Clearly well used by sports people in the area. The room carpets need cleaning as many areas are stained. On a positive side the breakfast was reasonable and whilst I did not eat in the restaurant what I saw looked good. Beds are very comfortable The swimming pool is quite small and there is no shade. Reception staff need a training course on how to meet and greet!

The greeting from the desk was virtually non existent, in fact on each occasion when we entered or left no effort was made to acknowledge us. Rooms were acceptable but carpets stained. Beds were very comfortable and very clean. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, no air conditioning nor ventilation only the window that had no fly screen. You either stayed hot or invited flies in !

This is an excellent hotel for a short stopover, with the added bonus of a pool after a long drive. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very little clothes storage space in room, more suited for a stopover. Air conditioning very welcome and not intrusive. Only criticisms are: Extra pillows seem to be a problem, reception had to hunt around. Breakfast almost adequate, but not all items replenished. No soya milk alternative like other Ibis hotels. Signage to hotel could be improved. The cleaning staff needed to be given the right tools and chemicals to clean the bathroom; dirty grout between tiles, limescale staine in toilet. Shower could be improved with anti slip mat or grab handles. These are minor criticisms that would not stop us coming back to this hotel or recommending to others.

Lovely location. Happy with pool. Breakfast was poor as they were running out of everything and not topping up quickly. Meal was poor- pork was inedible. Room was good - clean and air con but hall carpets were not clean and had dirty marks all over. 2 British couples were not given wine glasses when others were. As a business/ gold card holder wasn’t offered free drinks and had to argue for discount.

It was a nice location but an average hotel.

The welcome was good and the room all OK but the carpet very old. We liked the location and there was a pleasant terrace for a fine evening. The restaurant food was acceptable for the price and enough variety for a small place. The service was prompt enough but no wine glasses were delivered with the wine - we drank from water glasses and when the water arrived we shared the glasses with the water! We accepted it in good humour but a little training would not go amiss.

Staff helpful and curtious ! Corridor to bedroom on third floor smelt of toilets ! Room was dark and shabby , beds comfortable , ensuite shower room floor extremely slippy. The swimming pool looked dirty and water quality was cloudy ,hence we did not swim . Beakfast poor quality compared to novotel or mercury hotels we have always used .The whole hotel looked as if in need of refurbishment ! This is the first time that we have used Ibis and we found overall very poor value for money in comparison with novotel or mercure.

It was ok. We had noticed the soap dispensers were just loose in the bathroom rather than attached to the wall. We would have been ok as not essential. However when we came to leave our room we noticed that there was no security metal plate to hold the catch or the lock and that most of the wood in the door jamb was splintered and missing. We regarded this as a security risk, both when we were in the room and in particular when we went out. We reported this immediately to the young man on the desk and asked for another room. He replied that there were no other rooms and insisted that there was no security risk, partly because there was a large contingent of police on site! I then asked that he transfer us to another hotel at IBIS cost - he said he could not do this. I then asked to speak to his manager, who was not on site, but who must be contactable in case of an emergency. He still refused and then turned away and walked off. He actually found a solution by swapping our allocated room for one which had been allocated to the large group of police, but who had not yet checked in. For me the following lessons should be learnt: 1. A room with broken locks should not have been sold to or used by any hotel guest. Housekeeping should have reported the damage and the room closed off. 2. The broken soap dispensers should have also have closed the room or at least a question asked as to whether it would be a problem. 3. A young duty receptionist should always have someone to contact in an emergency - a room that should not have been in use in a fully booked hotel could be such a circumstance. 4. The young member of staff needs to be trained to understand that when elderly people consider that there is a security risk, because of a damaged door, then it needs to be dealt with, not fobbed with “ there is no security risk”. 5. The room should have been closed for use - if a young person on their own had been allocated the room, they may not have been prepared to make sure their safety was secured by complaining. Please let me know in due course what actions have been taken to ensure this kind of situation cannot arise in any Accor hotel which we have used frequently for at least 10 years.

Hello, We understand the situation and we present all our apologies However, as the receptionist said you, there was an important police team of around 50 people who slept in the hotel and who, to the other guests, it was surprising but funny Also, in normal situation, the hotel is always calm and safe We understand that this door is "damaged" but except with a violent hit, as you demonstrated to the young man, the room is safe Please accept again our apologies Best regards The front desk team

Everything was quite nice regarding the rooms But the entrance road is not so easy to find, the breakfast was really dirty. Much dirty water on the floor. Some fly in the milk, no joghurt present which is so rarely, because every professionnal knows that many people are Lactose non compatible...( which is in the milk) Orange machine was not working correctly so the orange juice was so bad...

The first bedroom we were given was very dangerous due to the ceiling beam being so close to the bed,in the dark going to the bathroom would be a problem with this beam. The friendly member of staff on duty moved us to a better room downstairs but the state of the carpet in the hall way outside was stained and looking manky it was the worst I have seen and not up to the usual Accor standards.

The hotel could do with updating and a good clean. The swimming pool was not in use which was a disappointment. The beds were comfortable with good quality bed linen. The breakfast was also very good although it was difficult to find clean cutlery. The fire alarm went off but felt staff were not trained to deal with this. One of your staff just sat on the check out desk while we stood outside in nightware. None of your staff seemed bothered and it took a customer to take control.
