Very good - bed outstanding, buffet expensive but worth it. One small problem - room badly cleaned first night - but corrected after that. Parking very practical but somewhat expensive.

We enjoyed our stay especially the "welcome atmosphere" with the staff. The room was of good standard but the temperature of the room was way too high and for strange reasons we were not able to reduce it. The restaurant was average.

As it is not that hot outside as it should be during your stay, the room were too hot as you mentioned in your review. First night of check in was a bit stress full. By error I forgot to bring one extra employee voucher which I was told, as I had a stressful flight travelling I explained the situation I have never had an issue in any other accor hotel which I have stayed in but it seems the receptionist was not really understanding that my flight was delayed and took me more than 6 hours to be able to travel to the hotel so it made me a bit stressed out to inform my manager on duty back home to sort it out for me straight away. Also the television was not working which we informed the receptionist we was waiting between 20-30 mins to wait for someone which never happened. Eventually it was sorted when we got back. I am very happy that we got the free upgrade though for the stay with the free soft drinks etc in the room, not many vegan options for breakfast apart from fresh and potatoes of course thats understandable as it's different to the uk.

We regret that your flight journey was not as pleasant as we wish it for all of our guests. I really hope this had no influence on the rating you gave us for your stay at Novotel Basel City. It is my pleasure to get confirmed from you that you received the free upgrade to an executive room which you had requested prior your arrival twice by email. Referring to your issues with the Television, I just spoke to the responsible receptionist which was on duty during your check-in and been told that she solved the “TV” problem with you together in the room after she explained to you, that she did not come before because of the “Do Not Disturb” sign. I am confused that you are not a aware about this. Further, we would like to thank you (and your colleague in the UK) for forwarding the missing employee voucher immediately. Unfortunately, this was not a decision of the receptionist to require the missing voucher for the second and third night. According to the booking conditions, one voucher is only valid for one night. Nevertheless I am glad the receptionist, has proceed with the check-in immediately. Finally we thank you for your honest feedback regarding the breakfast. As this is the most positively rated service at our property, we are always happy to get new suggestions how to improve this. Please do not hesitate to forward us more constructive feedbacks what we could add in detail for vegetarians. We appreciate that you shared your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. The room was cold and loud, the soap supplies were not replenished each day, one tube was left outside the dispenser which was empty. The couch was dusty.

This was my 4th stay in Novotel. It is good and clean. It would be good to have more control over the heating. Also, it'd be good if there was an offer of natural (freshly squeezed) fruit juices and also fried eggs. Staff are always helpful and friendly. I enjoy my stays in Novotel.
