« Comfortable stay »

Booked a premium king size room which we were given but sadly above the kitchen which had loud extractor fans. I requested a different room and this was arranged for us. The food in the bar was ok nothing special. Only there for one night and I would stay again as the room was very comfortable.

We were able to meet up in the conference room at our leisure, enjoy the afternoon and evening assisted by food and drink from the hotel, then retired to our rooms and met up again at breakfast. Very smooth. We felt looked after without it being oppressive. Thank you.

Returned to the Hotel after an unsatisfactory stay. Arrived at the Hotel around 5pm on Friday evening. Check in was very friendly. Room was very nice and spacious. Evening meal was good with friendly servers, spoilt by the fact we were prompted several times to pay for drinks we had with the meal, even though we asked to be added to our room so we could settle up on departure. Breakfast sat was excellent. 2 functions on the saturday evening and we were advised to either eat before 7.15 or after 8.30 so as not to clash with these. Meal once again was good with friendly servers. Not happy with the fact that we had a call in the room later that evening reminding us to pay for our drinks- Felt like criminals. There was only ! dressing gown in the room for 2 people. We had to ask for more coffee for the machine has it was not replenished in the room. The tissue box had not been changed on the dressing table even though it was empty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling to the left of the room. There were also cobwebs on the ceiling in the dining area. Bins were not emptied in either bathroom or bedroom. bed was not made properly as sheets were hanging out of the side. I know these are little things, but its the little things that complement the experience. If were full paying customers we could have been unhappy. Overall we did have a good stay . Your front of house staff and servers are very friendly, even though we were told they had been advised to look after us as it was a complimentary stay.

« Short but pleasant stay »

We only stayed one night and didn't eat in the hotel but it was a pleasant enough experience and I'd be happy to stay again and recommend to others. Check in was very efficient and our room, on the ground floor, was easy to find. The room including the bathroom was more spacious than I'd experienced in other similarly priced hotels. Everything was very clean and lights, TV, kettle etc were all present & in full working order which shouldn't be something to remark on but again, is rare in my experience with other hotel chains. Just a few comments... There was a slight draught through the window which didn't appear to close correctly. It appeared secure but there was a small gap. However, the curtains were thick blackout type and we turned up the heating so it wasn't really a problem. The bed was rather soft for my liking but imagine it would suit others just fine so that's down to personal preference. Bathroom towels were rather thin - seemed cheap & out of place with the quality of the rest of the hotel. There was a warning about keeping the bathroom door closed when showering so that the steam wouldn't activate the fire alarm. I did this, but after only about 5 minutes, thankfully when I was just finishing, the alarm certainly did go off! Luckily, turning off the water in the shower also turned off the alarm much to my relief. The alarm was very efficient in getting my teenage daughter out of bed however so could be considered a 'plus' in that respect!

We were surprised that our experience was so positive considering that the cost was minimal so very good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, ordering a taxi for us. We would definitely stay here again.

We basically choose you as you are 5 mins walk away from our son's house when we visit him. Otherwise, I doubt if I would to be brutally honest. I find your hotel an average lower three star with nil in particular to complain about but nil either to rave about either Both public and bedrooms a reasonable standard. But our main disappointment was breakfast. Service (barring from a slightly older lady last day) was almost non existent. Staff practically ignored you after solely taking room number. Quite few things on the buffet were not really good standard and cool, though not cold. Personally I was also disappointed with the number of obvious business meetings going on in public rooms, particularly twice in the restaurant at breakfast. Only a lady called Donna was a saving grace she was very friendly and helpful. IN conclusion I would say we had nil to really seriously complain but the hotel could have done better and oh so overpriced. .

It's nothing special. Bar food was pretty poor - fishcakes were served with a salad that obviously was rotten but clearly the kitchen staff didn't care. Bar staff were friendly. sheets etc were clean but there were stains on the walls and everywhere looks like it could do with a coat of paint.

It was a nice, clean place to stay. I would have stayed the previous night but it was a ridiculous price. The rooms were still available at silly prices that same night, surely if they went down in price the rooms would sell last minute?

We've stayed with yourselves several times over the past year. We were disappointed to be given a ground floor room which necessitated keeping the curtains closed because there was a staff pathway right outside it.

Adequate, reasonable three star establishment.We had a room on the ground floor with a staff pathway past the window, which meant we had to keep the curtains closed. Not perfect.Plenty of parking space for the car.
