Hotel is located at the center of Xiamen, only 15 minutes drive from the Airport. Surrounding by the lack which makes the view outside of the rooms even better. The room is clean and cozy and the services are all on point. I honestly will stay there again if I visit Xiamen again.

« The only citicism with the hotel is the smoking »

I liked the room, the restaurant and the facilities. My criticism is that I asked for a non-smoking room but there was an ash tray in my room and it smelt of smoke, so I assume it is both. Also, there were smoking rooms on the fourth floor where I was allocated. People would leave their doors open while smoking, hence, walking from my room into the corridor was offensive. For me to want to return to this hotel, then I would like to see it a smoke free environment and that patrons should be allocated a smoking area outside only. Thank you for seeking feedback.

« Club Lounge ??? »

It is one of the worse club lounges. I heard that GM left last year and hasn't been replaced. Until GM is in place and hotel management is improved, don't spend extra money to get the club lounge access. Not worth it. I was told when I checked in at the receiption that the happy hours were from 5.30 -7.30pm. It turned out to be 7-8pm which is very late comparing to other lounges. When I turned up after 7pm, there was nothing there. I was given a menu to order and food arrived 1 hour and 15 mins later with incorrect order. I believed that staff weren't sure what dishes should look like so they just distributed whatever they thought. Food was cold and dried. Won't come back again for sure.

It was nice and clean. The décor in the room was modern. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. I wish the room service had some more variety. The tiramisu I ordered on the room service menu was not nice, so I did not eat the whole thing.

The room is clean and big. I have the lake view. Service is so so. I came to run the Xiamen Marathon. Before I came to the hotel I sent an email to ask whether I could have some rice in the early morning. But there was no answer from the hotel. When I arrived, I asked again. The front office told me that I could have a packed breakfast to send to my room at 5:00AM. However, I needed to called the room service to get the breakfast at about 5:30. The marathon started at 7:30AM. So, I think the hotel staff should pay more attention to guests' special requests. Besides, I found it good to stay in this hotel. There are restaurants and bar nearby. If I come back again, I probably will choose this hotel again.

We had pleasant experience. The staff are helpful and proffesional. The manager revommendation of the chinese restaurants is a good one and we end up eating there whenever its possible. The lounge staff is very helpful too. However, getting a taxi seems to be a bit difficult.
