Good weekend with pleasant staff and guest. Thanks go to Alison, Josie , Emma, Luke on reception. Also to Marianna, Lisa. Tina, Newe, Alec for the food and service in the restaurant, and for Faith and Sam and the aforementioned for the service at the bar. Special thanks for the chambermaids who kept my room clean and tidy.

The room I stayed in would have been perfect but for the fact that a duct or ventilator outside was a constant noise I could have done without. The room was so warm a window had to be kept open and consequently could not shut out the noise of ventilator. The staff I met on reception were friendly and helpful.

The public rooms were welcoming, light and airy. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable but rather tired looking. Our stay was made all the better by the friendly staff. They worked hard, had a laugh with us and had a ‘can do ‘ attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

The room was comfortable however the shower wasn't very hot and there wasn't a plug socket next to the bed, I use my phone as an alarm clock.

Our bedroom was missing a bed (although our needs had been discussed at time of booking). No lift - heavy cases had to be lifted ourselves up several flights of stairs, no assistance offered. No A.C. we had to ask for fans - one was still broken. Single mattress was totally sunken had to request another. BATHROOM - no lock on door & no window or ventilation, very dated and small. Not enough sockets in room. Tired, shabby and old decor - really needs an update or full refurbishment. On a positive staff were very helpful & accomodated our needs / requests speedily and good choice for breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel many time over the lat 30+ years. It has always been a bit "tired" and in need of updating. Nothing has changed. I recently booked a "Superior" room thinking that it had been updated. Nothing had changed,still the same "tired" old room. When I questioned this at reception I was told the only difference between the Standard rooms and the Superior rooms,apart from the price was the size. The meaning of the word Superior indicates best,better, premium, good quality, no where does it indicate size.Perhaps in your description of the room you should change it to larger than most,rather than mislead with the word Superior. a

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the reception area is lovely. Unfortunately they are the only positives and this hotel is in major need of renovation. I’ve stayed a couple of times and the rooms have only the basics clean (e.g. sheets, desk, toilet, basin, bath) but is always dirty around the edges such as window sills, carpet, sealing around the bath and floors. The doors are also so thin and there is always damage somewhere in the room. For the price this hotel is not what you expect. I have stayed in other Mercure hotels and I have to say this one is a big let down for the whole chain.

We felt that the spa facilities would great enhance the recovery of my knee, and they did have a very good effect. All the staff at the Mercure Wolverhampton Hotel were very helpful and polite. The food was excellent, and we would definitely stay again. Thanks so much for a lovely 2 nights away.

The customer service was the best I have ever experienced but the hotel needs complete renovations. The curtains seems it's been there for years without changing, the carpet is nothing to write about, even the cushion on the bed seems they have dribbled on it. It's a poor standard honestly. My daughters bed is spoilt and the shape of it is like a canoe. The cutleries for breakfast needs changing as they are old with watermark everywhere. My bathroom is 100 times better than that didn't enjoy the room at all, it's substandard. The tea cups are chipped but one thing that's amazing there is the staff. They are excellent. If the management of the hotel could improve the standard it will compliment the work of the staff.

F FOOD WAS OF THE HIGHEST STANDARD CHEF NUI. NO SWIMMING POOL SHOULDNT BE ADVERTISED. HAD TO HAVE KEYCARD RESWIPED EVERY DAY FOR 6 WEEKS !
