I always try and stay in this hotel. It is now modern and in an ideal place in Barra. It is also great value for money. One negative point is the invoice never seems to arrive on my email.

Very clean and organized hotel, with great and very patient staff :) We were a very big group and definitely kept the staff a bit busy, but they were always very nice and polite. Special thanks to Janaína, from the cleaning crew, who was very caring and considerate throughout my stay. I wish there was a little more empathy from the reception when i requested for some fruit during night time (the kitchen was already closed, but fruits would be served for breakfast a few hours later); I was feeling a bit sick and needed to eat something light, but it couldn't be done for some reason. Had to wait until 7am, but by then i was already feeling much worse. A very good experience overall, but maybe I'm a little picky with some room details: - ac position is weird, it's always blowing on you - not a big fan of the closet door for the bathroom, specially because, when left open, it would block the main door. maybe a sliding door would work better? - poor tv selection and no audio selection option

The staff is very nice. Excelent view and location. Just the shower that is to weak. I know the importance of a conscious use of water, but when we arrive from the airport or work we pray for wayter falling on our shoulder, but just a little bit stroger. When I came from the beach i head to rub my feet and legs to take the sand off. Otherthat, wonderful stay. Thanks

I stayed in others Mercure as Arpoador, Belo Horizonte, Uberlandia and I always liked of the pattern of the AccorHotels. However at Mercure Barra cleanness was not good, the cleaner lady could tried to make her service. Tax/price of breakfast, I thought high for how many fruits, hams, bread, etc. the hotel offer. The menu is ta same day by day. I think a reasonable price should be between R$ 21-30,00. The hall of the apartments(5th) there was bad smell(mold) and it was hot. Size bed and shower are good. Staff were Courtesies.

Room ok, front desk friendly and helpful, clean and nice ambience, location not great but still to enjoy. Coming to breakfast, a terrible experience, just a couple of examples. In the country of the fruits only 2 were sereved, one green the second brown and old. Juices are 2 also, no natural but from boxes. Tapioca and eggs took 45 minutes, even when very few people were there, and we have to ask 4 times. Worst pao de queixo I have ever seen... And here the biggest shame: NO GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS, and staff has NO CLUE about it. A pitty that a Mercure has this horrible breakfast, which makes the whole experience not to be repeated.
