Having stayed here before we decided to book again as we were visiting family in the area. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The only issue we had was a waterfall, from the choked gutter, when the rain was extremely heavy. The staff were superb and very helpful. If we come to the area again we will certainly stay here.

Visiting family in the area and have stayed here before. Excellent location, friendly staff and good accommodation. Breakfast had good choices but ordered poached eggs which took some time to arrive. Maybe should have ordered when we checked in for breakfast. Had dinner one night and were pleased with our meal. Well cooked and nicely presented. Will stay again on our next family visit.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. My only issue was I was charged a higher rate than the one quoted when I made the booking, but when I queried this later I was swiftly refunded the difference.

Lovely hotel and ladies at reception cant help you enough. Guys at the bar were very polite and chatty, food was great as always, room was clean and refurbished nicely, aircon was a massive advantage as it was a warm night. I stay here often and will continue to do so.

Awful experience

There was no air conditioning in our room and it was extremely hot, the staff said there was no fans and there was nothing they would do to assist with the issue. I told them I felt sick as the temperature in the room was so hot and they said there is nothing they can do. When I raised a formal complaint by email, the manager said "they will take my feedback onboard to ensure that the customers are satisfied in the future"

As communicated to you directly we are so sorry that during this exceptional adverse weather climate you found the accommodation during your stay uncomfortably hot. At the hotel we do not have air-conditioning in our standard rooms , and unfortunately all our fans were in use during your stay. Upon discussion we have made a reduction to your nights stay as an apology for the inconvenience caused. Once again please accept our apologies.

Receptionist was helpful when needing a taxi. Layout of hotel a bit odd going through staircases & doors to get to room, but I guess if one stayed longer then it would become habit.

The overall experience was enjoyable easy check in and out and the rooms were nicely cleaned and furnished. There was more positive then negatives definitely great staff and a lovely vibe. But things that could have been different: card machine didn’t connect during room service, wonky tv, no phone in room, reception needs a bell because sometimes no one was there unless you spoke up, was told the cheese cake was strawberry and it was chocolate didn’t notice till I already paid and I can’t have chocolate, wasn’t given a spoon with desert, half my drink was knocked over coming to my room yet no replacement was made, the hotel needs more things to do, limescale on shower glass, breakfast had inedible bacon and very cold toast, breakfast seating needs more single/two people tables, stains on walls and curtains. I had a good time don’t get me wrong but those are the small things that I would fix. Would stay again.

Good, however we were in Room 126, which was very nice but there was some noise all the time from the nearby A1. I cannot remember if on our previous visits to this hotel if we had been allocated a room on this side of the hotel, but it was the first time we had noticed the road noise. Otherwise everything else was to our satisfaction.

General quality of rooms, food and drink was good (though service very slow). Accidentially left behind a mobile phone charger and a silk jump suit which when I asked later same day had not been found.....

The night staff were a little over whelmed by the sheer numbers of guests requiring bar service when we returned from the wedding. Given how many people were attending the wedding and staying in your hotel, it should perhaps have been foreseen and an additional member of staff provided.

Damp smelling room

The Hotel was okay and good value for money however massively upset with a side area of the bed having damp carpet and the strong smell of damp and smoke.
