We booked via an online 'travel offer' and were a little apprehensive due to some reviews we had read about the hotel. Now that we've stayed there, we can honestly say it was perfect; a nice room, excellent food, fantastic staff, everything was extremely good and we enjoyed it.

Hotel smelly rooms dated to hot booked 2 rooms near each other 4 flights apart only to be told by receptionist well at least we in same building !!! really . Lots more wrong but to many to write just will never stay here again or even recommend

« Hotel needs to give serious consideration to the state of rooms. »

Booked into your hotel for a short stay, Room 44 - what can I say? The mirrors appeared not clean, the window had no mechanism to close the window which meant I was unable to shut out the road noise. Bathroom was okay - but water temperature in the room could have been better. The staff at reception were pleasant and helpful.

Comfortable, good food but the room was tiered. Some other elderly guests had difficulty in managing their luggage as there were no lifts. No air conditioning and no opening windows in the room made it a little stressing.

« Clean but dated »

The staff were friendly and efficient and very helpful. The bed, bathroom and surfaces were clean. However the room was in desperate room of a make over. There was a large crack in the ceiling and the bathroom door was damaged, was useable, but had clearly been damaged and just painted over. And the curtains were visibly dusty. The pictures on booking.com had promised a lot more than what we recived. The room was so loud aswell it made sleeping difficult. The room just didn't match the fresh new look of the downstairs.

« Basic Amenities need essential updating »

No issues with Check In. I'd booked an upgraded Executive room which was in the business centre. The code panel to access the room corridor was temperamental at best and took several attempts to work. My room, was Big. Very Big. It also had a large wood framed 4 poster bed in it. Whilst this is nice, A large space with an ornate bed does not make an Executive standard room - where was the fridge? Where was the bottled water, the biscuits with the coffee tray? Not here! There was no hot shower water despite the taps in sink running hot - just as well there was a heatwave to make the cold shower bearable. The WiFi does not reach to this part of the hotel and kept dropping out every 2 minutes. To make matters worse, this part of the hotel seems to be lined with lead or have some sort of Faraday cage built into it as there's also no phone signal/4g etc able to penetrate this part of the building. I used the fitness centre during my stay. It took me 5 attempts to get in as the code that reception gave me didn't open the door. I was eventually let into the building by another guest who got out of the pool to let me in. I decided not to use the "fitness centre" (or as i shall now refer to it, "the treadmill closet") and instead opted to go street running in surrounding area. On my return, i had 4 unsuccessful attempts to get back into the leisure building due to the dodgy code panel, and was again let in by another guest already inside. I then went to change in the male change room, which was completely flooded and absolutely filthy. I used the sauna for 15 mins or so (which was good) then went swimming. The pool has so many broken tiles, it's hard to walk in via the steps without stepping on one - a foot slicing accident waiting to happen. Similarly, there are numerous tiles missing and broken around the pool. I didn't stay in here very long, it was hardly a welcoming environment for a post-work exercise/relax. This is by far the WORST hotel gym/fitness/leisure centre/treadmill closet i have EVER been in - and i stay in hotels 3-5 nights a week and have done since 2006. I was not asked how my stay was when i checked out. If i worked in this hotel, i wouldn't dare ask guests this question either, i wouldn't want to risk inviting a torrential outpouring of complaint.

So, on one of the hottest days of the year, we enter the room and the radiator is on full blast, we turn the thermostat down, but when we ring reception, we are told that it cannot be turned down manually and someone has to go to the boiler. Although the requested fan arrived in the room in 5 minutes, the heating was on until we had to chase it up again a good couple of hours later, when someone finally came up with a pair of pliers to switch it off. The bed was comfy, but the door mirror in the room was broken, the chandelier looked like it needed some help, and the room was very hot. For that reason, we had to have the window open both nights, which didn't help with sleep as the traffic is very noisy. We ventured downstairs to use the 'leisure centre' - I think that is a bit of a stretch! The pool was fairly gross; holes in the ceiling, the water was cloudy, everything was rusty around the pool, the glass on the window was broken - all very dated and in need of some TLC - not at all like the pictures on the website. The experience of the bar on the second night resulted in me being given ice with a fly stuck to it, which wasn't great either. Overall, this place does have potential, but it needs some money spent on it - not really up to a standard I would stay in again.

« Great Staff - made a good stay - Hotel Pool very worn »

The hotel its self was lovely, little tired in some parts but understood it was going through renovation. The room was lovely but small not very much room when you have your bags in. Food was gorgeous, we had an All Inclusive Stay and the food was just great!! Swimming pool very tired, would be lovely with a lick of paint and a little TLC - the hotel has great potential. Last but not least LISA who works pretty much everywhere by the looks of it over the weekend was AMAZING!! she made our stay so welcoming. She was utterly a massive credit to the Hotel. There wasnt much she couldn't do to help.

Staff are very friendly. Hotel is quite run down and in need of attention. Location next to the road is very noisy and the main road appears to be used as a race track by locals at all times of the night.

I was places in the business suite away from the main hotel. The building is in dire need of a refurb as you have done in the hotel lobby and bar area, the room was hot, dark, fusty and some guests are not refraining from smoking, perhaps the alarms need to be updated. I was moved to a better room but it still needed more ventilation .

The room was fine - I was in Wolverhampton for business, so just needed somewhere to sleep and didn't expect any more. The dinner service was very good with a cheery and chatty member of staff that waited the tables. Good humoured and helpful.

Room very hot. Unable sleep in the bed. If windows opened to let in some air (at night) traffic noise was so bad. Still unable to sleep. Asked at reception if I could borrow a fan. Told very sorry but none available. Stayed at this hotel several times before. But in the business centre. Has always been a nice place to stay whilst working in the area..... but unfortunately I will not be returning if the weather is good.

The shower was luke warm if not cold, the rooms was dreary, as were the corridors; the staff (at the bar) was sharp (‘the bar is closed for ten minutes, come back then, cause I’ve got cash out) so there was no drink at the bar 2145 on Wednesday night (England had just played) and when I spoke to the reception she seemed suprised the bar war shut. I won’t be coming back again.
