Put on a floor where lift out of service and I was staying with my two year old daughter. No assistance offered with bags or cases and daughter tripped going up the stairs Bathroom wasn’t very clean and towels were very small and thin Carpets also ready for a clean Breakfast I had to ask a member of staff for a drink as wasn’t offered

Enjoyed our 2 night stay the room was clean and because it was on the 3rd floor we left the window open for some fresh air. Bar service was slow at times but not alarmingly so. Close to a good nearby pub with good selection of beers. Park & ride railway station less than 5 mins drive away. Second time we have used this motel, we shall return.

« Disappointing stay »

We had problems with various aspects of the stay. Lift was not working, my mother was unable to use the stairs, so was moved. She was moved to a room on the bottom floor, only to find it hadn't been prepared. On the second day, while trying to get ready for a wedding, we suddenly found all water to our room stopped. We had to get ready in the Leisure centre! Finally we had issues checking out, as the bill was not correct. I also thought the hotel was in need of an uplift. On the plus side, we had an evening meal, which everyone enjoyed and the staff we polite and friendly.

Nice hotel, felt like it needed some more in the room to make it comfortable. For a Friday and Saturday, personally, I feel the room service hours should be longer as they are the two days when people will be out late, but that’s just me.

Hotel itself is nice, room and bar area well decorated, clean and tidy. Service in the resteraunt really slow and they got our order wrong - we were the only people in there. Food was nice enough. We went to a pub 5 minutes away the 2nd night, really good food and service. Issue with lack of travel cot in the room, took 5 hours to get one, at 10:30pm! (For a 1 year old) Asked several times to speak to the manager directly, nothing forthcoming - seemed to prefer to hide behind his front of house staff.

« Lovely hotel, great location. »

Had a great two night break. The location made it easy to visit all the places i wanted to go. The room was comfortable but very hot. Could have dome with A/C or a fan. Didn't like to sleep with the window open, being on the ground floor. The staff were great, I had an excellent stay.

As Accor members we are usually very happy with our stays but this hotel was atrocious. Our room had lamp shades with holes in them, the toilet seat was falling off and we had very little sleep as we were constantly woken by doors slamming and people yelling. The walls are so thin that when a door was closed anywhere, it violently rattled our door not to mention shooting us out of bed with the noise. I have never written a review like this before but Accor should realise what a place like this is doing to their good name. I can say the dinner we had was pleasant.

Me and my wife had to change into our clothes for the races at Chester suit/dress in the pool changing rooms which were wet and not ideal and in the morning we wanted a shower and only hot water was coming out of the taps no cold at all so we left without having breakfast to have a shower at home that’s why I’m not to happy

« Good value for money! »

Check in quick with informative staff, room was big with comfy bed, tea & coffee facilities. Only negative was with the hot weather there could have been a fan in the room as there is no A/C, even with the window open the room was stifling which made it hard to sleep, also could do with a flat sheet on bed as there was a thick quilt! We ate in the restaurant in the evening & the food was really good, also the breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. All staff in restaurant were friendly & attentive. Would stay here again!

Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Food was good but house wine (on all inclusive) was a bit of a let down. Room was clean although decor a little dated and dark especially with low level of lighting in the room. Bar could do with a brighter level of lighting too.

Staff, especially Kim, friendly and helpful. Nice to have swimming pool, but attention needed in changing area - even if just really-groutingand new shower curtains & new paint, would make a positive difference. Also new carpet in bedroom needed.

« Really good fun »

The room was really nice, clean and tidy. The hotel had a lot of unexpected benefits for a “budget” hotel like the gym and pool etc although not being the exercise types we sat at the bar all night where we were served by the lovely Martha who was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. All of your staff throughout the hotel were very helpful, friendly and accommodating! We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!
