« Good standard but need improvements »

Although the Hotel follows the Novotel standard we have face some issues with the noise of the AC, room with some improvement needed and breakfast with plastic glasses. The food was also cold and far from the novotel quality.

« There were good employees, but few, so the service was not good »

The employees that were there tried, but they were so busy that the service was not good. The company needs to hire more people especially this time of the year!!!! The pool was dirty also!!

« Novotel standard in check »

I was very disappointed with the Saturday breakfast which the croissant was cold and the drinks were only avalaible in plastic glasses. This is not Novotel standard. The hotel is very clean, comfortable with a very good service in general.

« Poor Beach Service »

Front desk service and breakfast were great! Probably few or at least slow elevators for high season period. Beach service certainly was the weak point! Staff on the beach were not wearing uniform or easily seen badges. Most of the umbrellas and some beach chairs were out of order and need some repair. There wasn't any beach service regarding drinks or snacks.

Very good location for the facilities and room. The beach is across the road and rooms have a beach view too. Special mention of the staff who was very very supportive and ready to help out. Liked the breakfast too. Very very good experience and I will do it again shortly .

« Bad Beach Service Experience »

I've had a bad experience with the beach service offered by the hotel. I asked for two umbrellas and the guy said that only one per room is allowed. Although, many umbrellas were available and not in use. The offered the second umbrella under an informal "payment" fee.

We loved our travel and stayed in Novotel Barra. It was wonderful. The hotel is in front of a blue and beautiful ocean and a beatiful beach with a big ciclocicle. l The staff are excellent We reccomended.

« Great facilities, poor service »

We asked for reservation for the New Year's Eve dinner in October 2017, they said they would return when they had the reservations available. I arrived at the hotel on Dec 28, I requested the reservation for the supper, they told me that there was no availability. Complained with management, they said they would give me a solution. On 31 they called me offering a table after a reorganization of the space. I had already hired another place and I was very upset. In addition the service at the pool and at breakfast was poorly prepared to cater for guests and mostly children. Unsatisfactory experience.

The room was of good size, modern and practical. The bedsheets and towels were crisp and clean. The mattress was a bit hard and the air con noisy but we got used to it. The shower was very good but the switch wasn't working which meant water would come from the shower head and the hose wether you like it or not. The breakfast was the star of the show: quality and variety. The staff in my opinion could do with better training as they were not helpful enough and would rarely smile back. Odd...

The hotel was full of noisy kids and the restaurant overcrowded at breakfast time. The room was dirty and access to the under-cover parking was too tight for a normal size car. I often stay the Novotel in Santos and was very disapointed with the experience on the Novotel Barra de Tijuca.

Apart from the information given at the moment of check in, that breakfast was included on the hotel reservation, it was charged separately at check-out. As a frequently user of Accor hotels this had never happen, even though all reservations are made using the same room option. The accommodation was clean and the service in the restaurant was good. __________ Apesar da informação dada no momento do check-in, de que o café da manhã estava incluso na reserva do hotel, foi cobrado a parte no check-out. Como um usuário frequente da rede Accor isso nunca me havia acontecido, mesmo que em todas as outras reservas a opção de quarto tenha sido a mesma. O quarto estava limpo e o serviço do resturante foi bom.
