reaching its end and completely sunk by the low staffing level due to the Aid El Kebir National Holiday. - The room. This is where the disappointment starts. The room was literally a chiller, hard to get in with a new born. Even after switching the AC off and opening the windows, we could not rebalance the temperature. We realized that the cold was in fact coming from the corridor and had to put towels against the door to save a bit the situation. Then, the walls of the room were full of moist or dry vomit or a substance we could not identify but which was not reassuring and dirtying the yellow painted wall. The bathroom's bath tube was broken, and dripping water heavily on the floor, half of our towels went to sponge the whole mess. We also had requested for a baby cot. Never received it... Food and Beverage is the nastiest area of the business. We tried the pool restaurant and bar. For the restaurant on the pool side if you have kids forget it. Menu limited. We had to beg and I weight my words twice and ask the staff to bring the kids (Ours plus the other 2 couples) pasta from another hotel venue. Breaksfast was 250 dirham per adult. Variety is good, the 2 chefs were standing in their black suits and extremely supportive (good!) but the waiters just ruined it. We realized that some customers were tipping off the waiters before hand to ensure they were getting proper support and attention. Yes it's a buffet put some items like coffee can only be order through waiters. We did not tip beforehand and we ask 3 waiters for coffee and waited 45mn before we got our coffees. Totally unacceptable. Pool: believe it or not this very recent hotel is lacking tilling maintenance. The pool tiles at the bottom of the pool were losing their tiles. Our friends' child in fact injured her foot walking on a sharp broken tile. In any other country this is a law suit. We collected dozens of pieces of tiles. We had one french lady trainee bringing over first aid kit to help. There is also an annoying whistling noise you her outdoors. After asking several staff members we found that out it was a bird repellent ultrasound device... Finally and to me the great surprise: the kids club. The manager (a gentleman) and his team were outstanding. In fact they were the only professional, proactive staff of the Hotel. They do deserve a five star!rating. The Kids Club is to me an achievement.

« Very good service and attentive, yet mediocre food »

The stay was good, service excellent, yet the catering was a bit mediocre (besides the breakfast buffet) As we arrived, we really enjoyed the welcoming and the warmth of the front team. The location is just mesmerising; the service is wonderful. However, the experience turned bad as soon as we order food. The back-office staff is ruining the excellent performance of the front-office staff.
